Nothing to say, yet
Chris from Highway Christian Fellowship shares a recent car-related incident after his honeymoon. Despite feeling frustrated, he realizes that even in frustrating moments, God knows how to help. Someone from their church gave him and his wife a ride, and someone else lent them a vehicle. Chris reflects on how he initially responded in frustration, which he realizes is a form of fear. He encourages listeners to not give in to fear or frustration when things don't go as planned, but to slow down and ask God for guidance in responding well to the situation. Hey guys, it's Chris from Highway Christian Fellowship for Coffee with Chris. I don't have any coffee right now, but I have Chris, so we're gonna go for it. I just got back from my honeymoon. Very exciting. And you know, life has a way of throwing us some curveballs sometimes, right? I'm coming right back from the honeymoon, ending on Sunday there. And then Monday rolls around, and the Monday of Mondays I end up having a car-related incident. And it was frustrating. I was disappointed after coming from a nice time spent with my wife to just this car-related incident. I won't go into details. But here's the thing that I want to talk about is that even when those frustrating moments happen, God knows what he's going to do to pull you through. It wasn't, you know, very much longer than I had enough time to get frustrated about the situation before God brought someone from our church to help give me and Hannah a ride, and brought someone else along to lend us a vehicle. In the meantime, God is faithful, you know? And it's just another reminder for me. You know, I had come from a good morning, working on writing a message for when I meet with the youth, and writing a bit about fear, facing our fears and things like that. And then here, the enemy tried to orchestrate a situation where I could respond out of fear, or I could respond in trust to God. And I more so responded in frustration, and I guess that is a form of fear, right? Because we're frustrated because we fear that things won't go the way that we want them to, rather than submitting to whatever God's going to do. But the truth of the matter is, God had us covered. And so, my encouragement to you today is, when situations seem frustrating, when situations seem to not go the way that you're going, don't give in to fear or frustration. Slow down and ask God, Okay God, what have you got for me right now? What do you want me to do to respond to this situation well, because I know you have it under control. And that's my encouragement for you guys. God bless.
