The hosts of DGEN's Fantasy Football and Sports Betting podcast, Pat Bradford and Andrew Wagner, discuss their friendship and the origins of their podcast. They aim to create a community for amateur and professional gamblers through fantasy football and sports wagering. They plan to provide year-round content and eventually have fan leagues. They introduce the eight players in their fantasy football league, sharing their backgrounds and favorite teams. The podcast will include updates on the league, game analysis, and strategies. They hope listeners will enjoy the show and encourage them to give it a try. Welcome, welcome, welcome to DGEN's podcast. My name is Pat Bradford. I'm here with Andrew Wagner and we are the host and creators of DGEN's Fantasy Football and Sports Betting. Yeah, we have been talking about doing this for a long time. We have known each other for even longer, like more than 15 years. The story of how we met is pretty awesome, so I'm going to give it to you guys. Pat was friends with a couple of people that I worked at with a restaurant in Ocean City. It's called Hulna Beach. One night after work, they invited me back to their house for a party. We ended up drinking and all that stuff like that. Pat ended up coming over. We were bullshitting and everything. Then one thing led to another. We went up and smoked weed and hookah on the roof. We were talking and music ended up coming up. Me and Pat are both big metal guys. We love heavy metal. That's both of our favorite kinds of music, no doubt. We just started naming bands because metal is real rangy. We started naming bands. We had basically the same exact taste. We were giving each other new bands to listen to, all that good stuff. It was a good time. The night ended, we exchanged information. He ended up texting me later and was like, stick to your guns. I was like, thanks man, you too. He was like, no, the band, you fucking loser. I've never laughed so hard to a text message in my entire life. Talk about a real fucking LOL. We've been really good friends for over 15 years now. We've been talking about doing this shit for a long time. Pat finally spearheaded it. He really got it off the ground this summer. We both were working on it, but he definitely took the reins and made this thing happen. We're really excited to bring this stuff to you. I think it's going to be a fun time. We've got something pretty unique to bring to you guys. I really think that Pat should dive in and give you guys a little explanation of what this is going to be and what you guys should be expecting. So my whole plan with this is that I wanted to provide a platform for amateur and professional gamblers alike by creating an inclusive community built on fantasy football and sports wagering. Moral of the story is I had an idea to create a fantasy football league and build a podcast around it. And I just wanted my friends to have something for us to connect through and be able to really enjoy a situation that only happens one time a year, just like Christmas. Yeah. I mean, realistically, we're one of those degenerates that are in way too many fantasy leagues. I think one guy in our league is in like eight, which is epic. I mean, every single person in our league is that way. I think only one person is just in our league. We're degenerates in that way, but we wanted to really showcase what fantasy sports is like through and through and add the entertainment platform to it. And then also, this isn't just fantasy stuff. This is sports betting stuff too. We are going to have content for you guys year round. We are avid sports bettors as well. It's a whole slew of stuff. He really mastered it and put it together. But I really think this is going to be something that people enjoy. We're going to eventually have fan leagues in the future. There's a whole bunch of cool stuff coming in the future, but it's really cool to get off the ground. But we really want to get in and kind of talk about who's going to be in the league and a little bit about each of the players. It's an eight-man league. But I mean, first, obviously, we have myself. Like I said, I do mortgages. I'm 31 years old. I'm from Ocean City, Maryland. And my favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers, baby. Go Pack Go. And I'm Pat Bradford. I am a bartender at one of the most recognized restaurant bar nightclubs on the Eastern Shore. And without giving it any justice, I think we all know that I'm talking about secrets. My favorite football team is the Washington Commanders. And I fucked up. But more on this one. Oh, fuck. All right. Well, I am 33 years old. I'm from Ocean City, Maryland. I've spent a couple years in Northern Virginia, but I tell everybody I'm from Ocean City. Ocean City. Yeah. And then, so one of the next players in the league is actually one of my brothers from another mother. And I'm actually not joking when I say that. My half-brother, Derrick Miller. Derrick is 36 years old. He is from Frederick, Maryland. He's a disabled veteran. He made sacrifices for our country. And he's also a part-time college student as well, getting his degree. And he's an Eagles fan, big Eagles fan. Most Eagles fans are big fans, but Derrick is one of the bigger ones for sure. Coming from my neck of the woods is Jamie Diaz Inlaw. This is one of my closest friends. He grew up with me in the DC area. So naturally, he is also a Commanders fan. He was born in Burlington, Vermont. He is 34 years old, and he now resides in Leesburg, Virginia, where he lives with his wife, running as the chef and owner of Off the Line Cooking, which is a growing catering food blog. Yeah. And then we got Colt Taylor. Colt is also from the Northern Virginia area. He's Upperville, Virginia. We're going to have to have a few talks because he's a Lions fan. I mean, he's had a rough life with that. I know that for sure. But Colt's also a farm manager. And he's one of those D-Gen fantasy boys too. I mean, this whole group is. It's such a great group. Coming in next, we have Colin Arrington. And get that correct, it does look like Kayleen Arrington, but it is Colin Arrington. His father thought it was pretty funny to name him Celtic. Colin is 34 and a half years old, as he made sure we knew that. He is from Cockeysville, Maryland, and he is a real estate broker. Somehow, growing up with his uncle, he was introduced to the Buffalo Bills. And to this day, he is one of the biggest diehard Bills fans that I know. So he is a big avid Bills Mafia fan. If you guys see him anytime in the future, just to take that kindly. He takes a lot of stuff very seriously when it comes to the Bills. Yeah, I'm definitely glad he's not in here because we are literally doing this on a folding table. And I'm pretty sure he was by his land through this damn thing. Next, we got William Rocky Stevenson. He's 35. He's from Lancaster, PA. He is an auto finance manager, also a fellow finance guy. And he's also an Eagles fan, big Eagles fan, big football guy. And last but finally not least, we have Andy Gabell. Andy is 33 years old. He's from Towson, Maryland, and he is an HR manager. So he honestly knows how to put up with bullshit. He's going to be a good piece to our puzzle. He's coming from Collins Neck of the Woods, and we're really looking forward to him creating a nice wildcard situation for us in our fantasy league. Yeah, so that's like the grade eight right there. That's the start. That's the base. The hateful eight. There you go. But yeah, I mean, that's the base. That's the guys. So realistically, the layout essentially is we're going to have this fantasy league tied very heavy to this podcast. We're going to be updating the scores of the league, the results. We're going to have content attached to it. We're going to be watching a lot of games together when we can. We're going to be getting together a lot, doing some live stuff, maybe some TikTok live stuff, and just having a good time and showcasing what this side of it is all about. It's going to be a really good time. We're really excited to bring it to you guys. But I mean, realistically, that's kind of the cap. I wanted to tell you guys what we were doing when we were doing it, which is now, because we're releasing it now. But, you know, I mean, what we're going to do is we're going to have weekly episode releases. We are going to get our episodes released by Wednesday at the absolute latest. That way you're ready for, I mean, Wednesday morning would be our full-time deadline. That way you're ready to do your waiver wire stuff and get ready for the Thursday game. We're going to be talking injury reports, strategies. I mean, you can't just look at that ESPN chart and that projected number and go by that. I mean, and we can try and be as professional, I guess, as you would say, but like, I mean, we all know that you can draft the best team in the world and end up being last place in your league. I know that's happened to me a couple times before, but it's just, it's a really good, really good way to show this side of it. And we think you guys will enjoy it and hope you give it a shot. Have a nice night, guys.
