The podcast host discusses post-COVID life and shares that their roommate recently contracted COVID. Despite being an introvert who stays home, the host's family members have all had COVID except for them. They attribute their luck to being careful. The host then talks about the mask policy, noting that it is no longer mandatory in most places but still required in hospitals. They share an embarrassing experience of not wearing a mask at the hospital. The host mentions that although COVID is still occurring, it is becoming more normalized and less severe. However, they emphasize the importance of protecting oneself by wearing masks and washing hands. The podcast concludes, and the host says goodbye. Hello everyone, I'm your host Tiffany and welcome to my podcast. Today I want to talk about post-COVID life because one of my roommates just got COVID for the first time. And it's super weird that I haven't got COVID because even though I'm a big introvert who likes to stay at home, but my mom and my brother and my grandma, they all got COVID before that I haven't got COVID, which is super lucky. I think it's because I'm very careful. So back to the topic, first I want to talk about the mask policy. So basically, you don't, it's not mandatory anymore and you can see a lot of people don't wear a mask whether in a campus or in a classroom, but it's still mandatory in the hospital because I thought it's not anymore and I went to the hospital without a mask. One nurse just gave me a free mask that you still need to wear a mask to go to the hospital. And I feel ashamed and I feel really sorry. And the other thing is there are still people getting COVID just like my roommate, but nowadays it's not a big deal anymore. It's just like a normal cold. We are starting to normalize it and it's not as horrible as it was before, but it's still important to protect ourselves like wearing a mask or wash our hands because nobody want to get sick, right? So that's the end of today's podcast and I will see you next time. Bye!
