It just seems…as I’ve found throughout that having awareness of the breath while being aware seems to deepen attention to whatever that primary object is. I think tonight, especially in this last sitting, there was a kind of a simple seeing of the aversion arising from an unpleasant sensation, right after it, in sort of a simple way, that I hadn't noticed before. That was due to the increase of concentration of constantly paying attention to the breathing. Larry: Yeah. When the two, when they're coordinated, has a very steadying effect. Sometimes very soothing, and can be very helpful, when you're examining unpleasant let's say, unpleasant mental states, fear, loneliness, anger, sorrow, physical pain. The breath can be a very soothing influence, in the whole process, and help you stay awake. It's not essential, to bring the breath in. That is, as you all know, you can practice Vipassana by just paying attention to the feelings, or whatever else it is. This is a method that can be of some help, in doing that, in helping you to do that. And for some people it is, in fact it's dramatic, and for others it isn't. End_time: 00:34:18
