down, it was cold as shit, it was like 34 degrees, we went, there was a four-hour ATV ride, snow and helmets, and then the kids went tubing, and did all their, in the snow, got snowy, there were some other local people that we know, from around here, that were up there, from some Staten Knights, some Staten Knights, I fucking hate that, I hate going somewhere far away, and see people you know, and see people you know, bro, that whole thing, right there, look, do you want them other headphones, yeah, so that's, that's usually the worst, like, pisses me off, I fucking traveled, you know, six hours away, and here I am, hanging out with these same people that I hung out with at home, yeah, same thing kind of happened when you were in San Antonio, didn't it, the kids were all about it, but we, I wasn't so much, with who, who did it happen with me in San Antonio with, one of your wife's friends, oh yeah, well, I mean, she lives in San Antonio, right, like, yeah, but that's someone you wouldn't expect to just randomly see, downtown, like, it's just, what the fuck, a lot of stuff just happened, thank you, thank you, lots of moving around, lots of moving around here, yeah, we're getting settled, yeah, Casey say hi yet, oh hold on, hold on, don't say hi yet, Casey say hi yet, and now, now you can say hi, I'm back, I'm back, round two, yeah, we got to make sure we can hear, beans, yes, lots of them, that's how you do it, that's how you do it, all right, Cinco de Mayo, I'll make up for it, yeah, Casey, what'd you do for St. Patty's, ate crawfish, I ate a shit load of crawfish this weekend, speaking of that, did y'all get a bunch of crawfish, so we went to the Broken Horn, had crawfish there, he knows the fucking owner, so they gave him a free pass deal, all the crawfish, so he was just going inside, oh man, you gotta correct it a little bit, there you go, yeah, he's got a fancy one, yeah, so then he got to go and grab all the crawfish and bring it back to the tables, because all we could eat, and then uh, on Saturday, went to uh, the Angry Armadillo with the dozers, and they were doing free crawfish, oh nice, so we stayed there for a few hours eating free crawfish, okay, so all that crawfish, and they tell me you still want to do a crawfish thing, so I don't ever get old, yeah, I love fucking crawfish, and not only that, we've seen the stuff they added in on this last one was, I'm gonna have to add some stuff to mine, so on top of that, like their seasonings weren't fucking fantastic, I like my crawfish to be nice and spicy, all theirs was real mild, I guess I know they're making it for the masses, so that's, I guess that's why I would do something like that, but I mean, we could do a crawfish bowl this weekend, I gotta practice before I do a uh, a mass boil, a big one, yeah, so like a bike night type of deal, I like to do, no, no, no, I like to do a, yeah, it does cost a bunch, I like to do once a year a cookout for my team, I usually barbecue or do something like that, and I was like, oh, you know what, I'll do a fucking crawfish bowl for you on this year, I do this away from the shop, I don't invite none of the AMO guys, like I don't do like, this is just me and my team, something I'm doing specifically for them, they can show up, they can drink, do whatever, right, like, and I gotta get one practice session in before I gotta go and cook for them, okay, kind of like going for your second time around, you gotta get that first practice session out of the way, yeah, me and Cody were talking about it yesterday, doing one this weekend, yeah, it's like a good time, yeah, it's the time of year, yeah, yeah, I gotta go get all my stuff from my sister's house, I got the 100 quart pot and all that bullshit, okay, so I got that big old tub that Dozier left here, I thought he picked it up, it's a tub, oh, the tub, yeah, the big fryer, yeah, he's got the big cooker, I got one of the cookers, yeah, yeah, hell yeah, yeah, so we'll see what's up, we'll see what happens this weekend, fair enough, right, I may or may not be here, I was gonna say, you're not gonna be here, right, you got kids, I gotta go get them, Haven has her, has prom this weekend, so I gotta go, are you gonna go beat up her kid, I mean, if it comes down to it, how old is he, I don't know, as long as he's like a junior, 16, I think they're the same age, if he's a junior, like, I think it'd be okay to punch him in the face, well, I mean, they gotta be, because it's junior's junior prom, so, oh, so there you go, that'd be, yeah, if he after the wreck, he's still pretty banged up at that, at the time, we're at this concert, I don't even remember who we were watching, there was this chick, she kept on jumping on his back, and I was like, bitch, get away, and just, right in the fucking forehead, okay, face palming, all right, the protector, yeah, yeah, I guess shit happens, I mean, I didn't walk away from that, you know, unharmed, because she did, like, scratch my face, she took my glasses off of my face, which at the time, when I wore glasses, they were very expensive to buy, and she threw them into the crowd, oh shit, it was fucked, because I had to drive home, yeah, I was not seeing shit, without glasses, without glasses, I trusted him to drive us home, at least I wasn't drinking and driving, that's always, you know, one, yeah, yeah, you shouldn't drink and drive, yeah, I never condoned it, no, I like to drink, then drive, so there's, there's totally a difference, yeah, okay, drinking and then driving, by, so, sometimes they get annoying, and you can turn them down, and they got noise canceling, all sorts of crazy bullshit, but just wearing them for that long time drives me crazy, so, I go in spurts, so, imagine, it's kind of like what having these headphones is on, like, wearing these headphones, yeah, but just a lot smaller, yep, and then, so, yeah, so, you get the annoying fit factor later on, but, yeah, other than that, I'm getting used to them, that's cool, so, you can hear a lot of shit now, yes, I can hear pretty well, when I have them on, like, almost a band thing, yeah, yeah, so, you no longer have the excuse of, oh, babe, I didn't hear you, he's like, no, bitch, I know you can hear me, so, the downfall of these ones I have, I can turn on music, okay, and I can, like, you can, I can turn it off, I figured out, finally, how to turn that off, but if I have my phone open, I can watch TikToks, videos, whatever, and it only plays into my hearing aid, that's cool, or I, but you turn that off, and then, it'll play normal, like, so, I can show people and do all that stuff, and that's usually how I keep it, because that's kind of weird, I don't like wearing headphones, I wear headphones all day at work, so, I don't even, do they bother you all day, well, they used to, so, I have my headphones that I wear all day, and then, I have some over the head ones, sometimes, I just put them on, and I'm not playing shit, I'm not listening to anything, and I'll hear people calling me, like, hey, Art, can you come over here, and just sitting there on my computer, and if they really need something, then they'll go and, like, grab it, right, okay, but I'll just, oh, my bad, I couldn't hear you, I had my headphones off, what were you listening to, music, maybe I don't want hearing aids, because I can just keep that excuse, well, you shouldn't have said that on here, we're cutting that out, there you go, there you go, yeah, I'm glad your hearing aids are fucking working out for you, right, like, it's always good, yeah, maybe now, I can hear you all the time, sometimes, I get yelled at for not hearing something, yeah, I can hear that fucking burning, one's not staying up, Jesus Christ, so, um, so, today was, uh, was day one, huh, oh, yeah, for the ketamine deal, yeah, my, my K-hole, your journey, I was all excited, yeah, um, I was just going to use the default playlist, and I go in, they take you to the dark room, you sit in this recliner, right, and it's real ambient, it's real cool, she comes in, hooks me up with the IV, hooks me up to a blood pressure cuff, okay, and then they put the thing on my finger, I don't know what that reads, but your heart rate, yeah, that guy, and a little bit important, she hooks that up, and then another lady comes in, she starts talking to me about what I want to do, and what I'm looking for in the journey, and, and how it's going to go, and, so, what were your answers on, uh, my biggest thing was, like, social, uh, being able to, to go out in the social environment, and interact without, because forever, I got away with it, my excuse was always, uh, you know, self-medicated, so I could, I could drink, especially drink, like whiskey, you know, I could drink, and that was easy to help social environments, until it went too far, your social anxiety, yeah, the social anxieties, um, still went too far, right, so that's what I'm trying to alleviate, the, the desire to, to drink, to take the edge off of things, I guess, and she said they see a lot of that, um, if I need anything comfortable, you know, take off my shoes, or they give me a blanket, yeah, the picture you said, you looked pretty cozy, yeah, I'm just chilling out there in a comforter, in a recliner, hanging out, and they had a Spotify deal, uh, with headphones that I could listen to, and I finally had to get up and grab it, so I could change it, um, but she came in and hooked me up to the little dose deal, um, and they started putting that in through my IV, and it took, I don't know, 10 minutes to hit, and I was just chilling, kind of listening to the forest, waterfall, like, it was a forest music at first, I let her put it on, right, you let her select, yeah, yeah, because they didn't want me to do anything crazy, yeah, like we talked about last week, like we talked about last week, no Metallica, nothing, nothing, no, no Slipknot, yeah, no Slipknot, so I was just, whatever, chilling, kind of got a little trip going, it was kind of cool, I was kind of floating on a 2x4, I could see the door, move around, but it wasn't nothing exotic, or crazy, like I thought it was going to be, so I said, fuck this, I got up and grabbed the, uh, the controller for the Spotify deal that she put on the table, I started fucking with that, so I started with, uh, some Whiskey Myers, then some Ryan Bingham, and then I was like, man, I'm tired of, like, messing with it and looking, and then that T-Pain album came, came to mind, so I finally figured out how to Google, search that, look that up, just started from play, yeah, and that thing, that made the trip a lot better, like, that is a badass album to listen to when you're tripping, like, you're going down through that K-hole, but other than that, I was just kind of chill, real comfortable, real relaxed, so once you kind of, I guess you, it's about an hour long kind of deal, they leave you in there for, like, 30 minutes or so, it's an hour, about 50 minutes, they check on you, uh, every 15 minutes, but they just open the door, they can see my vitals from what the door they open, so they just check, write it down, they don't mess with me, then after the, the thing's done, they let me trip for a little bit longer, come in, undo everything, they say 30 minutes rest, take a nap, you know, don't get up, you'll be nauseous, this and that, all right, cool, um, as soon as she, she got up or walked out, I kind of sat the chair up, it was sitting up, ready to go, and she come back in, what's up, sir, you know, we don't want you to get nauseous, you say, no, I'm fine, like, it's not too big a deal, yeah, oh, you didn't feel nothing, she's like, no, I mean, I did, but nothing too crazy, like, I'm fine, so we'll just chill out for a minute, rest, the other doctor will come in and we'll brief you, like, your post trip or your post journey kind of discussion, so, all right, cool, sit down, the lady, the other lady comes in and they had a nurse practitioner too, a helper, and they're just sitting there asking me questions, they're, oh, not much happened to you, you didn't feel anything, I said, well, a little bit, you know, I kind of floated around, whoop-dee-whoop, you know, nothing, nothing profound, yeah, nothing profound, she said, okay, well, I don't know, but y'all need to double me up next time, I don't know, maybe, as I told y'all, just double me up, I'll be good, yeah, um, she said, well, okay, you know, we'll see you next time, we'll see you Wednesday, so I go back in Wednesday, um, in a couple of days, yeah, yeah, I thought you were doing this like once a week, no, it's two sessions a week for like four weeks, but she said the next one, this will be the smallest dose I get, they just wanted to kind of give me a baseline, right, yeah, they don't know what you've done, so I tried to really scale it down so that they would definitely up at this next one, like, come on, give me something, yeah, give me something that's going to make me, like, I want to be with Waskily Wabbit down there, all sorts of shit, so will they up at every appointment, she said, so probably the fourth one, they'll find the threshold, are you going to push them past it, I'm going to try, I mean, if I'm going to do this journey, I'm going to push the limits of it, like, just like everything else I try to do, is there a way to get this on video, right, I could maybe set my phone, because they don't check on me a whole lot, so I could maybe turn my phone and set it in the corner, I just don't know if they would say something about it, I might ask, I don't know, Kayla had to come check me out and everything, like, they wouldn't let me leave, but I still drove from the parking lot, but she had to come sign for me, oh shit, yeah, but hopefully this next one's a little bit more intense, yeah, these comments are science, yeah, or I'm going to start doing my own additives pregame, you know, I might, because I didn't, I didn't smoke or take any of my medications or anything, so you did what you were supposed to do, yeah, I played by their rules, now it's my rules, now it's my turn, yeah, we're going to up this a little bit, I mean, it was pretty good, so I need to come up with a good playlist though, right, that last, probably a good hour, you know, with ups, you know, ups and downs, you know, some highs and lows, yeah, some crazy shit in there, I think that'd be kind of cool, because you can, with the music changing, I could kind of, you can kind of float, feel you're floating a little bit on my, my two by four, it was weird because my feet were the, like, how I was gauging where I was aiming, yeah, but my head wasn't moving, like, I was like looking straight down my feet, and I was just looking like that, but that, all right, I'm going that way, now, waiting for them, because I could see their shadows at the door, if they were going to come in, so I was constantly scanning for them, sounds like it was a good, a good first time, yeah, this next one though, I like the video idea, we might try that, yeah, just don't let you, you know, so I guess my, I didn't really prepare, I, I would have looked at side effects of doing this earlier today, and I didn't jot any of it down, so I did read on there though, like, if you do ketamine and alcohol, they're going to kill you, right, like, one of the, yeah, one of the big, big, that's why, which is why they were, yeah, they talked about being sober, like, it's, it's not a good combination to have, that's right, and she asked me, I said, well, you haven't been tapering down for a while now, and it's been, hell, several days since I've had any, hardly, but they had a glass of wine and rio dosa, looks good, it's gotten a lot easier, by a glass, I mean a bottle, but, right, I mean, I'm not here to judge, I just hope she doesn't hear this until after, I'm going to do a few infusions, but just don't tell her about it, oh, yeah, yeah, there's no podcast, there's no podcast, that means I need, because I was, ended up listening to that there at the very end, our, the last episode, right, our spotify deal, yeah, just because I was chilling, waiting for them to let me go up front and Kayla to check me out, I mean, said, I didn't come up with any kind of questions for this, I just read some of the side effects, I think the one thing I would want to ask is, how did you get started on this journey to want to do these treatments, and like, how would you tell someone to go get started, was this doctor recommended, was this something you fucking googled, was it, did, were you at, in court, and the judge was like, I need you to do this, like, no, so a lot of the guys that I listen to, and I guess kind of look up to in the military, you know, special forces or whatever, they, they talked about some of their psychedelic stuff, and they deal with some of the PTSD and the same shit that I deal with, so I said, okay, there's something to it, and I've taken mushrooms before, I've taken LSD, I've taken LSA, I've taken special, oh, you know, whatever, I'm taking a bunch of crazy ones, and so I was like, okay, there's something to this, but they're doing it legally under, like, a controlled environment, some of them are going down to South America, you know, doing ayahuasca, some of those other crazy psychedelics, DMT or DTM, whichever, whatever it is, and I'm, so I don't know how they're getting into those programs, and then this girl at work, our front desk chick, Z, we call her Z, she put a sticky on my desk, was telling me about a ketamine treatment in Midland, and I was like, okay, I looked it up, West Texas Ketamine, put in a little inquiry on their, on their, their webpage, and she called me, probably an hour later, the lady there, and asked some questions, I told her my diagnosis, PTSD, you know, alcohol disorder, bunch of other, whatever they put on there, she said, well, come on down, we'll do another meeting, set it up, so I met with her a couple weeks later, said, yeah, cool, we'll get you in in March, start ketamine, I said, all right, and they, so their big thing is, you got to have a focus, so like, what's your goals, you know, and I told them, well, there's a lot of things I really want to reduce, like, scale back on, so they kind of get that, and they're like, okay, you know, you've got the right intentions, which is key to them, like, mindset's got to be correct, and then they'll let you go through it, there's nine sessions, and then they adjust your dosage from there, based on history, and tolerance, and size, and weight, and all that stuff, yeah, because I imagine, if I went through a ketamine treatment, mine would probably be double yours, because, maybe, quite a bit bigger than you are, I thought my tolerance would equalize it, though, yeah, some people just, it depends, but weight does, weight metabolism helps, too, though, cool, so, I mean, if someone was interested in doing it, they'd probably, if they're here in West Texas, they'd have to get on that, yeah, West Texas, West Texas ketamine, yeah, but she takes notes and stuff, too, so you do, like, while you're in there, you can take notes, if you remember to jot something down, or something comes, keeps coming to mind, and it's kind of on you to notice, like, notice those things, right, take note of them, and what's, what's your higher powers, how she kept putting it, what's your higher powers trying to tell you, you know, and invite him in, like, make sure he's there, because you are going into some weird realms, so this is kind of like your walk to a maze, well, this is another walk to a maze, right, because I've made several, but, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is definitely one, it's close, it's to find your, another form of communication, yeah, a more, a more direct form, an inner peace, because there's, there's something there, too, there's something to it, I just don't know what it is yet, so I'm going to find it, cool, well, I guess people are
