The speaker begins by thanking God for the gift of life and welcoming listeners to the prayer startup. The theme of the devotion is "Keeping Your Altar Ablaze." The speaker explains that an altar is a designated place of fellowship between man and the spiritual realm. Just as the priests in the Bible kept the fires on the altars burning, believers must also keep their communion with God burning and unending. This requires a commitment to reading and studying the Word, prayer, fasting, and worship. The speaker encourages listeners to stay connected to God and seek Him continually. The devotion ends with a prayer for grace to keep the fires on their personal altars burning. Music Shalom Precious One We thank God for the gift of life and the grace to look into his Word this morning. God bless you for being a part of the Just Ended Prayer Startup. This is Harvest Chapel International, Denyemi Kumasi, and facilitating today's episode of our Morning Glory Devotion is Pastor and Mrs. Degraftiria. Please let us share a word of prayer. Dear Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus that you instruct us in your Word and grant us the grace to receive this truth with all meekness and walk in them. In Jesus' name we have prayed. Amen. Amen. Please let us take our confession from Joshua Chapter 1 Verse 8. Joshua Chapter 1 Verse 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Amen. The theme for this morning's devotion is Keeping Your Altar Ablaze. Keeping Your Altar Ablaze. And our scripture reading will be from Leviticus Chapter 6 Verse 13 and 14. Please, I will be reading from the New International Version. The fire on the altar must be kept burning. It must not go out. Every morning, the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire, and burn the fat of the fellowship offering on it. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously. It must not go out. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Keeping Your Altar Ablaze. An altar is a designated place of fellowship between man and the spiritual realm. Therefore, the altar, as was mentioned in the opening scripture, was a designated place of fellowship between the people of Israel and God. Scripture clearly shows us that Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, and many others raised altars for God, a place where they could always fellowship with God as they journeyed with Him throughout their lives. God gave specific instructions to Moses to be given to Aaron and his sons to keep the fires on the altars at full blaze. This was a very important duty of the priests to which they gave their full attention. This symbolizes the fact that God always wants us to be connected to Him. He wants us to keep our communion with Him burning and unending. For the altar to be constantly at full blaze, the priests needed to always see to it that there was wood to fuel the fire and to keep it burning. Otherwise, the fire will burn out. In the same way, we also, as priests to the Lord, must make sure that there is always wood to keep our altars burning. This comprises an intentional commitment to stay in sweet fellowship with the Lord through the daily and consistent reading and study of the Word, an unrelenting lifestyle of prayer, a periodic routine of fasting, and many spontaneous moments of making sweet melodies in our hearts to the Lord. All of this can only take full effect when we are born again and living a surrendered life, a life that is truly yielded to the Lord. Dearly beloved, God wants the fires on our personal altars to be constantly set ablaze for Him. Therefore, let us be encouraged to give attention to and be very deliberate about stoking the fires on our altars. May the Lord help us to not relent in seeking Him and may He empower us to keep being on fire for Him. In Jesus' name, Amen. Our memory verse for today will be from Leviticus 6, verse 13 to be read from the NIV version. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously. It must not go out. Amen. Shall we say a word of prayer? Gracious Lord, we thank You for Your Word this morning. We pray for grace to be committed to keeping the fires on our altars burning for You always. In Jesus' mighty name, have we prayed with so much thanksgiving. Amen. God bless you so much for joining our morning glory devotion today.
