The Worldwide Fund suggests that planting koala-friendly gum trees can help feed and provide habitat for koalas within two years. By preserving spare land and not destroying gum trees, Australia can improve the situation for koalas and other wildlife species. We're certainly not in a good corner on this one, there is good news though, the Worldwide Fund says that if we plant koala friendly gums, they're likely to be feeding these cuddly little beasts in less than two years. Gums grow extremely fast and can be homes for hundreds of wildlife species, including the dwindling population of koalas. If you have spare land, plant it out, don't knock them down, and that should help to take Australia out of that naughty corner.
