George Savala introduces two features, Text Analyzer and Spell Check, to improve the appearance of reports. He demonstrates how to use Text Analyzer to identify and correct extra spaces between words. He then shows how Spell Check can find and fix misspelled words. To turn off Text Analyzer, the command is insert, space bar, and A. George concludes by encouraging viewers to use these features. Welcome to Accessibility Corner with George Savala. Hello, this is George with Accessibility Corner. And today I'm going to show you two features, which is Text Analyzer and Spell Check, to make that report look better when you're submitting it to school or work. And here we go. Okay, so here I have a work document open. I already have a sentence I typed prior. So let's go ahead and arrow up and hear that sentence. And this is using JAWS. This is a practice sentence to demonstrate the Text Analyzer on Spell Check feature. And I misspelled a word in there. I don't know if you caught that. I did that on purpose. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to show you how to use Text Analyzer because sometimes you put extra spaces in there between words, which I do occasionally, and you want to, you know, correct that. Now, for this demonstration, I put a space intentionally between the word to and demonstrate. To initiate Text Analyzer, which is a feature available in JAWS, and how to do this, you're going to do the JAWS command of insert space bar and the letter A like alpha. Space. The Text Analyzer will describe all inconsistencies. So you heard that. So that's telling you the Text Analyzer is on. So I'm going to arrow up to demonstrate what exactly I'm talking about. So I'm going to arrow up. Space run at column 31. This is a practice sentence to demonstrate the Text Analyzer on Spell Check feature. Now, you heard where it says space run at column 31. So that's the Text Analyzer telling you there's some spaces that are not supposed to be there. But you ask yourself, where is column 31? How am I going to find that? That's quite easy. Hit the home key. It goes to the front of the sentence. So I'm going to do the command, which is Windows Alt I, and that takes us exactly to the spot where the space run is at. So it's Windows Alt and I. Let's do that now. Space run at column 31. Okay, so let's put our focus on that error. Go to the left and right. Oh, space, space, space, space, space, D. Oh, there's several spaces. I'm going to go ahead and delete that. Okay, let's go ahead and check that. Space, oh, space, D. Okay, so I corrected that. So I'm going to arrow down and arrow back up to see what it says. This is a practice sentence to demonstrate the Text Analyzer on Spell Check feature. Now, did you notice that where it says space run at column 31 disappeared? That means that I deleted the spaces between the word to and demonstrate. Okay, so I'm going to go ahead and do a spell check, which is F7. So the spell check found where I spelled and incorrectly. So it gave me choices of the correct spelling, so I'm going to arrow down. And, and, D, similar to left bracket, no reference information, right bracket, split button, two or three. I'm going to arrow down. Land, L, and D, similar to terrestrial. So it's the top one, so I'm going to arrow back up once. And, and, D, similar to left bracket. I'm going to hit enter to select that word. Okay, so what it did, it corrected that error. So I'm going to go ahead and space or arrow up. This is a practice sentence to demonstrate the Text Analyzer and Spell Check feature. Oh, it corrected both the spaces that were put in the extra spaces and the misspelled word, which is N. So, again, spell check is F7. Text Analyzer is insert, space bar, and A, like an alpha. Now, to turn off Text Analyzer, it's the same way. To turn it off is insert, space bar, and A, like an alpha. So go ahead and do this if you hear what it says. Space. The Text Analyzer is off. You hear where it says the Text Analyzer is off. Well, I hope this helps, and we'll see you the next time.
