2 Chron 13. Trumpet The War Cry

00:00-01:08:23

This is the first of three lessons from 2 Chron 13. In the Old Testament, the trumpet has many different uses. We look at 5 of them. Then we begin to look at the trumpet used as a call to war Next we talk about the War Cry which is found in Joshua 1 This recording ends with a very powerful breakout in prayer. Very uplifting.

The speaker begins by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to open the word and fellowship with others. They then share their experience of feeling a spirit of revelation while reading a certain scripture from 2 Chronicles chapter 13. They discuss the battle between Abijah and Jeroboam, noting that Abijah relied on the Lord while Jeroboam worshipped false gods. Abijah made it clear that God was with them and warned Jeroboam not to fight against the Lord. Despite being outnumbered, Judah cried out to the Lord and the priests blew trumpets, resulting in their victory. The passage concludes with Abijah's reign and his descendants. The speaker emphasizes the significance of blowing trumpets in worship and during important occasions, such as the coronation of a king. They also mention 1 Thessalonians 4:16, which references the sounding of trumpets during the descent of the Lord. Father, we're grateful for this time, we're grateful, Lord, for the opportunity again on this Friday to open your word and to fellowship together with African brothers and those from different places. We thank you for it, Lord. So, God, as we set our hearts to seek you and to follow you tonight, God, we ask you for that inspiration and revelation of your Holy Spirit to flow out to us. Lord, you be our teacher, as you've given your word so faithfully to us, we just cry out for it. In the name of Jesus, amen. Hallelujah. I was very struck earlier in the week by a certain scripture, and as I read it, I could feel, I don't know if this has happened to you, but I could feel the spirit of revelation coming to pay attention, like, wow, there's something here that I need to pay attention. And so this happens to me, and this is one way that the Lord will lead what he wants to speak to us. And that's from 2 Chronicles, chapter 13. David, if you feel like reading, then your network seems good tonight, you can read. 2 Chronicles, chapter 13. Yes, from the first verse to the 20th verse, it will give us the whole story. Okay. From verse 1, now in the 18th year of King Jeroboam, began Abijah to reign over Judah. He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Micah, the daughter of Uriel, of Jeboah. And there was a war between Abijah and Jeroboam. And Abijah set the battle in Arreah with an army of violent men of war, even 400,000 chosen men. Jeroboam also set the battle in Arreah against him with 800,000 chosen men, being mighty men of valor. Verse 4, And Abijah stood up upon Mount Zemeria, which is in the Mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel, ought you not to know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, even to him and all his sons by the covenant of Saul. Yet, Jeroboam, son of Naboth, the servant of Solomon, the son of David, is risen up and had rebelled against his Lord. And there gathered unto him vain men, the children of Bilah, and had strengthened themselves against Jeroboam, the son of Solomon, when Jeroboam was young and tender-hearted, and could not withstand them. And now, ye think to withstand the kingdom of the Lord in the hand of the sons of David, and ye be a great multitude. And there with you a golden calf, which Jeroboam made you for God's. Verse 9, Had ye not cast out the priests of the law, the sons of Aaron and Levi, and had made you the priests after the manner of the nation of other lands, so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same made a priest of them that are no gods. Verse 10, But as for us, the Lord our God, and we have not forsaken him, and the priests which ministered unto the Lord are the sons of Aaron and the Levites, which upon their businesses. Verse 11, They burnt unto the Lord every morning, and every evening burnt sacrifices, and sweet incense. The sure bread also set thee in order upon the pure table, and the candlestick of gold with the lamp thereof, to burn every evening. For we keep the charge of the Lord our God, that ye have forsaken him. And behold, God himself is with us, for all, for our captains and his priests, with standing trumpet to cry, to cry alarm against you, O children of Israel, fight ye not against the Lord God of your father, for you shall not prosper. Verse 13, But Jehoroboam caused an ambush to come about behind them, so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them, and Judah looked back, and behold, the battle was before and behind, and they cried unto the Lord, and the priests sounded the trumpet. Then the men of Judah gave a shout. As the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass that God smote Jehoroboam and all the Israel before Abijah and Judah, and the children of Israel fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hands. And Abijah and his sons slayed them with a great slaughter, so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed. Because they rely upon the Lord God of their fathers, and Abijah pursued after Jehoroboam and took cities from him, Bethel with the town thereof, Chesna with the town thereof, Ephraim with the town thereof, neither did Jehoroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah, and the Lord struck him, and he died. And Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters, but twenty-two were the last of us. The rest of the acts of Abijah and his way and his sayings are written in the story of the prophet Edo. Amen. Amen. Thank you for reading. They were outnumbered two to one, but I noticed that the gods that were with Jehoroboam were not, I'm sorry, Jehoroboam, were not gods of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They were gods very similar to what Aaron had raised up in the wilderness when Moses went up into the mountain. It was golden calf, wasn't it? So this must be common in the area. Do you notice something? I have noticed in several of these accounts that these wars that they had were very spiritual in nature, that one army would call upon their gods. I mean, how many places can you think of in Scripture, Old Testament, where the armies would call upon their evil gods, and they sincerely trusted in the strength of Satan and the evil demonic gods that they served, and they would call upon them, and those demons would give them power and authority over nations. But they didn't realize they had come up against the Lord God Almighty, the Lord God Almighty. And Abijah was very wise, and he made it very clear. He says, you are fighting, again, if you want to look at verse 12, now behold, God is fighting with us, and with our leaders, amen. Brother David, you have a strong noise coming on your end, as someone is doing something with metal. Okay. I'm sorry about that. Okay. No, that's fine. Just so you know. Just mute yourself until they are going to speak, and that will help. You just have to remember to unmute. Hallelujah. Listen to this. Amen. Verse 12. Behold, God is with us, and at our head, it says, with our leaders. All of our leaders are godly. And what does he say? And our priests, all sons of Israel, don't fight against the Lord, the God of your fathers, but for you will not succeed. In other words, for God is with us, and your gods are of no power. So Jeroboam, being wise, remember we were talking about the four kinds of wisdom, and one wisdom is demonic wisdom, and earthly wisdom. So Jeroboam used this ungodly wisdom, and he did not fight fair. He set ambush behind, and army in front. He divided in half, and there was half behind, and half in front. And really, Israel was in a serious place. And so when they saw that they were attacked on and rear, what did they do? They cried unto the Lord, they raised their voices, and cried unto the Lord, and what else? The priests blew their trumpets. They were probably ram's horns. So when priests blow trumpets, what does it mean? What is the significance, Bertha? Can you remember different occasions when they would blow trumpets? What was the purpose of blowing trumpets? Mr. Bertha, are you there? Yes, I'm here. Yeah, you know. Yeah, I'm trying to remember. Okay. Do you remember, what is it? Second Chronicles, chapter 20. David, do you remember this one, I'm sure? Second Chronicles, chapter 20, when they're confronted with so many, and the Lord instructed them to put the singers and the worshippers in front, and they did, and the Lord said, the Lord instructed them to put the singers and the worshippers in front with their trumpets, and they were to worship. They were to sing and glorify God, and that God said to them, oh, Jehoshaphat, we will not fight this war, we will not fight, for the Lord will fight for you, and so what did they do? They put the trumpeters, the priests, and the worshippers, and the singers in front. Another occasion when they use trumpets. You know, David? When else do they use trumpets? I don't remember. Okay. So, we'll learn something tonight. It's good. It's fine. So, we'll be learning something. Okay, King Solomon, when he was crowned king. Let's read 1 Kings, chapter 1. 1 Kings, in the first chapter, and we'll read verse 39 and 40. First Kings, chapter 1, 38 to 40. So, Zodiac, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Bilhah, the son of Duada, and Cherubim. Sorry for all the names. It's hard, right? You can say it like this. All these men went down and had Solomon ride on King David's mule. It's okay, and then go from there. In verse 38, just read the second half after all the names. All these people went down and had Solomon ride on King David's mule, and they brought him to Bihon, which is the spring of Bihon. And go ahead from 39. Okay, verse 69, and Zodiac, the priest, took a horn of oil out of the tabernacle and anointed Solomon, and they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, God save King Solomon. That's 40. And all the people came up after him, and the people fight with the fight, and rejoiced with joy, so that the earth rent with the sounds of them. So now, in verse 41, when Adonijah and all the guests who were with him, they were trying to elect him king, but he was not the chosen one. And as they finished eating, when Joab heard the sound of a trumpet, he said, why is this city making such an uproar? And then they told him that they are dedicating Solomon to be the next king, because he's the one chosen by the Lord. King David made Solomon king. So here's another instance when a trumpet is sounded. When they coronate a king. It's very interesting. If you want to know a fun secret, let's just for fun read 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 16. Go ahead, David, if you have it. Verse 16, for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of angels, and with the trumpets of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. When Jesus comes to be king of kings and Lord of lords in this earth, what is going to happen? There'll be a trumpet sounding, the trumpet of Jehovah, the trumpet of Yahweh, and the dead in Christ will rise first. I'm telling you this, this trumpet is an interesting subject, because you see the trumpet of the Lord being sounded in different times in the Word of God. And one of them is when they would coronate a king or crown a king. So another time a trumpet will be sounded, and that's the subject of us for tonight. It's the sound of war, the sound of war. And when these priests, in 2 Chronicles, when these priests began to blow their trumpets and the men were crying out to the Lord, there rose the Spirit of God. Hallelujah. There rose anybody here tonight in a place where you're surrounded on the front and you're surrounded behind, and the enemy is threatening to destroy you. Begin to sound the trumpet. Begin to celebrate. Oh, Jesus, help me. Begin to celebrate the king of kings, because he's already won the battle, and God is with us. Oh, when we begin to sound that praise, we begin to sound that sound of calling upon the Lord, the enemy is defeated. And God sends a defeat against them, even though we're outnumbered. We're surrounded, and we are ridiculed. The enemy has no chance, because we've already been defeated, and God is the king of all kings. So thank God for that. So here was the war cry in verse 15, 2 Chronicles, chapter 13 and verse 15. So here's another time when a trumpet is sounded to call people to war, to assemble people for war. Hallelujah. There is a sound in the spirit that when the people of God, they're not just petitioning. They're not just crying because of their need. There is a sound of a call to war, and we're calling upon the angels of heaven. We're calling upon our Father to respond in a time when we are surrounded, we're outnumbered, we're ridiculed, and we are at a disadvantage. The Lord God raises up his spirit within us with the sound of groaning, the sound of crying, and then the sound of victory. So, oh no, I got ahead of myself. Another time that you will hear the trumpet in the Old Testament is when they win a victory. Ah, okay. So when they crown a king, right, when they sound a sound to war, amen, and when they sound the sound of victory. So there's three already. Amen. The other time that they'll use the trumpet is simply to call and assembly. Just call everybody together. Have a solemn assembly and an important announcement to make. The word of God is about to come. Let us sound the trumpet. Hallelujah. I don't think we need to sound the trumpet, but there's something in our spirits that begins to blast out toward God, saying, God, move by your spirit. We're not held down in silence. We're able to shout from our very spirit like a trumpet. Oh, I love verse 15. It says, and when the men of Judah raised the war cry. When they did that, then what happened? Then God. Then God. So when and then. So one comes first and then the other. So people of God hear the word of the Lord. When we sound that trumpet, a sound of calling unto God, a sound that war has begun, you know the enemy will continue to just mess with us and push us and do what he does. But there comes a day when the people of God open up their spirit and they begin to sound an alarm. A sound, a warning. Hallelujah. So this is the last reason they blow a trumpet. I think number five is to warn. It's a warning. It's a warning. Remember Nehemiah when he's building the wall. Do you remember that, David? He's building the wall. And there came a time where the danger was very intense. So what was their signal that there was a problem over here, over there? Do you remember? The sound of trumpet. Yes. And then everybody would come to the sound of the trumpet and gather around where they were. Correct. And they would come ready for war. So it was a call for help and a warning. Like, hey, there's danger here. So there's five reasons that a trumpet will be sounded. Hallelujah. Brother Cassandra, welcome. I'm glad that God gave you grace to join us tonight. Hallelujah. All right. We'll recap just for you, Brother Cassandra. There are five reasons and David's going to help. Can you remember for what five reasons would the trumpet be sounded in the Old Testament? The trumpet could be sounded for victory. It could be a sound of war. It could be a sound of victory. It could be a sound of war. It could be a sound of joy. And it could be a sound to summon the children of Israel for an important meeting or to hear from God. Good, good. You're missing one. Solomon. What did they sound the trumpet for Solomon? Solomon. To crown a king. To crown a king, yes. Good. Good memory. Yeah. I know you. Did you get them all, Bertha? Yes, I got them. Yes, thank you. Okay, good. There's a lot of uses for the trumpet, right? Did you notice a trumpet in there? It's the trumpet of the Lord. Hallelujah. And what is the trumpet sounding for in this case? I believe it's sounding because the king of kings has come to sit upon his throne, to reign upon his throne upon the earth. And that is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Christ. Hallelujah. That's the last trumpet. It's the last trumpet sound. And the king of all kings will be crowned. And coronation celebration will begin at that point. Hallelujah. Isn't that exciting? Anyway, that was just for joy, an extra. Amen. There's other times in the Old Testament mentioned when about the last days when God is going to sound a war cry. God himself, like a warrior, is going to stir himself up and he's going to do something. Brother David, read Isaiah 42, 13. The book of Isaiah 2, verse 13. Amen. Hallelujah. Isaiah 42, verse 13. The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man and shall stir up jealousy like a man of war. He shall cry, yeah, roar. He shall prevail against his enemies. I'll read it again. Thank you. Isaiah 42, 13. The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man. He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war. He shall cry, yeah, roar. He shall prevail against his enemies. He will cry what? Cassandra, does it read? He will cry what? Okay, I'll go again. The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man. He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war. He shall cry, yeah, roar. He shall prevail against his enemies. This one says he will raise the battle cry. Yeah, roar. Must have been the battle cry they were thinking of. Hallelujah. It's interesting, actually. The Israeli people, they have a battle cry. All the way back from Moses and Joshua. And we'll look at that in a moment. Here's another example. When the Lord himself. Can you imagine when God himself raises up the battle cry? Like a mighty champion. This word is like a seasoned warrior who's won many victories. It's the meaning of this word that's used in Hebrew. And he will stir up himself, his fighting spirit, his zeal, his jealousy, his fervent strength. He's going to stir it up. And he's going to cry. He's going to cry a loud, strong, bitter cry. And then he will triumph over his enemies. Can you imagine? God is on your side, Cassandra. And it's time that he raises his voice and cries out in defense of his people. Hallelujah. Let's read one more. The Lord cries and he raises up his voice. Zephaniah chapter 1, verse 14. Whoever has it first, go ahead and read. Zephaniah 1, 14 and 15. All right. You can just unmute and read. Zephaniah 1, 14 and 15. 15. Okay. The great day of the Lord is near. It is near and hastened greatly. Even the voice of the day of the Lord, the mighty man shall cry dear bitterly. The day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wetness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. This is a day when God has had enough. The enemy has gone far enough. You know, it seems like the enemy can win in our lives at certain seasons. And it seems like the enemy takes advantage of those times. Let me declare the word of the Lord. Satan will not prevail forever. The Lord will rise up in his jealousy, his love for you, his jealous love for his precious ones. And he will rise up and he will cry in that day, a bitter cry, like a warrior shouting his battle cry. Hallelujah. Oh, I need the Lord to shout and cry like that sometimes. When the enemy comes in like a, what is it, Cassander? Comes in like a flood. Flood. What happened? The spirit of the Lord. The spirit of the Lord. What is the standard? Is that not a military term? Like a flag? Yes, that is. The same as a flag. The Lord will say, no, this is my child. This is my territory. You will not continue to trespass here any longer. Hallelujah. And the enemy comes in from both directions and we are surrounded like in 2 Chronicles chapter 13. They cried to the Lord and he heard and God raised up a standard against the enemy and he drove the enemy back and destroyed 500,000 in one day. We need our kings to rise up and go before us into battle. There's a time when the enemy has done enough and it's time for the people of God to say, that's enough, Satan. We're calling on our God. We're sounding the trumpets of war. We are crying out with all our loud voice unto God and God will hear to us, hear us and he will answer to us and our God will win the victory on our behalf. Even if we're outnumbered 2 to 1, even if we're surrounded front and back, even if we're not power, have the power that we would wish he had, our God stands with us. When we cry upon his name, we sound our trumpets and say, I declare the victory of the Lord. Come on, everybody. I declare the victory of my God in my situation. I declare by my voice that my God is greater and he will not forever stand by while the enemy takes advantage in my life. Satan, you will roll back and you will be defeated and I will stand victorious not by might and not by power but by the spirit of the Lord. Hallelujah. Oh, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Sometimes we just need to find that war cry and trust and depending and calling upon the Lord. Hallelujah. You know, you can sound the war cry in your own strength or you can call upon the spirit of the Lord and he cries a victory through you and you declare that Satan has been defeated. So, what was the war cry? They had a certain cry, did you know? That Joshua had, that Moses used, that Joshua had and it was passed down even to further generations. What was that war cry? Let's look at it. In the book of Joshua, we find it, Joshua chapter 1 and verse 9. You know, almost every army has a war cry that they cry. If you ever have been trained in the military, they have a certain cry. They have songs that they sing. They have uniting and powerful. But here's the war cry, Joshua 1 verse 9. Amen. Amen. Joshua 1 verse 9. Have not I commanded thee be strong and of a good courage? Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee. Whithersoever thou goest. Now, there's four, three words in Hebrew. The first one is rak, R-A-K. Just do what needs to be done. That's the first word. R-A-K, rak. And the next one is, we've talked about this before a few weeks back. Kasach, C-H-A-Z-A-K. Be strong. Gather your courage and behave like a man. Hallelujah. Take your strength and behave with courage. We saw even in Proverbs 31, when we were studying this, it wasn't just for men. But the woman girded herself with strength. She gathered her kasach. Amen. So rak, kasach, and the last word is amach. And this is what they would say. Rak, kasach, amach. I don't say it well. But that's what they would, that was their war cry. And what does amach mean? Amach means take courage. Be certain and secure. And be obstinate. Be angry, be forceful. Wow. I think sometimes many, some Christians, on many occasions, we simply accept the garbage of the enemy. We simply receive the lies that would bind us. The enemy uses strategy. And he uses psychological operations against us. To convince us that we don't deserve God's help. That God is not interested. Oh, so many lies. But God says sound a war cry. Do what he says. Be strong. Behave like a mighty man. Take courage. Be certain and positive. And be aggressive and obstinate. Obstinate often is used in a negative sense. But in a time of war, it's necessary. It's a forcefulness that's necessary. Oh, that God would fortify us in the spirit. So that when the enemy comes in like the flood, the spirit of the Lord within us. Oh, Jesus help us. The spirit of the Lord within us would rise up. And set up a standard. And make a war cry. Saying Satan, you've gone far enough. Curses, you are already broken by the blood of Jesus. Roll back your powers, Satan. In the name of Jesus. Oh, it's time for a war cry in our lives. Because Satan has stolen too much already. And we haven't realized that we are powerful through God. And this is not by might. It's by his spirit. Oh, mighty God. I remember a story of Gideon. As many of you do. Gideon was timid. He was upset. About what was happening to them. He found himself having to hide in a wine press. To process his wheat. To make bread for his house. He was hiding because the Midianites were everywhere. And the way of the Midianites is much like the way of the devil. If ever they tried to grow anything. The Midianites would just come and take it for themselves. If ever they were getting a few sheep. That were, you know, a blessing. And they were able to come up a little higher. The Midianites would come through with their bands. And just rob and steal and destroy. Sounds like the devil, right? Sounds just like the devil. And here is Gideon. And he's complaining. He's complaining unto the Lord. And he says, God. They just keep stealing from us. And, you know, you promised us these things. But we're not seeing it. Maybe you don't do miracles anymore. Hallelujah. We can read it in Judges chapter 6. We can read verse 11 to 14. I'm sorry that, um. Judges chapter 6. Verse 11 to 14. And as you're looking for it. Judges chapter 6. Verse 11 to 14. Judges chapter 6. 11 to 14. And there came an angel of the Lord. And sat under an oak. And there was an opera. Then that pertained unto Joash the Abizrite. And his son Gideon threshed wheat. By the one prince. To hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him and said unto him. The Lord is with thee. Thou mighty man of valor. And Gideon said unto him. Oh my Lord. If the Lord be with us. Why then is all this befalling us? And where be all his miracles? Which our father has told us of saying. Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But man the Lord hath forsaken us. And delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the Lord looked upon him and said. Go in this thy might. And thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have not I sent thee? Have not I sent thee? And the Lord said to Gideon. Go in this thy might. What might did Gideon have? He believed. He believed. He believed. But. The circumstances were so difficult. That almost. He had given up. And yet when the angel of the Lord came. He poured out of his heart. All of the grievance. And saying you know. Where is this? Do you not do miracles anymore God? I know we can feel like that sometimes. God where are you? And the Lord said. We have not forsaken you. Go in this. Thy might. And I think sometimes the first step. For us. To coming free. In long. Battles. Is to realize this. Is not normal. Don't accept. Your circumstance. As normal. It's only normal without God. But God has not forsaken us. And it's not normal. Our faith needs to rise. And begin to be disturbed. About the situation that we're in. I didn't say depressed. I didn't say. That we should complain to God. I said we need to be disturbed. And not just accepted. It's not normal to live. Under. The hand of oppression of the enemy. Under the Midianite. The Midianites stealing from you. You know the devil wants. To steal your fruit. And your fruitfulness. This is what the Midianites did. Any fruit they produced. The devil would steal it. And the purpose of the enemy. Working in our life. Is to keep us from ever being fruitful. In the kingdom of God. And this. Is not normal. And we need to be disturbed about it. Oh. It's all right. The angel of the Lord. Was not disturbed with Gideon. Because Gideon was disturbed. About the Midianites. And Gideon was expecting the answer. To come from God. This disturbance kind of faith. This trust in God. That says God this is not normal. This is not right. You're not going to steal. My fruitfulness. God has a plan for me. And God has a plan for us. Which does not include being stolen from. By the devil all the time. God's plan. Is to bless. To increase fruitfulness. Even in times of difficulty. There was Gideon hiding. A mighty man of valor. Hiding. But in his spirit. He knew it wasn't right. It wasn't proper. It wasn't normal. It wasn't acceptable. And he wished there was something. That he could do. Amen. The war cry was. Do. We're going to do it. I wish I had a Hebrew brother. That could tell me. The sense of what really that means. And then. Gather that strength. And that courage. And they would cry this out. Basically we would cry. We would cry out. What is it again? Be strong and courageous. And do something. Hallelujah. Be strong and courageous. And move forward. Let's go. Amen. That would be our battle cry. In the name of Jesus be strong. By his spirit be courageous. And begin to move and begin to do. Oh we're not going to sit by and let the devil. Just take advantage. And steal our fruitfulness. We're going to cry out. Unto the Lord. A war cry. A battle cry. Hallelujah. We're going to move in the name of Jesus. Be strong in the Lord. And in the power of his might. Do you know that's our battle cry? Huh? That's our battle cry. Be strong in the Lord. And in the power of his might. You know where that's found don't you? Somebody tell me. Oh it's an easy one. If I tell you. You'll know immediately. Ah it's in the New Testament. It's where he's talking about. That's correct. I think. Verse 10. It's talking about armor. And warfare. And this is the battle cry. Of the people of God in the New Testament. Hallelujah. The same as the Old Testament almost isn't it? Finally. My brethren. Paul is not saying hey. You soldiers down there. You need to get fighting. No he says my brethren. Come join with me. You also be strong with me. In the Lord. As family. We need to unite in this war. Against the enemy. It's good to call a brother. Call a sister. And say something is not right. Something is not normal. Something cannot go on. We need to pray. I'm sounding the trumpet. Of a call for help. And I'm calling out the trumpet. A sign of war. I'm making war on these things. Get together with a brother. And with a sister. And sound that trumpet. He's strong in the Lord. In the power of his might. Hallelujah. Amen. I remember also. Zechariah chapter 4. Verse 6. Verse 6 yeah. It says not by might. And not by power. But by my spirit. The Lord of hosts. This mountain. Shall become a plain. It's spoken to Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel was called by God. To go to Jerusalem. He went. He went. Called by God. And the first thing he did. Was to lay the foundation. For the temple. To rebuild the temple of the Lord. It took him two years. Building the temple of the Lord. And then something happened. And the funding dried up. And it was put on hold. For 17 years. And yet the prophecy. Here in Zechariah. Is that you. Oh Zerubbabel. You who have laid. The foundation stone. You will put the capstone to it. You're going to finish this work. That you started. He was governor of Judah. And 17 years later. I'm trying to remember. Haggai. And another prophet. I'm not sure which prophet. I know Haggai. Came to him and said. Hey it's time to rebuild. So he rose up once again. And he began to build. Another four years. And all. In all it was. 23 years. Two years to build the foundation. 17 years. It just laid idle. And then they rose up in faith. To finish that work. That was started. 23 years in all. Now let me say something. I find it's an interesting parallel. Are you ready for something interesting? Yes. If Jesus. If Jesus is the author. And the finisher of our faith. Amen. So it could be. That I think we were at 23 years. It took to finish the temple. Could it be that. The temple of the Lord. Who we are. Complete. The work of God in the earth. Could be 2300 years. It's just a wondering. But I do take notice. That's interesting. I wonder if it was prophetic. And I wonder if it might have been. Consistent with the plan of the Lord. You know. Until the end of the church age. When Christ returns. And he is. Announced as King of Kings. And Lord of Lords. The trumpet of Yahweh sounds. The trumpet of the Lord will sound. Amen. I think it's an interesting thing. Amen. That's just a bonus. For interest sake. Amen. So there's really a war cry. That needs to rise within God's people. My brothers and sisters. As we allow that cry. To come up within us. A cry that says. Satan you've gone far enough. It's time for the people of God to rise up. It's time for the people of God. To be filled with God's spirit. And to do God's work. To become fruitful. To become powerful in this world. Amen. Amen. You've gone far enough Satan. And it begins. Every work of God. Begins in fellowship. With God. A word from the Lord. In prayer. Every work of God begins there. And begins in your spirit. And begins to work it's way out. Into action. And God begins to do a work. We talked a few weeks back. About praying more urgently. Even as Jesus prayed. And he was kept. Because of his cries. His tears. But there comes a time. There's more than just cries and tears. Because Jesus won the victory already. And there comes something within us. There comes something within us. That throws off the bondage. Throws back the powers of the enemy. Casts off the curses. And declares the blessing. Of the Lord in our life. And over our life. We're not blessed so we can be blessed. We're blessed so we can be fruitful. So we can multiply. In God's kingdom on the earth. This is God's heart. God's heart is so that many would come. And worship him. Hallelujah. Let's go last to. Joel chapter 2. Let's read from the first verse. And let's just read 8 verses or so. In Joel chapter 2. Okay. Joel chapter 2. Verse 1. And again. There was a day when the sons of God. Came to preach. The book of Joel. Joel. Joel chapter 2. It says. Blow ye the trumpet. In Zion. And sound an alarm in my holy mountain. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble. For the day of the Lord's coming. For it is now. At hand. A day of darkness and of gloominess. A day of clouds and of thick darkness. As the morning spread upon the mountains. A great people. And a strong. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. And a great people. Time to sound the war cry. Amen. The Midianites have stolen from us long enough. We've hidden in the winepress for too long. It's time for us to stand and say I hear the word of the Lord. Gideon Gideon in Judges 7 verse 20 said the sword of the Lord and of Gideon I'm telling you the sword of the Lord the sword of the Lord the sword of the Lord the enemy will tremble at the voice that roars through our spirit as we become those who cry out in war oh it's when we cry into the Lord like a wolf that God begins to shake the heavens and destroy our enemy and give to us the victory. I believe it's time and I believe I hear the calling of the voice of the Lord saying release my spirit within you to shout like a mighty man of war. Jealous Jealous Jealous over God's people who have acted upon them. Oh in the name of Jesus release God's people. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. This is the word of God for us tonight. Amen. Amen. Amen. Pray us out there brother Cassandra. Hallelujah. Whatever the Lord puts in your heart take it away. Jesus. Oh Lord. Righteous one you have sent. Raise a battle cry tonight. Thank you for your war to us. We stand in faith. We refuse to sit and hide anymore. We refuse to sit and hide anymore. Lord we have suffered loss enough. We've had our harvest stolen from us. We've had to hide many times. We've hidden and yet we've suffered loss. Maybe sometimes we've lied or compromised and yet we've suffered loss. But now we can hear your voice in the spirit. Shouting like a man of war. I accoach. The Bible says his camp is great. The Lord's voice. The Lord will utter his voice for his camp is great. Lord now we see a great camp and refuse to sit by idling. We refuse to be cowards. We stand up tonight. Lord let everyone hear and not those not present. If there be any among us weak. Jesus was not disturbed by satan. He said when they gave the cross to him. He said we cast out demons. He said look I saw satan fall from heaven like lightning. It's not news to Jesus. I saw satan. I saw him. I saw him fall from heaven like lightning. Oh God we enforce that victory. We enforce it in our life. We enforce it in our life right now. Let there be a standing up in the spirit.
