Of gold So, only God knows the composition of the crown of righteousness With our affections on things above, I speak to your life and to my life We will not miss it, in the name of Jesus So, let us take this instruction from Colossians chapter 10 verse 1 to 2 That we should set our affections, where? Above This is a critical time for the Christian body, for the body of Christ A critical time, a lot of things are happening But the ultimate is heaven, because our citizenship is in heaven So, in our previous, we have told you all that the crown of righteousness is a reward for an overcomer of faith in Christ One, we must not look back, there are things that will make us to look back By that we will be discussing the crown of life, we will be talking about this Number two, we told you all that the crown of righteousness is a medal for a successful athlete for Christ in the race of Christian faith The crown of righteousness is meant for those who pay the price for the prize Those who run to the end of the race, where? They run where and they finish strong I speak to your life as I speak to my life, you are going to finish where? You are going to finish strong You will not look back, in the name of Jesus And I know last week we talked about the thought being that the crown of righteousness is a reward for a successful manager Good and faithful steward for Christ and his faith Let me tell us, as I emphasized last week, for the purpose of evidence and for you to take note That as a Christian, you are a steward of God's business And we read to us, Luke chapter 1 chapter 19, if you look at chapter verse 12 to 13 It says, occupied like all, do business like all, must continue faithfully, committedly as a steward You are in trust, a trust of God's resources, we are not not Please let us take note of that, and then I ended up telling us two pieces of advice I said there are two pieces of advice that you must take note of, if you want to be a faithful steward And I can remember I already discussed one with you I told us that as a faithful steward of a manager of God's resources Don't allow your personal schedule of activities or programs to determine your schedule for the work of God Don't allow your activities to determine your schedule for the work of God Rather, allow the work of God to determine your personal schedule of activities or programs Let me say this, some of us are in the Bible study today because you obey this There are a lot of things that will not make you to come for Bible study And a lot of people want to come, but the error they are committing is that they are not faithful That will determine whether they have been in the house of God or not Some of us, it is our job that will determine whether we do the work of God It ought not to be, it ought not to be And that piece of advice, you must take it in your life, if you want to be a faithful and a good steward Of Christ, waiting for the crown of righteousness I know I stopped there last week Let me now give you all the second advice That will make us to be a faithful steward, young or not, of God's resources That will make you to be worthy of crown of righteousness I will let us know one or two things thereafter The crown of righteousness is not for certain categories of people And that is why I am giving you this piece of advice that I want to give us Don't allow your life challenges to determine your service for the work of God Don't allow your challenges of life to determine your schedule for the work of God or for the service he wants Rather, it should be the other way round Let me just tell us, you can never be committed to the service of God If you allow your challenges to determine your schedule for the work of God as a steward Desiring to receive the crown of righteousness Because there will never be a time when you are not going to have challenges So the challenges you are passing through must not determine your commitment, your effectiveness, your faithfulness You may not have money, maybe you have some commitments Your commitment of your service to God should not be dictated by that challenge I don't want to go to some practical examples I will just go to the scripture to substantiate that point for us But let me tell us one or two things before I give us, we discuss one scripture before we go at this hour I want you to know this, number one One of the ways that will cause us to have prolonging Is when we allow our challenges to dictate our schedules, our commitment, our faithfulness as a steward of God Please take note of that In the Christendom, one of those things that will prolong our ministry Take note, our ministry Is to allow our challenges We are using that to determine your effectiveness as a steward, your faithfulness as a steward You are only prolonging your ministry And that is what is happening among us Christians Because this key we are releasing to us, many of us we don't know it And we complain, oh I have been praying, I have done marathon, I have this thing But this problem is there But God will just be looking at you He will be looking at you It is said with us in Jesus name So you must take the choice that will make your ministry Number two It is also shorting the mercy of God over our life When we allow our challenge Which actually requires the mercy of God To overwhelm us And it now devours us To be a committed steward Desiring for the crown of righteousness May I tell us It will be shorting the mercy of God in our life And that is the problem that we are having That oh, because of these challenges God will have been able to show mercy to us on time But because we are not doing what he wants us to do So you must take the choice that will make your mercy to be prolonged And shorting the mystery Just by allowing your work Your work for God, your commitment to God, your service to God As a faithful steward To override those challenges You must, even though the challenges are there But do not allow it to affect you May I tell you, may I say that is speaking to you Am I challenge free?
