The Lord's name is praised from sunrise to sunset. Pastor and Mrs. DeGraft Tewia lead a prayer session and discuss the importance of going back to God for guidance. Jesus, facing the difficult task of dying for humanity's sins, sought strength and courage from the Father through prayer. When we face challenges in fulfilling our purpose, we should go back to God, share our struggles, and seek His peace and strength. Prayer is not a sign of weakness but of strength. The memory verse is Matthew 26:39. Stay connected for more spiritual content. From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord's name is to be praised. Shalom blessed family, all praise and thanks to the Most High God for making it possible for us to receive of Him today. God bless you for partaking in the prayer start-up session. Facilitating today's morning glory devotion is Pastor and Mrs. DeGraft Tewia. Let us pray. Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for a time like this to come before you. We pray for an encounter as we look into your word. In Jesus mighty name, Amen. Let us take a confession from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous and then I will have good success. Amen. The theme for our devotion this morning is go back to the architect. And our scripture reading is from Matthew chapter 26 the verse 39 to be read from the New King James version. He went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed, saying, Oh my father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. Amen. Go back to the architect. During my national service days, I had the opportunity to be assigned to the works and housing department of the institution I served at. This department consisted mainly of civil engineers and architects. Anytime they worked on the drawing of a sideburn, I got so confused. It was very opaque to me until I began to ask questions. The daily questions I asked and the answers I received from them helped me appreciate and understand the drawings with time. Jesus had consented to the father's request of coming to die for the sins of humanity. He knew this assignment wasn't going to be easy, but he learned to always go back to the father daily through the fellowship of prayer. Mark chapter 1 verse 35. Right through till he finally gave up the ghost. At the time for the fulfillment of this great and tasking assignment, Junior, and was weighing on him, he went back to the father to dialogue about the matter. In the process, he received strength and courage to go through till the end. Beloved, God, who is the chief architect and engineer of our destinies, has our individual lives mapped out according to his plans. But at certain points, when things seemingly do not make room, when we feel like quitting to go and chase after other things, we must find our way back to the father to make our case. Like Jesus did, let him know how challenging the assignment is to you. Talk to him about your fears and how you even doubt yourself. Talk to him about your desire and readiness to throw in the towel. Not only will you have peace at the end of the day, but he will also strengthen you to finish your course. Brethren, talking to God about the difficulties we face in the execution of our God-given assignment isn't an act of weakness. It is an act of strength. Indeed, the Psalms are filled with prayers of desperation, cries for help and support in difficult situations. Please do not get tired of going back to him. Pray one more time. Cry out tomorrow and the next day until you sense his peace and his strength. Amen. Our memory verse for today shall be taken from Matthew chapter 26 verse 39. These I'll be reading from the New King James Version. He went a little further and fell on his face and prayed saying, Oh my father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. Amen. Please let us share a word of prayer. Father, we thank you for your word this morning. We thank you that indeed you are the chief architect of our lives and destinies. We pray for grace to always find our way back to you when things seem uncertain. And we pray also that peace and strength will be our portion. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Beloved God, we bless you for staying connected. Kindly join us again same time tomorrow for more spirit filled content. Shalom and have a blessed day. Amen.
