Two 6th graders, Hannah Mae and Ava, are practicing for a play called Matilda at St. Vincent de Paul. Hannah plays Miss Honey and Ava is part of the ensemble. There is a lot of singing in the play and about 90 kids from St. Vincent are involved. The performances will be in November around Thanksgiving and tickets will be on sale soon. They encourage people to buy tickets and come see the play. Hello, and we're back to Royal Radio with DJ Daza, 90.5 FM. We have here a couple of students from our upcoming play for St. Vincent de Paul. Girls, welcome to Royal Radio. Thanks for being here. We have Hannah Mae and Ava. They are two 6th graders. They're going to tell you what play they're practicing. And girls, do you know the dates of your performance? I think I do. Okay. Maybe. Come on in. Introduce yourselves. Give us your name. Well, I just said 6th grade. And tell us what play you're practicing and how it's going. My name's Hannah Mae, and we're practicing Matilda. And I think it's going pretty good. Oh, and what character do you play, Hannah? Miss Honey. My name is Ava, and I think that we are doing very good in the play. And I'm Ensemble. And what do you do as part of Ensemble, Ava? You kind of sing as a group, and you're like all together singing songs and doing the dances. Awesome. Hannah, is there a lot of singing in this? Would you call it a musical? Yeah, this is like the most singing we've ever done in a play before. And Ava, how many weeks or months do you put into practicing for this play before your performance? A lot. When did you start, Hannah? When did you start practicing? I think we started in September, like the second week of school. Awesome. Ava, how many kids at St. Vincent are involved in this play, approximately? About 90 or more. 90 kids from St. Vincent are involved in this play. It's going to be rocking. And the performances are coming up in November, correct? Yeah. Awesome. And it's coming up on Thanksgiving? Yeah. Okay. Tickets will be on sale soon. What do you think, girls? Should people buy tickets to this play? Yes. Yes. You should. Awesome. Thank you so much for being here. Thanks for listening to Royal Radio, and we'll see you at Matilda Jr. in November.
