Tyler and Chong are the defense captains. They have upcoming tournaments and encourage new players to join. The podcast thanks the sponsors and ends with a farewell. Welcome to Team Crusader's podcast and today I'm your host Tony Vang and today we'll be talking about who we are and what we are and where we came from so much. And also thank you to our sponsors Little Tokyo, The Japanese Cuisine, Sushi Bar and also another sponsor of Bubba A. Lynn Davis. So you guys thank you for listening for today and what is Team Crusader's who are we? Team Crusader was originally formed by Forbidden Soldiers. For what I've been told. Besides that, our coach is coach Aaron Vang from Minnesota. Yes, he is a Vikings fan. He does not like Green Bay Packers at all. And that's okay. That's cool. Anyway, so what is Team Crusader's? We were formed by, you know, a small team. And for what I've been told multiple times and from the team themselves that we weren't a team. We're to go high or the expectations for us was not supposed to be great. And when Crusaders got third place in July 4th, I believe they split it between Blue Dragons too. Yeah, it was Blue Dragons and Crusaders playing for third and they decided to split that third place for both. And I think it was or was either in Sheboygan. We also go back in third place again. But in Wausau and Sheboygan, we did lose to Game Over twice, which sucks. So to get to the main roster guys or the main captains for our team is our quarterback Tomei. Tomei is our main quarterback for what I've known so far. And the other guy behind him is Anthony Espa who is an amazing guy too. Both Tomei and Anthony are very motivated for the rest of the team. They want us to be better. They want us to improve. And they really want us to really get knowing the plays so then they don't get frustrated with the players or the runs. The only thing that I know from the difference from them both is just that, you know, one of them gets frustrated, which is Anthony. And that's okay. You know, everyone gets frustrated in the team. But you know, it's really up to everyone to communicate, you know, and calm everyone down and make sure that we are all on the same page. Not just that, also Anthony does play a runnerback too. So he's either one, he's the quarterback or number two, he's playing the runnerback. And behind the running back of Anthony, it is Isaiah. Isaiah is another guy that I talked to very well. He's a really nice guy. Short guy, but he's really, really amazing as a person. And he's always ready to communicate, ready to tell you what to do, and ready to motivate you, you know. And having him there as another guy to help out in the office for running back behind Anthony. Amazing job, bro. Good job, man. For receivers, we do have Elijah Pop. Pops is a pop. And then we have Mon Lord, Robbie. We also have Jerry Kong, for what I'm reading. We also have some of the guys like Troy. Who else do we have for offense? Yeah, that's all I know. But that's okay. I do have the roster names, but I don't have the roster position. Their position of what they're playing. So that's okay. So like I said, I will get to more when I study this more. For Elijah, it's an amazing guy. He's the guy that really is very, he's like an old-up Beckham to me. So he has the explosiveness, the motivation to really get better for himself. He's a selfless player. He loves to communicate with the team. He loves to make sure that everyone's doing their job and make sure everyone is running the same route that they are doing. Besides that, Elijah, man, you are a beast, bro. You are beast mode. Mon Lord is an older guy. I think he's in his 30s. He's still working out, rocking those kind of OG slick haircut. Still drinks here and there, but that's okay. Everyone does that. Robbie's another guy that I've been watching too. He's been working out, getting stronger every day. For the last season, I know that he was smaller before and he has speed, but now he's more thicker on the legs. Upper body could be more, but besides that, man, he's getting stronger every day to get ready to come back and help his team the best that he can. Up next is the position of tight ends. For tight ends, I think it's up for grabs. I know that Troy kind of plays tight ends sometimes, most likely, but sometimes online too if he can stay back in the office online. But I think for tight ends, it's up for grabs right now. Usually, I do see sometimes Isaiah playing. I could see myself playing too. I could, but it depends on what you guys want me to do. But I know you guys are telling me, you can do whatever you want to do. We're not going to tell you to play this position or that position. But as of right now, I just want to focus on defense just for myself, just knowing the defense, what to do. In the offense, maybe during the time where I could be on offense, I will try to be on offense too. Trying to balance both of those out. Besides that, we're going to move on to defense. Our defense captain, most likely, is Tyler Katathon? Katathon? Hey man, I'm sorry if I pronounced your last name wrong, but correct me if I'm wrong. Chong is another guy on defense who's a captain on defense. Amazing guy. Both of these players, man, they are veterans pretty much, and they are willing to help you and make sure you understand. They are very patient with you. During practice, when I was on last Saturday, I saw the ball coming at me. I think one of the other guys caught the ball on the offense. Then Tyler told me, hey, be aggressive. Attack the ball. Because if you're just waiting for the ball to come to you, you're not going to get the ball. The receiver is going to get the ball before you do. So when you see it coming, attack it. Go for it. Don't watch it come to you. In that situation, I'm pretty sure in any kind of situation like that, you're just going to have to be aggressive. There are times where, yes, the ball will come to you easily, unless the ball is tipped or whatever the case may be. But if the ball is being thrown at you at full speed, attack it. Because you're making a play on defense. So thank you, Tyler, for that, for giving me advice on defense. Chong, too. Chong is amazing, too. Another guy is Dao, for sure. Dao is another guy that I love to communicate with, too, also. Not just that. Also, Keegan. Keegan is another guy that I really love talking to. I know him and I aren't like friends-friends, but we're all friends on Facebook. We just haven't had that kind of bondage yet. I'm pretty sure when we get on the field or practice a lot more together, I'm pretty sure you and I will be great friends, bro. For sure. Yeah, so those are the guys that I have so far on who I know and the main people that make plays, a lot of plays. For watching the clips and films of LASA, July 4th, and Sheboygan, I will not get to those yet. I will get to those in the next episode of this and kind of give my perspective of what I see. Because I wasn't there for this game. Sheboygan, I was. For July 4th, I wasn't in the team yet. I was just a guy. I was in Minnesota, too, but I didn't join the team until Sheboygan. So that's okay. That's fine. Everyone has their time getting into the team. Also, for the rest of the guys in the team, if I didn't mention your name, don't feel left out. I'm just naming the guys I know that are making plays. Don't feel like, oh, you're not good enough. You are good enough. You are great. Just come to practice and show up and show that to our team, to coach, to our captains that you are ready to play. And also, don't forget, for the new guys, we do have a tournament on next month, on the 27th and the 24th Memorial Day Tournament. After that, we do have Eau Claire on the next month, on the 17th. After that, we do have July 4th, Sheboygan, WASA, and Labor Day. But those tournaments will come later for sure. We'll be ready for that. But as of now, we're just going to have to focus on Memorial Day and bring a trophy back home. I know that some people are rusty and some people don't really want to get back into it. That's fine. But that's why we have the new guys coming in and get ready. I know that a person like Pond, I know Pond has been very busy lately and that's okay. But to give him back his shape again, I know he's an amazing veteran player. When he's on the field, I can see that he knows what to do. He knows the plays, the options, and everything. So everyone else on the bench team right now, don't feel discouraged. Work your way up, show up, and work hard. And again, I want to thank you to our sponsors, Little Tokyo, Japanese Cuisine Sushi Bar, and also Bubble Bay in Green Bay, Wisconsin. So if you guys have not tried out these, please try it out. It's amazing. And I promise you, you will not be disappointed. So again, thank you for tuning in to Team Crusader's podcast. Until next time, I'll see you on the next episode.
