The speaker explains how to embed a link into a Word document and how to make a phone number clickable. They demonstrate the steps for both processes and highlight the importance of following specific formatting guidelines. The speaker also mentions that the techniques can be applied to mobile devices as well. Hello folks, today I'm going to show you two neat things you could do to make your document look more professional or even your email. I'm going to show you two things. The first one is how to embed a link into a Word. Have you ever seen where it says click here? You click on it and it opens up a website? I'm going to show you how to do that. And also how to call. What I mean by that is, have you ever seen where it says call or click here to call? I'm going to show you how to do that too. So I'm going to open up a Word document. That's the first thing you need to do. And so I'm going to go arrow up until we hear click here. Click here. Okay, you hear where it says click here? Selected. Click here. Okay, that's selected. Then you hit the application key. Application. And then you're going to arrow up to where it says link. Link split button. Okay, that's where it says link. Enter. One, address colon edit. Alt plus E, address colon edit combo. Okay, so that's where you put the website. So we're going to go back into the document and capture the website. Freedom scientific dot com. Link www.freedomscientific.com. Again, I select the link. And those who are cited, I'll just highlight it and they're going to cut it. So I'm going to do that now. And then I'm going to go back and put it into that little dialect box that pops up earlier. Remember when I said insert link? So go ahead and go back there. So I'm back here with the dialect box. I'm going to drop in the link just by going to control V letter Victor. Paste it from clipboard. HTTP colon slash slash www. Okay, just to verify, what I'd like to do is just tab. And it's going to show the word that's going to link to. Just go ahead and tab. Text to display colon edit combo. Click here. Okay, and once you heard that, I'm going to shift tab just to make sure the link is in there. Okay, just to verify. It doesn't hurt. Address colon edit combo. HTTP colon slash slash. Okay, now that you hear that it is in there, I'm going to go ahead and hit enter. So what that did, that put the link or the website within that particular word. So I'm going to go ahead and arrow up so we hear click here again. Okay, I'm going to arrow up. Again, I'm still in my Word document. Let's click here. Okay, now you hear it says click and it says link. So we're going to go ahead and highlight it and we're going to open up that link. Okay, now it's highlighted and I'm going to open it up. I'm going to get my application key and open it up. Open hyperlink O. Okay, there it says open hyperlink. I'm going to hit enter and see what happens. Okay, so now I'm going to go ahead and click on it. Okay, now it's highlighted. I'm going to go ahead and click on it. Okay, now it's highlighted. I'm going to get my application key and open it up. Open hyperlink O. Okay, there it says open hyperlink. I'm going to hit enter and see what happens. Untitled dash personal dash Microsoft. Freedom scientific dash high dash quality with same page visited link graphic freedom scientific. Call today. See how it did that? That's pretty neat. So you put the link into the word which is not that hard. So we're going to go and show you how to do the same thing for a phone number. Okay, we're going to go back to our document and we're going to do the same thing but this time it's going to be with a phone number. Okay, here we go. Call today. Call. Okay, you heard that. So I'm back in my document. You heard call. It's the same scenario. Okay, now it's highlighted again. Hit the application key and go up to where it says links. Application. Link split button. Okay, there we are. I'm going to hit enter. Enter. Address colon edit alt plus e address colon edit combo. Okay, we're at the same dialog box. So we're going to go back and we're going to capture the phone number. Here we go. Link tell colon 800936. Okay, so here we're back at the document. I just wanted to highlight the number. But I'm going to show you when you're in the document. So I'm going to go back and I'm going to go to the document. I'm going to go to the document and I'm going to highlight the phone number. Here we go. Link tell colon 800936. Okay, so here we're back at the document. I just wanted to highlight the number. But I'm going to show you what you need to do to make it linkable for where it says call. So I'm going to go to the beginning of this line to show you what I mean. T. Tango. E. E. L. L. Okay, this is Tango. Echo Lima. And then you have to put a colon. Colon. And then the phone number, don't put any spaces, any hash marks or nothing. No dashes or nothing. Put the number straight out. So what I did here, I put the number for the prison scientific, oh no, for the Microsoft accessibility. Okay, which is? 800. 800. 936. 936. 5900. Okay, so we're going to highlight this number and then we're going to put it back into that dial up box that popped up earlier. Okay, I highlighted it. I'm going to cut it. Okay, now we're going to go back to the dial up box. Okay, here we go. Okay, so I'm here back at the dial up box. I'm going to go ahead and paste that phone number. This is control V, F, and Victor. Paste it from clipboard. L, colon, 800, 936, 5900. So you heard the number that's in there. So we're going to hit enter to go ahead and link them together. Okay, here we go. Enter. Edit. Now we're going to go back to the document and just hear it. Link call. Okay, there you go. It says linked call. So I'm going to do it even better. I'm going to show you how it works if you're on your iPhone or another device, mobile device. Okay, here we go. Okay, folks, we're at the end of this video. I hope you enjoyed it.
