Nothing to say, yet
The speaker emphasizes the importance of progress and maintaining a framework for it. They mention an example of someone giving a public presentation and how a learning project can help track progress. The project involves regularly discussing areas of progress and areas that need improvement. The speaker highlights the importance of focusing on progress rather than what is going wrong. They also mention that the learning project promotes ownership and accountability. Overall, the learning project helps maintain continuity and a consistent pace in coaching sessions. Now, progress is powerful, and we have to keep a framework around it. So when you think about, going back to an earlier example of someone public speaking, and they have a big presentation coming up, the learning project can be, come in every week, Joanne, and I want you to share with me two things where you feel like you're progressing and that one area where you feel like progress needs to maybe accelerate a little bit more. Notice I didn't say what's going bad or wrong or something you should be terrified of. The learning project keeps the conversation going, yet it also bestows ownership and accountability on the rightful owner, the person that you're coaching. So when you're thinking about progress, tie the progress, where do you feel like you're progressing and where do you feel like you need to continue to progress, or maybe accelerate your progression as it relates to whatever you're coaching to, fill in the blank. That learning project will create continuity and a cadence between your coaching sessions.
