Hey, what's up everyone Kevin here bringing you my very first podcast called digital marketing you where I'm bringing you marketing tips and tricks to help grow your business This very first episode that I'm bringing to you is going to be about digital design applications or tools that you can leverage and that are free I Remember back in the day when I didn't have these kind of tools, and I was trying to create content And it was just super frustrating and but there were I mean I shouldn't say there weren't tools There were there weren't tools that were easily accessible because they were super expensive or there was some training that you needed to Have to be able to use the tools effectively, but now there's so many tools out there You can even design on your phone on a tablet on your computer You can be anywhere, and you can create content right? But you need to have the necessary tools or the proper tools to create the content that is going to be appealing This very first tool that I want to share with you, and you may have heard about it already. It's called canva It's free there are paid plans for it, but this tool if I had this tool back in the day When I was in school, or I was creating presentations On my very first job or whatnot it would have made things so much easier So much more professional looking so much more appealing and If you haven't tried this tool, I mean go in there sign up for an account if you don't like how it functions or whatnot Ditch it. It's free right like there is no investment there, but canva is such an awesome tool I still use it for quick simple designs when I'm on the go just get something created so that I can market either myself or the business or The event that I am trying to get word out on Canva calm go check it out now if you're looking for a little bit more advanced tools like Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop those cost money right and sometimes when you're starting a business or you're a student Or you know you're you just don't have the monetary means to pay for those professional tools There are tools like Inkscape Inkscape is a vector based tool that is similar to Illustrator that you can leverage to design vector based artwork for artwork for For production use I mean if you are If you are you know a designer and you're trying to get some a design out to a producer for example like You're trying to get vinyl stickers made or you're trying to get a t-shirt made and you send them a clip art of The design right or whatever it may be they're gonna be like hey, do you want us to turn this into a vector based? artwork because that's how the machines interpret The design and put it on the screen print or cut it out or whatever it may be right so that's where You know having This other tool that is free like Inkscape to use can get your shirt design can get your sticker design Can get your mugs and blah blah blah design out there without having to pay a designer to do it or pay the company that You're trying to have design your artwork for you an extra fee But if you can learn how to use these tools and become good at it you can save some money But if you already have design knowledge, and you just can't afford Adobe Illustrator at the time Inkscape is a great alternative to just Get you by until you're able to pay for Illustrator So that's tool number two tool number three is going to be something very similar To Photoshop where it does a little bit of photo cleanup a little bit of photo manipulation to get you just going right Adobe Photoshop is a Very very advanced tool has so many cool features in it to get things done To make your artwork look the way that they're supposed to you can slice and dice edit remove You know fade things in and out Clean things up like blemishes Gimp does some of that, but not not all of it, so if you're looking for a tool to manipulate digital artwork on A very advanced level you might need to just spend the money and get Adobe Photoshop because Adobe Photoshop is industry-leading Adobe Photoshop is industry standard, but if you're trying to do minimal Photo manipulation Try gimp out So those are three tools that I wanted to share with you that can help you get your business up and running and getting content out there right away so that you can start marketing and not have to burn a hole in your pocket or Break the bank or whatever cliche saying that you want to use this these tools will help you save some money And get you get your ideas out there and get your content out there to the world to Finally know who you are as a business as a person or make your presentations look a little bit more professional in either a job presentation or at school That was my five minute Tips and tricks here or tools that you can leverage on The digital side to get your business Up and running and growing we found this information useful.
