Nurhacen Ali was a prominent politician in Trinidad and Tobago. He was the first Indo-Trinidadian Muslim president and played a significant role in politics. Known for his neutrality and dignity, he focused on ensuring the safety of citizens and upholding law and democracy. Ali was also praised for his achievements in education and his dedication to his country and its people. He advocated for quality education, environmental protection, poverty alleviation, and managing disappointment. His message emphasized the importance of respecting everyone, regardless of their background. Hello, good day. Today I will be speaking of politician Nurhacen Ali. He was born on August 13, 1918 and died on August 25, 2006. He was born in San Fernando and was buried in the Western Cemetery in San Diego. Education changed Nurhacen Ali's life as he went on to have a history in politics. The occupations he held were retired high court judge, politician, lawyer, magistrate, first Muslim president and of Indian descent in Trinidad and Tobago and second president of Trinidad and Tobago. His achievement was being the first Indo-Trinidadian Muslim president. His education and his family were also huge achievements. Nurhacen Ali was described as one of the most neutral, reserved, dignified figures in the history of anti-politics. He was also a person of impeccable credentials who had a reputation for honesty and humility of the highest order. He believed that he needed to ensure the safety of his fellow citizens and to get law and democracy back on track during his times of being president. Important dates of Nurhacen Ali's life were 1947, Bachelor of Arts degree in Law 1948, Practice Law 1952, Marriage 1975-77, Member of Executive Council of Northern President of National Scout Association 1987-97, Presidency 2003, Published a book called Teaching Words People remembered him for his love towards his country and citizens. He wanted to give quality education to all children, firmly support environmental stigmatization, stop poverty and a guidance as to how to manage disappointment. His message was to give respect to everyone no matter what kind of person you are.
