The speaker is starting season 2 of their podcast, focusing on the cups in Tarot. They explain that the cups represent emotions, love, and feelings. The first card they discuss is the ace of cups, which symbolizes new beginnings and can signify new love or a new way of loving oneself. They encourage listeners to trust their intuition when interpreting the cards and to listen to their body and feelings. The speaker also mentions reflection questions for the ace of cups and briefly discusses the reverse meaning of the card. They emphasize the importance of self-care and filling one's own cup before giving to others. Welcome back my friends. So it's been a minute and I have decided to start season 2 of the Magical Monday in Life podcast. So welcome to season 2. I had to go back through some of my old episodes and label them all one because I was a little bit you know just playing around having fun with just creating kind of whatever I wanted for that part for the first season and it felt really nice but for this second season I want to do an overview and just a learning experience on some of the cards in Tarot. Eventually like all of them but first for season 2 we are going to go over the cups in Tarot. So if you don't really know anything about Tarot and you want to learn about Tarot do a little Google search or look up some other podcasts on the basics of Tarot because I'm not really going to go into the history or all that other stuff about Tarot. I am just going to dive into the cups so I guess I can give a teeny tiny overview. There is 21 major Arcana and those are like the main themes in people's lives if you're pulling cards they're like the main theme but then the cups they are not the cups the minor Arcana there are four suits and in each suit there is ten cards and four like oh my gosh the word is leaving my brain four suit cards so there's a usually a page, a knight, a king, and a queen. We're going to start with a suit and the suit is cups so kind of a teeny tiny basic overview of what we're going to be doing. I am thinking for season 2 we're just going to be doing cups so yeah first off to start our season 2 minor Arcana cups edition we're going to be going over the ace of cups but to rewind it a little bit further what does the suit of cups mean? Well you can kind of think of the cups as you have you ever heard that saying is your glass half full or half empty? How are you investing in yourself? It's emotions, love, feelings, like I really love the cups. Cups is also associated in astrology to the water signs so Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces also hence like is your cup overflowing is another saying so you're overflowing with emotion you can think of it like that at least that's what I do. How do I feel? Some other questions that I may ask what is what is something making me feel a certain way? How do I feel in my body? Hopefully you get the gist. So the first card which I have already said I'm sorry in the cups is the ace of cups usually usually in every suit there is an ace like in every card I'm going to say they're like in every other in the other suit so the aces mean new so you can also be learning some basic astrology here or not astrology sorry numerology one it's the first card one means new beginnings and with the cups being emotions feelings you can associate the ace of cups with a new love whether that be an actual other person you're loving or a new way to love yourself and dependent on the other cards that you pull if you pull other cards with it it could mean a number of things that are new that involve feelings and love and so yeah relationships with everything tarot make sure that you are listening to your intuition into what the card is speaking to you about or what feelings do you get when you see the cards so I'm not really going to talk about one specific kind of deck because I like to work with many different decks and have just a general understanding of what each card means and then just practice using my intuition with what I feel like the cards are saying to me based off of their imagery and just like the little bit that I know about each card you can dive into what each card means and like the history but I just kind of the less that I know the the more that I can listen to my intuition you can do it however you like and go as far and as deep and as wide as you'd like but I really like to just look at the artwork and listen to what that's telling me and then go off of like questions that I might have and then journal those and just then feel into what I think that the cards are saying so it's really funny how I how I do tarot and journaling is based off of feeling into my body because that is something that I'm really really practicing getting into and listening to because for so long I did not listen to excuse me I did not listen to my body and so it's a great practice for me to get connected into my body and getting connected into my feelings and not so much thinking them through but feeling them through and working on less about creating a story and maybe creating a story with the cards instead and then always letting it go because holding on to anything too tightly is not advisable so reflection questions with the ace of cups what gift is being presented so what what new gift of love whatever love that is how is that being presented by the ace of cups and how can I hold space and create room for new love in my life how can I be more open with the relationships that I am in or going to be in how can I be more open and just be more loving to those people so with every card if it comes out and you feel compelled to read the card upside down or reversed you can also do that I don't always read reversals but if I feel like if I feel like it is necessary or I feel called to read it reverse you can I do that so the reverse meaning of the ace of cups can signify feeling empty or depleted and really needing some self-care it could also mean feeling disappointed in a relationship that did not work out ultimately when the ace of cups is reversed look within to nourish yourself emotionally instead of looking outward to how other people can nourish you because other people are never going to be able to completely hold that space for you because they just can't they can only give so much and we can learn to give to ourselves first and fill us up so that we can then give and be the givers to those that need because you cannot give from an empty cup wow that was a great pun so that is I believe the end of our ace of cups beginning of the the cups series of our tarot series so I hope you enjoyed it I hope you learned something and let me know and what you thought of this and yeah I'd love to hear from you have a absolutely wonderful day and I will chat soon
