The podcast "FROZEN" explores the topics of women speaking, feminism, wealth, power, and the legacies of feminists throughout history. The hosts, German students at Center College, created the podcast as a creative representation of their ideas about feminism. They are looking forward to discussing and learning about feminism, gender studies, and feminist empowerment. They define feminism as a range of movements that aim for equality between the sexes. The podcast will cover various topics and relate them to Germany and America. This is episode one, and more is to come. Cheers! And welcome to FROZEN. My name is Adam. My name is Allie. And my name is Nick. In this podcast, we'll be taking an in-depth look into what happens when women speak, what defines a feminist, their wealth power, and a legacy of feminists throughout history. So why did we create this podcast? We're all German students at Center College and enrolled in a class called German 150, When Women Speak, from Luxembourg to Davis. And part of the course is creating our own creative representation of our idea of feminism and just to be able to explore what we've learned in class. So what are we all looking forward to? I mean, I can go first. I'm looking forward to just actually doing this podcast because I think it is a fun idea to just be able to think and create my own ideas and give what I want to say on the topics that we learn. I'm looking forward to this course and kind of like this podcast just because I'm really interested in gender studies and feminist empowerment and things like that. So I'm just looking forward to taking a deeper dive into individual women and their legacies. For me, I've always been pro-feminist and all that, but I don't really have much knowledge on the topic. And I think taking this course will kind of help me learn more about feminism and what I can do and just educate me more about it. Yeah, so I guess like kind of just introducing the idea of feminism is something we should do here in the first episode. So what is a feminist? Well, a feminist is a range or feminism is a range of socially associated political movements and ideologies that aim to define and establish the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes. And that came from Dictionary.com? No, I think it just came from my Google search. I'm going to go on Wikipedia or Dictionary.com. Yeah, and so in order to be a feminist, you should be advocating for political change and economic equality, political equality, and all those things. So I guess we'll really get to dive into what that looks like over the next few weeks. Every day we'll have a new topic and either a different woman, a theory, a movement, time period, and relate it to what is going on in Germany and also kind of the connection to America. Yeah, perfect. Well, that's all. That's episode one of Frialism and there's more to come. Cheers!
