June 7 Anniversary

Today, I would like to take a personal privilege and wish my wife, Judy, a happy anniversary. It was 49 years ago today we stood in front of a church with family and friends present with both our dads officiating the service. I was first attracted to her innocent beauty, but soon to love the strong person of faith she was and her desire to please our Lord. As I look back on those days, I realize we were but children, but it seemed as if we both knew the Lord had something special for us. Through the years we have gained and we have lost as we followed the Lord to places and churches we had no idea what was in store. Yet the Lord has been faithful and she has gone with the flow, saying, as long as the Lord is with us and we are together, it will be home. How did we get here? Only with the blessings of the Lord as we placed him first, as it takes three to make a marriage, God, the husband, and the wife, and knowing that every woman wants to be treated like a queen by a man who deserves to be treated like a king.
