The things that we've said all today, didn't we realize that God heard them? Do we know that God heard them? And do we know that there are consequences behind what we've said because he heard it? Mm-mm-mm. Names 3, 1 through 12, is our main scripture. Our subtopic scripture is Proverbs 18, verse 20 and 21. Our main scripture is James 3, 1 through 12. And our subscripture is Proverbs 18, 20 through 21. God is listening is our topic tonight. Power of the tongue is this series. 1 through 12 of James 3, and it reads, I'm coming from the, you remember, I'm coming from the English Bible. I'm coming from the Easy English Bible. The E-E-B, what I'm coming from tonight. The Easy English Bible is what I'm coming from tonight. And it's going to really, really, really help us out on tonight. James 3, 1 through 12, and it says, my Christian friends, not many of you should become teachers. We people who teach God's message must be very careful. When God judges everybody, he will demand more from us than from other people. We all make many mistakes. So if someone never says anything that is bad, that person is completely good. It shows that he has authority over his whole body. Verse 3, for example, think about how we make a horse go the right way. We put a small bit of metal in his mouth so that we can turn it. Then we can cause the horse's whole body to go where we want it to go. Also, think about ships that sail on the sea. They are very large. Strong winds push them with great power. But we fix a piece of wood at the back of the ship. With this small piece of wood, the master can cause the ship to go anywhere that he wants it to go. Verse 5, in the same way, our tongue is a very small part of our body. But it speaks as it is very great. Think about this. A very small fire can cause even a big forest to burn completely. A person's tongue is like a fire. It has the power of everything in the world that is wrong. It is a small part of the body, but it can spoil the whole person. Like a fire, it can destroy all of a person's life. It is a fire that comes from the fire of hell itself. Verse 7, remember this. People can cause all kinds of things to do what they want them to do. They have done this with wild animals, birds, snakes, and things that live in the sea. But no person can rule their tongue. They continue to say bad things, and it is like a bad poison that can cause death. We use our tongue to praise the Lord God, who is our Father. But then we use it to curse other people. This is wrong, because God made those people to be like himself. This shows that we use the same mouth to praise also to curse many Christian friends. We should not do this. Salty water and sweet water never come from the same spring. A fig tree cannot give olive, my friend. A vine for grape cannot give figs. And a salty spring cannot give sweet water. Oh, my brothers and sisters, our topic tonight is God is listening. We have been in this series for a couple of weeks, The Power of the Tongue. We just finished reading James 3, verses 1-12. He's giving us an example of how we should speak and how we are not to speak. Because everything that proceeds out of your mouth, you will be accountable for. The word you say, he is also instructing us to speak in a way that does not only promote life, but it gives God the glory. When we look at James 3, verses 1-12, he is instructing us not only to speak in a way, but to speak in a way that it gives God the glory. Because every word that we speak out of our mouth, we are going to be held accountable for. And we talked about last week, does it matter what we say? And we've seen some things and we went through some stuff that opened up our eyes not only to be imitators of God, but to be imitators of him so that we could be children for him. So when we come to this conclusion, since last week until now, what words have you spoken? Because our topic tonight is God is listening. What have you said on today that pleases God? What have you said on today that did not please God? Because you're going to be held accountable for that, and we're going to talk to some brothers that are going to give us some understanding that every word that comes out of your mouth is going to cause you to do two things. It's going to condemn you or it's going to judge you. I'm going to justify you, I'm sorry. It's going to condemn you or justify you. My brothers and sisters, the power of the tongue. Tonight's topic is God is listening. It does matter what we say. Our word has power. And the more we understand that, the more we train ourselves how to communicate. How to communicate with love, joy, meekness, and temperance. We, as children of God, we've got to stop having attitudes. We've got to stop putting ourselves in situations and expect God to get us out of them. We should be the happiest people in the world no matter what's going on in our life. Lights cut off, water cut off. I know that my God said he would supply all of my needs according to his riches and glory. Now, he did not mess up. There's so much down the line that I miss when my lights got cut off or my water got cut off. It wasn't God's fault. It wasn't that he didn't hear me because he hears me according to the scripture. But he doesn't hear a foolish person's prayers. He doesn't hear it. If you're talking nonsense all the time, God does not hear you. And so, this is the reason why our prayers are not being answered because we're not speaking increase, we're speaking decrease. And we're going to talk to some brothers and sisters, they're going to give us a lot, a lot, a lot of answers and examples of why God is not listening to us. But he definitely hears us. Proverbs 18, let's go there. Proverbs 18, 20 and 21. I'm coming from the easy English Bible on today. I'm coming to you from the easy English Bible on today. Easy English Bible. We're coming from on today. Proverbs 18, let's go there. 20 and 21. 18, verse 20 and verse 21. The easy English Bible we're coming from today. We're talking about God is listening. Listen to what it says in Proverbs 18. If you speak words that help people, they are like good food. Words have the power to bring life or death. So be careful if you talk a lot. Oh, y'all come on and talk to me up in here. Verse 21 says words have the power to bring life and death. And it goes on to say, so be careful if you talk a lot. There are a lot of talking Christians, but they're only talking idle words. They're only talking decrease and not increase. We should only be speaking increase. There are so many people that don't know God or so many born-again Christians that don't know how to walk by faith. We have millions of people that are talking problems in decrease. God needs someone to talk increase, and that's us. We should be able to see the worst thing happen and say, I don't care what they say because the church is in this country. And this is what we have to stand on and what we have to know. My brothers and sisters, it does matter what we say. For the sake of the church and for those need to come in the church because the Lord is blessing this place. It doesn't matter what's going on. It doesn't matter if they come out and use a certain amount of water. It doesn't matter if the ozone is drying up. It doesn't matter what's going on. As long as the church is in this place and we're decreeing, we're declaring that it will be established and light will shine on it, God will be with us. Because why? We're speaking increase. We are in this world, but we're not a part of this world. But we got too many in this world and we got too many that are a part of this world by the way they are speaking. We have to change the direction of our words and it will change the direction of our lives. When we speak increase, things happen. If we are in the image of our Lord and Savior, there's no word that He has spoken came back unto Him void. So why is our words coming back unto Him void? The reason why is because we believe everybody's word but our own. It's sad that you don't believe the very words that come out of your mouth. And another thing that's sad, you don't believe what you're saying but it's happening anyway when you're speaking decrease among yourself. When you're saying that child ain't going to be nothing. When you're saying I'm sick. When you're saying I don't have enough. When you're saying I'm broke. When you're saying I ain't going to never get out of this hell. You are speaking condemnation amongst yourself. You are speaking decrease over yourself. And you expect God to get you out of there and He's not. He has already equipped us with everything that we need. And we also got to remember God is listening to what you're saying. You got to talk the way He talks. When He said let there be light, there was light. And guess what? Light is still forming because it did not come back unto Him void. Our words have power. Use them. If your money looking funny, call your money especially look at your money. You got to line up with the word of God. But before your money going to line up, you got to line up. When you get in order, your words will get in order. We cannot allow our words to get in order if we're not in order. It's not going to happen. Because if you're out of order, you're going to continue to speak out of order. So when you line up with the word of God, your words will line up with the word of God. And it will cause you to speak increase over yourself. Oh my brothers and sisters, God is blessing us anyhow. He's preparing us right now as I speak. And people don't understand what we are doing or saying because they don't understand anything else but decrease. But we do. So we are responsible. Listen to me carefully. We are responsible for what we know. And we must talk faith. And we must talk increase. Yes. Hold your spot right there in Proverbs 18. Let me give you some nuggets here. Ezekiel 35, 12, and 13. Hold your spot in Proverbs 18, 20, 21. Now hold your spot tonight. We're going to come back there. But go meet Ezekiel 35. Ezekiel 35, go there with me. Verse 12 and 13. God is listening to what you're saying. So if we know better, the old saying says let's do better. This is what it says, Ezekiel 35, 12 and 13. Now remember, God is listening. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have heard you. You have insulted the mountain of Israel, you said. Those mountains have become a desert, so we can't take them for ourselves. Verse 13, you said many proud things to insult me. You thought that you were greater than me. I've heard everything that you said. That's the easy English Bible. God said he heard everything that you said. So we're wondering why we're not growing. We're wondering why we're not prospering. We're wondering why we don't have the provision to meet every need. Every month, every week, every day. We're wondering. Because God heard every word that you said. It's amazing how Paul said that we praise the same God but curse out of the same mouth. We bless and curse out of the same mouth. It's amazing, oh, I thank you, Lord, but I turn right around and curse my brother or my sister out. And we're wondering why we're not prospering. Last week, we talked about it doesn't matter what you say. Today, we're talking about God is listening. So what you spoke on today, God heard that, whether you knew it or not. As a matter of fact, we'll go to a session break right now. Repent. Because it's never too late. We've got to stop waiting for Sunday morning to repent and start repenting immediately. Take your time. Don't rush on me. I've got a whole hour. Don't rush. It's time, my brothers and sisters. It's time to start speaking increase. Stay where you're at. Go to Medicai real quick. Medicai 2 and 17. I want you to hear this here. Medicai 2 and 17. Listen to what it says, verse 17 of Medicai chapter 2. The Lord has become tired as he listens to your words. You ask, why is he tired? What have we done to cause that? You say the Lord thinks that all people who do evil things are good. He does not punish them, but he is happy with them. You also say God is not here to bring justice. This is the issue, my brothers and sisters, that is taking place in our lives. Because when we speak out of words, when we speak other things, this is exactly what Scripture is saying that we are saying. Well, let me say it again. Get it out of King James. Matthew 2, 17. Out of the King James. Matthew 2. I'm going to start with Medicai 2. Medicai 2 and 17. Let me read it to you again from the easy English Bible. Easy English Bible. Give me a second here. The Lord has become tired as he listens to your words. You ask, why is he tired? What have we done to cause that? You say the Lord thinks that all people who do evil things are good. He does not punish them, but he is happy with them. You also say God is not here to bring justice. Amen. Evangelist Mazon said in order for our words to change, our mindset must change. That only happens when we get closer to God. Amen. That's it. Medicai 2 and 17. Yes. And it says you have wearied the Lord with your words, yet you say in what way have we wearied him? In that you say everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them. Or where is the God of justice? That's what we're saying. When we're speaking anything other than what he has already commanded us to speak, this is what we're saying. The Lord has become tired as he listens to our words. We ask, why are you tired, Lord? What have we done to cause you to feel that way, Lord? And you say, Lord, think that all people who do evil are good. He does not punish them, but he is happy with them. You also say God is not here to bring justice. Because if you understood that he brings justice with the words coming out of your mouth, you would not be talking that way. And so this is what we're saying to the Lord when we speak idle words. This is what we're saying to the Lord when we talk decreed. This is what we're saying to the Lord when we're mistreating our brothers and sisters. This is what we're saying to the Lord. The Lord is tired of us. He's tired of listening to our words. The Lord thinks that all people who do evil are good. He does not punish them, but he is happy with them. This is what you're saying. Because you think that it's okay to talk that way. But oh, you just wait as the message tonight moves forward. We're going to see that he's not pleased with the way that we talk. It starts now, my brothers and sisters. We have to change the way we carry ourselves. At all times. God is not a God that's in one place. He's everywhere. GMI 23. GMI 23. 33 through 40. GMI 23. Verse 33 through verse 40. The Lord said, GMI, someone may ask you a question. He may be one of these people or a prophet or a priest. He may ask you, what message of trouble is the Lord telling us now? Then you must say to him, you are the trouble. The Lord says that he will go away from you. If a prophet, a priest, or anyone else says, I have a message of trouble from the Lord, I will punish that person. I will punish his whole family, too. Instead, each of you should ask your friends, what is the Lord's answer? Or what has the Lord said? You must not speak anymore about a message of trouble from the Lord. It is the person's own message that brings the trouble. And that way, you change the true message of our God, the living God who is the Lord Almighty. Lord Almighty. You should ask the prophet, what answer did the Lord give to you? Or what did the Lord say? You must no longer say, what is the message of trouble from the Lord? If you continue to say that, when I have told you not to say it, this is what will happen. I will pick you up and I will throw you away. I will send you all a long way away from me. I will chase out all the people of this city that I have gave to you and your ancestors. I will make you very ashamed. People will never forget your great shame. My brothers and sisters, God is listening. The Lord cares about what you say. Don't think this don't apply to you. Because it is the spirit of the thing. When you say, what now? What they want? Etc. etc. He said some harsh things toward them. But what started it? It was the words that they said that started everything. My brothers and sisters, you got to see this. We got to live like God. He is everything that we say. And that He does care. A big part of faith is speaking increase in our lives and also into others lives. That we may speak increase into a dead situation. And we got to get to the point. And to the place where we believe. What we say and things happen so we can speak blessing and cursing out of the same mouth. It's amazing that we speak blessing and cursing out of the same mouth. How we praise God all Sunday then we raise hell all Monday. Something is wrong with that timeline. Why can't we retain the goodness of Jesus throughout our life? How do we allow evil to come up in something that is so good? How do we allow that? It's because of our very own thoughts and words. No one can make you mad but yourself. No one can cause you to do what you are doing but yourself. But we are quick to blame everybody and everything else that is causing us to act the way that we are acting. We are acting that way because that seed, that spirit is already on the inside of us and we have not cast it down. Every thought and every imagination that tries to come up against us. We're still playing with the enemy. We're still jumping rope with him. We're still on the swing with him. We're still making mud pies with him. We're still eating with him. We're still sleeping with him. We're still hanging out with him. So this is why it's so easy for it to come up out of us. If you want something good to go into your heart, something first has to go good into your ears. It is so true my brothers and sisters. The woman of God said we're not crucifying our flesh daily. Exactly. Exactly. We have to beat this body black and blue. We cannot continue to play with this thing called life. Because God is listening. He's hearing everything that we are saying including our thoughts. God is listening. Yes. Do you know that? Maybe you didn't think he was. Maybe you think that he's so busy that he don't hear you. Or maybe you made up in your mind, you know what I mean, I've been praying and praying and praying. He ain't heard though so I can just say what I want to say. But I'm here to tell you brother and sister, God is listening. And it's going to cost you dearly. And not only is it going to cost you, but it's going to cost you and your family. It's going to cost you everything that you worked so hard for. This is what it says in verse 34 of Jeremiah 23 in the English Bible. If a prophet, a priest, or anyone else says I have a message of trouble from the Lord. He say I will punish that person. I will punish his whole family too. So the words that we are speaking not only condemning us, but it condemning our family. And it condemning everybody that we associate with. And we wonder why there's so much chaos on the job. It ain't the people that are there, it's you. But we're quick to put the blame on someone else and we're the biggest enemy of our own self. We're the biggest enemy of our own self. Mother Carla said yes he is. What is he hearing you say? This is so serious brother and sister. It doesn't matter what we say. And God is listening. But you got to know that he is listening to you. He hears you. But he does not hear fools that are praying with idle words. He's not hearing that. And I'm going to give you a scripture to back that up. He's not hearing that. He's not hearing wicked words, wicked prayers. He's not hearing that. So when you talk idle, hurt someone with your words, slap someone with your words, and then go and try to pray and not repent, God is not hearing you. And this is what's really taking place in our lives. This is what's happening. This is why our marriage is jacked all up. This is why our kids are acting out. This is why there's so much murdering going on in the world now. Because we're acting just like them. This is why the enemy can walk up in the house of God and go to shoot. With no problem at all. There used to be a time when we'd ride by our church. Y'all know what I'm talking about. We'd play our music. We'd turn the music off. Until we passed by the house of God. But no one respects God anymore. Like he's not listening. We go on the church ground now and go to fighting and crying and cutting the food. We go on the church ground now and go to lying and telling lies. We go on the church ground now doing whatever we big and bad to do. And we're wondering why we're suffering. It's amazing how the world that don't serve our God is living better than the world that are serving God. Or pretending to serve God. We've got to change our words. We've got to change our mindset. We've got to change our hearts. And to start with you, Michael Jackson said it better. It's the man in the mirror. It's you. If you want something to take place, something to change, start with yourself. Because don't nobody need to change but you. You're the only one that needs to change. Everybody else is doing fine but you. We're so quick to want everybody else to change, but we don't want to change. We're taking massage. We dress nice. We quote scriptures. We've got our education. And we're pretending to be something on Sunday but raising hell on Monday. Who are you behind those closed doors? When nobody else is listening? Are you verbal or abusive? But passionate when you're in the house of God. Oh, you double tongue you. Let me move on from this thing here. Go over to Proverbs 10. God is listening, my brothers and sisters. Proverbs 10 chapter, verse 19. Y'all ready for this? Here it comes. Y'all know how Proverbs is. Proverbs calls you a fool. It talks about you. It makes you embarrassed. Proverbs don't care what Proverbs say. Listen to what it says in verse 19 of the easy English Bible. Verse 19, Proverbs 10. It says, if you talk too much, you will soon do something wrong. But if you are wise, you will stop talking. Verse 19. If you talk too much, you will soon do something wrong. But if you are wise, you will stop talking. Our minds are being renewed by the words that we speak. Our minds are being renewed by the words that we speak. If you speak decreased, your mind gonna still be wicked. If you speak increased, your mind gonna be righteous. If you speak decreased, your mind gonna be righteous. It's gonna be one or the other. So what are you speaking over yourself determines what words come out of your mouth. If you are speaking bad to someone, you are speaking wicked to them. So that means that you are speaking decreased over yourself. Because the same seed that you sow, you're gonna reap. Amen. And we're wondering why we're reaping these type of seeds, these type of issues. Because we're speaking to someone else. So we're gonna reap ourselves. Proverbs 18 says, death lies in the power of the tongue. Now whosoever speak of it shall enjoy it, shall eat of it. So we're eating our very words that we're speaking out of our mouth. And wondering why we're having this issue. Then we gotta know the blame of the devil. And the devil is you the devil. Yes sir. You the devil. You're speaking this over yourself. But we're quick to put in place. The devil told me to give y'all a message. He said stop lying on him. He's enough trouble as it is. Come on brothers and sisters. How bad do you really want this? Aren't you tired of suffering? Aren't you tired of paycheck to paycheck? Aren't you tired of ups and downs in your life? Aren't you tired of not being able to handle through a mediocre crisis that happened in your life? Aren't you tired of repeating the same cycle year after year? And fooling yourself that you're growing but you have not grew a bit? You're hanging around certain people to make yourself feel good. But soon as someone exposes you, you wanna leave. And go to someone that's gonna agree with you. And you will never grow that way until you get past the pain and the hurt. Whoo, my God, my God. Let me give it to you one more time. Like Jesus said, if you talk too much, you will soon do something wrong. But if you are wise, you will stop talking. My God, my God, my God. My brothers and sisters. We are speaking spirit. Hear me carefully. We are speaking spirit. And when we speak, it's already manifesting in our belly. Whoo, my God, my God. We are speaking spirit. And when we speak, it's already manifesting in our belly. Oh, come on. And when it starts manifesting in our belly, it starts shifting the atmosphere. Things starting to move. You can't see it in the natural, but it's starting to move. It's stirring up gifts in your belly. And you are connected with another spiritual gift, spirit speaking individual. Ah, glory. The two of you combine together. And we're wondering why this shaking started to take place in our lives. Because we're shaking some things off of us that don't belong to us. We're shaking things off our family. We're shaking things off our jobs. And so when people are starting to fall away from us, God is shaking them off of you. We got to know when pruning season is. A lot of times we don't want to cut away. Sometimes you got to cut away the pain. You know when you have surgery and stuff, the excess skin, the doctor cut that away. He pruned that away because it's no good for what's about to take place. My God, my God. So sometimes we got to cut some things away. We got to cut some people away in order to grow. In order to heal. God is listening. Let me move on. My God, my God. God is listening. And when the atmosphere shifts, my brothers and sisters, that we may receive power to increase, to prosper in our lives as well as other lives by changing the way we speak. Now watch this. Most people are praying instead of saying things. Everything you don't have to pray for. Some things you need to be speaking to. Quit praying about stuff that you can speak at. Quit walking the floor all night long praying about this and say, say something worth saying to get me behind me. Start speaking to that problem. If your baby is sick, start speaking to that cold. If your daughter is sick, start speaking to that fever. If something is wrong in your household, don't pray about it. Speak about it. Command it to get out of here. So you can get some rest. So you can get some rest. Because you got a big day ahead of you tomorrow. Listen to this. Don't pray about the problem. Talk to the problem. Because when you talk, you are putting faith in your words. Well, what are you talking about, Pastor? Go over to Mark 11 and 23. Holy Spirit in Proverbs 10 and 19 now. Go over to Mark 11. Y'all know the scripture, Bible scholars. Don't get me in front of this type, but it's right. Go over to Mark 11, 23. Go over to Mark 11, 23. Let's see what the words say. Huh? Listen to what it says. Mark 11, 23. It says, I tell you this. A person can say to this mountain, Move and throw yourself into the sea. Then it will happen like he says. He come to catch. But he must not let other ideals come into his mind. He must really believe that those things would happen. If he does believe it. Watch this. God will do those things for him. God is listening to you, brother and sister. But you got to believe that it does matter what you say out of your mouth. You got to believe it. You got to grab hold to your words. And command your words to go directly to the area that you sent your words to. And know that your words will not come back until you've bought. I shall do it, God. Your words will not come back, boy. You got to believe that. It does matter what you say. Yes. Woo. Now ease them back over there in Proverbs 10. Ease them back over there. Proverbs 10, 19 where we just left off from. I just want to give you something there. Hallelujah. My God, my God, my God. I hope it's all right here. Sometimes I get a little crazy every now and again. But it's a crazy good. Hallelujah. My brothers and sisters. Because when we talk, we're putting faith in our words. God is listening. He listens to every word that proceeds out of your mouth. And he's determining whether them words have faith to increase or whether they are wickedness to cause decrease. Mm hmm. It does matter what you say because God is listening. He's hearing you. If you never thought God is listening, please know now that he hear you. So change the way that you speak. Stop praying about things where you should be speaking to him. There's a scripture in the Bible. I'm paraphrasing the thing here now. Don't y'all look at Pastor Ron. That was Jesus. Peter and all the boys. Had a six on six. And they was hooping one day out in the neighborhood, they say. And they say after they finished the game. Paraphrasing the scripture. Y'all have fun with me now. Say when they finished the game, they went back over to Simon's house to get something to drink and get a little bit to eat. Paraphrasing the scripture. Now y'all Bible scholars, don't get so sensitive on me. And they say when they walked into the house. That Simon's in-law. That I'm going to write it wrong. Say that she was laying down. And say that she had a fever. And before Jesus could get him a sip, they were wearing whistles. Come on somebody. And say that he leaned over her. And say when he leaned over her. He didn't pray for her. But say he spoke to the fever. And the fever left. This is our command that we have to stop praying about some things that we have power over. That we have power to speak to. You got to know which weapon to use in the warfare that you're fighting in. And the problem that we're having. Too many of us don't know what weapon to use. So all we know how to use is just prayer. We'll know nothing else but prayer. We don't know how to speak to situations. Because some place that you go, you ain't got time to pray. You can't be driving down I-75 with your eyes closed praying. You better speak to whatever you need to speak to and keep it moving. Can y'all hear me Bible scholars? Give me some heart. Give me some thumbs up. Give me some something. Somebody call in and let me know what I'm talking about. Because God is listening. He hears what we are saying. And it matters to him how you speak. He wants you to speak increase. So that you may prosper. You may have prosperity in your life. That you may have the provision that you needed on a daily basis. That you may live the good life. That you may have meekness and temperance. A lot of us can't live by the Spirit because we're speaking a combination out of our mouth. A lot of us can't see what God is doing in our life because we're cursing ourselves. By the way that we talk. Our idle words. They have no power. I'm going to give you a scripture. Proverbs 15. Proverbs 15. Let me move forward. I got to go now. Excuse me. Proverbs 15. 28 and 29. Proverbs 15. 28 and 29. Excuse me. Proverbs 15. 28 and 29. Listen to this. A person that talks too much will not be able to change what they say because they are always pointing out something that is not of God. Let me say it again. A person that talks too much will not be able to change what they say because they are always pointing out something that is not of God. Psalm 35 and 36. My heart was hot within me. While I was musing the fire burn, then I spoke with my tongue. We're talking about musing. That means I was thanking or I was meditating. Now Proverbs 15. 28 and 29. It says righteous people thank carefully before they answer someone. But when wicked people speak, the result is only trouble. Verse 29 of Proverbs 15. Verse 29 of Proverbs 15. The Lord does not answer the prayers of the wicked people. But when righteous people pray, he listens. Yes. Oh, come on. You got to grab a hold to this. The Lord does not answer the prayers of wicked people. So if you are speaking idle words, you are wicked. And this is why God is not hearing you. But he is hearing those when the righteous people pray. Prayer is talking. It's not singing. So don't get them misconstrued. So when you are praying, you are talking. So what words are coming out of your mouth when you are praying? Are you praying amidst? Are you praying in vain? Or are you just only praying about your situation? Are you sluggish in your prayer? Like you are sluggish to show up for church? Or show up for Bible study? But to be on time for your job? And you expect God to, what, hear you? That's wickedness. Because we are putting everything before God. Everything. And he said, I am putting nothing before me because I am, what? A jealous God. Do we understand this, brothers and sisters? It does matter what we say. Yeah, I know, Pastor, I am just kidding around. Yeah, I understand that part. But the enemy used that against us. Be careful what you say. Because God is listening. I want it to lift off the page at you. I want you to hold them in your hand gently and firmly. Without letting them go. Without letting them go. A wise person does not talk too much. Anyone who keeps quiet shows that he understands things. Even a fool seems to be wise if he keeps quiet. If he keeps his mouth shut, people will think that he is clever. Yes. Hallelujah. My brothers and sisters, there is wisdom for the right thing to say in every situation. Hear me again. Hear me clearly. There is wisdom for the right thing to say in every situation. You don't have to answer just because someone said something to you. You do not have to answer just because someone said something to you. Okay, so you are going to say it a mouthful. You do not have to answer. You don't have to answer. But what if it pricks your flesh? You don't have to answer. You don't have to answer. You don't have to answer. You don't have to answer. My brothers and sisters, just because someone said something to you, the enemy will try to get you to answer between two wrong questions. Two wrong questions. The enemy will try to get you to answer between two wrong questions. Watch this. He will push you to answer to say time is almost up. Ooh, y'all missed that right there. He will push you to say time is almost up. What are you talking about, pastor? The best time to say something is when you heard from the Lord. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. Because when you get mad and the Lord is trying to speak to you, but now that you're mad, the only father that you're going to hear is the father of this earth. That's the literal G-O-D. Telling you to retaliate. Telling you to say something. Telling you to, uh, uh, don't let him disrespect you. Telling you, you're a grown person. You ain't got to put up with that. Telling you all these things when the Lord is saying, hush! Then this is mine. We're fighting battles that we have no business fighting. We're getting ourselves with high blood pressure, diabetes, and some old folks call it candy diabetes. I don't know why they call it that. We're with high blood pressure. We're with asthma. We're with heart attacks. We're with all these things. It's because we are answering people that we don't have no business talking back to. If you keep your mouth closed, you'll have less stress. You'll have less stress. Less anxiety. Come on, somebody. There'll be less pills than you got to pop. You don't need no pills to go to sleep according to Psalms. The Bible says, only you, Lord, cause me to lay down in peace and sleep. Medication is not to heal you. It's to sustain you. It's a trillion dollars a year business. Why you think they make 25 million for the same pill? They make 25 for the same pill. If the first pill wasn't good enough, you're going to make another one. That's evidence that it's not to heal you, it's to sustain you. Everybody gets paid but us. And the reason why is because we're speaking when we should not be speaking and we're causing ourselves to feel a certain way. How can we be a child of God and talking about we're depressed? Depressed from what? Depressed yourself from the situation. Depressed yourself from talking back to them fools. That's what you should be depressing yourself from. Those are your legs. Folks go to talking crazy, walk away. You ain't got to stand there. Step your leg. Get in the movement. Kick rocks. Stop allowing people to speak negatively. Stop allowing people to speak negative things into your spirit man. Because only you can put a smile on your face. Only you can make yourself happy. Only you can put a joy in your step. Only you can put a pep in your step. Only you. Can't nobody do that but you. Stop allowing people to dictate your life. If you're happy, be happy. Don't matter what's going on around you. What's the purpose of doing that? It doesn't make any sense to me and I know it doesn't make no dollars to you So why do we do it? If we gonna serve God let us serve God If we gonna play go play But don't get yourself in a situation where it's gonna cost you This walk is not a joke This is the real deal brother and sister What you did yesterday you can't change that You can't change what you said yesterday You can't change how you treated someone yesterday You can't change nothing But what you can change is what's happening right now Yes Matthew 12 34-36 The English Bible says You are like the children of dangerous snakes You cannot say good things when your thoughts are bad When you speak your words show what is in your mind It is like saying that you bring out of a room where you keep them The good man says good things because he keeps good thoughts in his mind The bad man says bad things because he keeps bad thoughts in his mind Verse 36 I tell you this One day God will judge everybody On that day He will ask you about every useless word that you have spoken Not the word that he spoken but every useless word that you spoken He is going to ask you about them In verse 37 God will think about the words that you have spoken Then he will decide whether to let you go free or to punish you Yes You can't change nothing Matthew 12 34-37 Verse 34 Brutal vipers How can you being evil speak good things for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things And an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things But I say to you that for every utter word men may speak they will give account of it in the day of judgment For by your words you will be justified And by your words you will be condemned Your words Your words You can't put it on Pukistan and Tamika They did something but they didn't cause you to speak I just told you earlier You don't have to respond just because you have spoken to My brother and sister God is listening And he's going to hold you accountable for everything that come out of your mouth not what Tamika, Stanley and Pukie did It's your mouth Listen We got to see the power of God in our lives that we speak things and it happens by changing the way we talk You can't have what you want because of unbelief So change the way you talk if you want the right thing to come out of your heart you got to have the right thing going in your ears We got to do something that works and helps It does matter what we say out of our mouth Idle Idle means inactive no work That means that Oh my God My God That means that our words must be working for the glory of God Yes And we say we love God and worship God and praise God but we speak idle words So you can't leave your work up to God when he told you to do the work That's it God is not responsible for what you're saying out of your mouth You are responsible God is not responsible of how you're treating people You are responsible It does matter It does matter what you say because God is listening Isaiah 55 when we're done Isaiah 55 Isaiah thing for which I sent it Which you sent it You have to send your word to the direct place that you have sent it You can't just open up your mouth and be done with it You got to direct your word to go straight to the target This is how you get results You got a decree and you got a demand Light must shine on it and it shall be established when you have faith in what you are saying and believe that
