The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

This is a morning devotion led by Pastor and Mrs. Bruce Smith. The theme is the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and played a key role in Jesus' success in ministry. Believers should not ignore the importance of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The Holy Spirit has a sevenfold ministry, including being a comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener, and standby. Believers are encouraged to cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit and rely on His guidance and support. The devotion ends with a prayer and a reminder to stay connected to Radio ACI for uplifting music. Tushar Chapter 1 verse 8 This book of the Lord shall not be passed out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Our theme for this morning's Glory Devotion is The Ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit. And our scripture reading will be taken from John Chapter 14 verse 16 to 18. John 14 verse 16 to 18. And I will be reading from the New Living Translation. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him because it isn't looking for Him and doesn't recognize Him. But you know Him because He lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans. I will come to you. This is the reading of the word. Thanks be to God. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is not a winged or dove, but a person. He was the secret behind Jesus' success in ministry. The Bible says in Acts Chapter 10 verse 38, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. For God was with Him. Amen. Beloved, if the Word made flesh, Jesus, needed the Holy Spirit to succeed in His early assignment, then of a necessity we cannot ignore His ministry in our lives. We must do whatever it takes to ensure that we have Him on our side. So important is His ministry in the life of the believer that Jesus promised to ask the Father to send Him to be with us and live in us. What are some of the things we can expect from the Holy Spirit when He comes to abide with and dwell in us? The Amplified Bible Classic Edition in John Chapter 14 verse 16 reveals to us the sevenfold ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. He is our comforter. We can trust in His comfort in difficult and challenging moments. He is our counselor. We can rest in His sound advice and guidance concerning every situation and decision we ought to make. He is our helper, a very present help in times of trouble. Psalm 46 verse 1 He is our intercessor. We can count on Him in the place of prayer. Romans Chapter 8 verse 26 He is our advocate. He speaks on our behalf and defends us. He is our strengthener. We can tap into His strength to accomplish every assignment given to us. He is our standby. We can always count on Him to step into our situation. Precious one, the Holy Spirit is willing to be all this and more for us. Let us maximize His presence and ministry in our lives, and we can be rest assured that like Jesus, we will succeed in our divine mandate. Go ahead and talk to Him. Invite Him to be your friend and cultivate a living relationship with Him. Amen. It's time to take our memory verse. And our memory verse for today shall be taken from John Chapter 14 verse 16. Reading from the New King James Version. John Chapter 14 verse 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper that He may abide with you forever. Amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Father, we thank You for this morning. Thank You for Your truth that has come to us. Thank You for exposing us to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. We pray, O God, that You help us cultivate a living relationship with Your blessed Holy Spirit as we walk with You, Holy Spirit.
