The speaker discusses their first day at work and the mix of people they interacted with. They also talk about the purpose of their job and how they had to overcome doubts and trust in God's plan. They then transition to discussing the concept of the soul and how it is eternal, even after the body dies. They explain that the Holy Spirit is a person and provide Bible verses to support this. The essentials of a personality are identified as intelligence, emotion, and will.
Good morning, Nate. I see Ray there. Good morning, everybody. Good to see you. Good morning, Tommy. Good to see you all. This is my Nate. Good morning. Morning, brother. Can't wait to hear about our first day, man. Right? First day, not eventful, but a good first day. We'll let a few people get on here and then we'll, we'll run our mouth. Let me get a sip of gold. I'm saying, Hey, I haven't drank coffee. Good morning, Jim.
Good to see you. Um, I've been drinking coffee now since the fourth, I've been at a drip of coffee, spit it out. I have no, this is not coffee. This is, this is hot water and lemon. This is not coffee, hot water and lemon. Let me, let me show you. Hang on, hang on. Hot water and lemon though. We go like that. There you go. See, it's hot water and lemon. So no coffee. I haven't drank coffee.
Oh yeah. I think it's been since the fourth. I just, you know, in the morning I drink hot water and lemon, make a power drink. So there you go. It's been two weeks for me, been drinking hot tea with honey. There you go. There you go. How you been feeling? I will talk about work in just a minute. I meant to spit it out about ace. Okay. Okay. I pray the Lord speak through you today. Please keep me in prayer for financial blessing.
Father God, I come in the name of Jesus with regards to Tommy and his financial situation. Lord, I pray that you can bless Lord. You own the cow on a thousand Hills. Lord, we have faith in you. Father. I just pray that you would bless him. I pray in the name of Jesus that we should bless him. Amen. Much better. Thank you. Good. Good. Well, let's talk about ACE. We've got 314 people on here. Let's talk about ACE real quick.
Well, first day. It was good. ACE is good. Um, you know, there's not a whole lot of, um, there's not a lot of, how can I put this without sounding mean? It's not a mentally challenged job. It's just good morning, lamb. I hope the baby feels better. I hope the baby feels better. It's not a mentally taxing job. You know, you, you, you, it's sort of same routine. Now today's going to be a little different. They have a big truck coming in, so it's going to be a lot of unloading.
But, um, it's very interesting because you have people my age that are working there that are retired and they pretty much have the mindset I've paid my dues. You know, I'm not going to do this. I'm not going to do that. And then you have the other group of people that are very young. They're, they're just either they're, they're senior in high school or good morning, everybody, either they're senior in high school or they just graduated high school and they're, they're at the crossroad of their lives.
So it's a very, very interesting mix of people. And it's funny, the older folks, well, you know, I did my time. I'm not going to do that. He's doing good. Keep an eye on him. All right. Praise God. Um, you know, the older ones say, oh, I'm not going to do that. I've done my time. The younger ones like sort of frowning upon the older ones. And it's very interesting. But what I will tell you, I'm excited about the ministry there.
Uh, good morning, Lone Wolf. Um, I'm excited about the ministry and yesterday, you know, I went into the job. I said, Lord, um, I want to thank you for this opportunity. I want to thank you for allowing me to be in the mission field, but don't get me wrong. I talked about this yesterday. One of the things that I slightly struggled with yesterday is the devil was really trying to, to, uh, good morning, Joshua. Um, Lord knows that I was in my, my heart.
I was almost questioning like, Lord, I'm, I'm, and I, and I don't want to sound conceited, but I, I was, it was like this, Lord, I'm too good for this. Lord, I have a college education. Lord, I I've, I've been in surgeries from Stanford to, to Duke, to, you know, uh, John Hopkins to this and why am I here? And I remember to a certain degree, Satan was really trying to play, uh, uh, with my, my mind and so all of a sudden I just said like, stop, stop, God has me here.
God has me here for a purpose. And because I'm here for that purpose, I'm here to fulfill what God has called me to do. It's not about me. It's not about that job. It's not about, you know, the money or the education, none of those things, God has me here for a purpose. This is why he allowed me here. And, and that's what I talked about yesterday is I had to, we looked at those scriptures to understand that, you know, God is using people in different circumstances and we don't know why, you know, I don't know why the company I was consulting for, you know, even right now, the company I'm consulting for, they, they, you know, I sent him my final expense and they're like, today's the 10th and they're sort of dragging their feet, you know, and I'm like, wait a minute.
I don't get that. But once again, you have to like, okay, Lord, I know you're doing something, I'm going to trust in you. So as for the job yesterday, it was a good day. Today's going to be a little different. We have a truck coming in. Um, I, I took the initiative on every aspect. I, you know, uh, encouraged a few people talking to the customers though, guys, that's where it's really good because I, I must've talked to by golly, I don't know, 10, 12 customers yesterday and I just had a good time interacting with people and so, but Josh, I remember you mentioned something, Titan landscaping in Arizona, uh, Titan landscaping in Arizona.
I don't know who Titan landscaping, I know Titan construction, the construction company, but I don't know who Titan landscaping, the Titan roofing construction is the one that did our roof. Um, Josh, I didn't make a video yesterday. I, I, I, I'm a little, because I had to sign something about, uh, media exposure and, and, and yes, yes, yes. You are you? Yes, absolutely. Ms. Juanita. Um, I, I was, I didn't make a video yesterday because I had to sign something with me with regards to media exposure, but also on top of that, I'm going to keep it to a minimum because I, you know, I get recognized periodically in public.
Not a big deal. Don't mind that. However, I don't want people just coming to the store because they know where I'm at and, and, and all of a sudden they like, Hey, so I'm just going to keep it at a down low and, and just, you know, be low keyed about it. Um, I sense that no one knows anything about me or whatever. No one has said anything, but however, we'll see what happens, but it was a good day.
All right. I keep saying, uh, it's a rough, rough, um, rough, rough. I'm not sure what we're talking about, but oh, okay. We're got a landscape business here named tight. Oh, I'm so sorry. So sorry. Tight. I, please forgive me. Let me follow you. Uh, I will, you know, please forgive me. So Titan Titan lawn service. Okay. Got a landscape business here named Titan also. Oh, Titan landscaping. Okay. And you're here in Arizona. Okay, good, good, good, good.
All right. Well, praise be to God. Praise be to God. I love, I love it. Good morning from Oregon. Hey, Oregon. Miss Cheryl, my, my daughter's over there in Oregon. So praise God. All right. Please pray for my left eye. My optometrist gave me drops that caused my eyelids to drew father. God, I pray for this individual's eyelids. Uh, Lord, you know what is needed and you know what needs to be done to be healed. Father, I pray right now in the name of Jesus that you would help this individual's, uh, eyelids.
We ask this in the name of Jesus. A man. All right. This morning. I just want to briefly talk about, you know, the Holy spirit. Do you know the Holy spirit? Is he, do you know the Holy spirit? Is he, let me share something with him. Uh, let's first look at the second Corinthians five, eight, second Corinthians five, eight. Let's go ahead and turn there. All right. While I take a sip of my, my, uh, hot water and lemon first, a second Corinthians five, eight.
Look what Paul says. And we're going to reference the spirit. We're going to talk about the Holy spirit. We're not going to be in detail. We're just going to cover about four verses regarding the Holy spirit. But I want you to look at second Corinthians five, eight and the apostle Paul writes, we are of good courage. I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Paul is saying that when we are absent from the body, those that are Christians, when we are absent from the body, we are present with the Lord.
So now we have to really think about that real quick. Now, when we say body, we talk about in this case, the human flesh. All right. We were talking about, um, uh, the, the, the, the, the personality, the body, the, the, the, the, the, the part that houses the soul. Do you get where I'm going? And that houses the spirit, the lowercase S because in the book of Genesis, we became what a living soul spirit. And so we have to understand.
And, and, and when we say something like that, well, that person died. And how many of us said that, you know? Oh, that individual died or I lost, uh, my, my mom and dad died. My mom died in 2012. My father died in 2015. They died. How many of us say that? Give me a hands up. They died. We say that all the time because I want to, I want to, I want to correct you on that statement.
Anybody, anybody, I want to correct you. If you say that statement, here we go. There we go. We got a hands up. We, we must not say that that person died, but we must say that their body died. See my father in 2015 died. His body died. My mother in 2012 died. Her, her body died, but her soul, their soul, our soul is eternal. Do you get where I'm going here? There you go. As a believer, they went home to be with the Lord.
Let's read that verse again in second Corinthians five, eight. We are of good courage. I say, prefer, I prefer, prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Paul is saying when I'm absent from the body as a Christian, I am at home with the Lord. Even if we say we pass, we, we associate passing with, with, with the total individual, mind, body, and soul. But we must understand that the body passed, the body died, but the spirit and the soul go on to exist.
And a lot of people get that confused that we are, we are, we are spirits. We are, our soul is a spirit. And, and, and, and it cannot die. And this is why I'm in fascinated with people who, who somehow don't think they need Jesus. I'm fascinated with people somehow think that when they die, that's it, because that's not the case at all. We as individuals, once again, as Paul said, being in the presence of the Lord, we, as Christians, when our body dies, when our body passes, we go in the presence of the Lord and not only do we go into the presence of the Lord, we are consciously aware of our surroundings.
And I know a lot of people, they, they get me personally, they get a really confused with regards, good morning, Brian. They get really confused about death. They think somehow that when you die, that, that somehow you just go into a soul sleep, I don't believe that. Um, real quick and I will reference Luke 16. I think that will, uh, help a little on that subject. Luke 16, we don't go into a soul sleep, but we are consciously, good morning, brother Brian, good to see you.
We, we, we consciously go in the presence of the Lord and we understand, uh, what is going on. We are not in a soul sleep. And let's go to Luke chapter 16, verse 19. Let me take a sip of my water here. Now there was a rich man, verse 19, 16, 19. Now there was a rich man and his, and he had visually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living a splendid, splendid every day. And there was a poor man named Lazarus was, was laid at the gate covered with sores and longing to be fed with the crumbs, which were falling from the rich man's table.
Besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom. And the rich man also died and was buried. Notice there's something interesting there. The angels carried the poor man away while the, the, the, uh, rich man was buried in Hades, I might add, he lifted up his eyes and begin, uh, he lifted up his eyes being in torment, meaning the rich man being in torment and saw now look, the rich man sees he consciously aware that he can see Abraham.
He sees he was in torment. So to understand he was in torment, he had feelings. He was consciously aware that torment. He was, he was visually able to see Abraham. It says in Hades, he lifted up his eyes in torment and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in the bosom of Abraham. Verse 24. And he cried out and said, father, Abraham have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip, may he may, he may dip the tip of his finger and water and cool off my tongue.
So the rich man understood he was in torment. He was, he, as we see, he died. He went to the grave, but he was consciously aware of his surroundings. He could see, he could feel, he could hear, he could understand his, his senses. He was consciously aware. Now his body had died. His flesh is decaying, but he is consciously aware of what is going on. Now watch this. It says verse 25, but Abraham said, child, remember during your life, you received your good things.
And likewise, Lazarus bad things, but now he is being comforted. Even Lazarus understood that he was being comforted. He understood that, that, that, that, that he was in the bosom of Abraham. And so the story goes on that the rich man even asked Abraham, would you please send somebody back to tell my brothers, but then Abraham said, let them listen to the prophets. My point is, is when we, uh, we have to understand that we, and this is what I'm really trying to get to you.
I hope you guys are grasping this, that we do not die. Our bodies die. Our bodies have an expiration date, but our souls are eternal. And this is why Jesus went to the cross for our souls so that we would not be in the state of the rich man in, in, in the, in torment that we, and in that he was consciously aware without Jesus, we also will be consciously aware in torment. And I know there's some people that will always come to, and I'm getting off track a little, but I've got to, I've got to take it there.
There's some people would say, why would a loving God, why would a loving God, uh, allow his children to, to burn in a hell? Well, why would a loving God sin his only begotten son to be the propitiation and the substitute for our sins? Why would a loving God sin his only begotten son for a corrupt sinful world to be, once again, to go to the cross for you and I, why would a loving God do that? Now, a loving God who is righteous, right? Sins his son to fulfill all righteousness.
And that's what Jesus has done for us. And you're right. We have a choice. God does not send us to this place of torment. We choose to go there. And we serve a righteous God. We serve a God that, that is not like man. Man can be persuaded. Man can be convinced he can be bought, but that's not God. He said for, for the wages of sin is death. So he sent his only begotten son to die for you and I.
Because why? That flesh dies, but that soul is eternal. And each one of you has a soul. Each one of you, you are a living soul. You are made in the image of God. That soul is eternal. And when we, when we look at people, when we think about people, and when we understand people, we have to look past the external. And we have to look in eternal. It is the soul. I've told you guys this before.
Hang on just a second. I had a well-known vascular surgeon on the East coast. And he said, Paul, it's interesting. You, you are Christian. I said, yes. He says, I have done thousands upon thousands of surgeries and I have never seen the soul. Can you explain that to me? And I said, absolutely. I go, doctor, you must understand that the soul is invisible. It's a spirit and the spirit cannot be seen. See, even God is spirit and those that worship him, worship him in spirit and in truth.
Angels are spirits. Now, can they manifest themselves to be seen? Absolutely. And, but all reality spirit cannot be seen. You and I have the spirit within us, the Holy spirit. It cannot be seen, but the power of the spirit is working within us. We use the references, the wind. Thank you. Thank you, brother Nate. The wind. The other day I was sitting right here. I was talking to you guys and we had a windstorm that was massive.
We had 50 hour wind, 50 mile an hour winds. We had 60 mile an hour winds. And I didn't see one bit of wind, but I saw the effects of the wind. I saw the chairs flipping over. I saw the trees leaning. Uh, I saw, uh, our fence come over and I never saw the wind, but I saw the effects of the wind. And how interesting that air, wind in the Bible in Greek is pneumo, where we get what, uh, pneumonia, wind.
The word blew the breath of life in us, but we have to understand that, that our body will die, but our soul is eternal. But the spirit is where I want to emphasize on real quick. So with all that being said, let's not get twisted. We are spirit beings and we have a personality now, though, with that being said personality. Let me take a sip here. I want to ask you a question. What is the essentials of a personality? The essentials of a personality.
What are that? What are those essentials of personality? And you guys can name off a list of things and you'll probably get them all right. But I'm going to give you three things that I think are important. I want to give you three essentials that make up a personality. All right. Because remember, we've already, we've already built the foundation that we are spiritual beings. We've built that foundation that when we die, our soul and our spirit goes before God.
All right. We built that foundation. We understand that. We understand spirit can't be seen, you know, back to the doctor. I've never seen the spirit, Paul, as I have looked inside the anatomy. I've never seen it. Can't be seen, but it's there. The soul, it's there. Jesus Christ went to that cross for that soul, but it's there. Trust me, just because you don't see it does not mean it doesn't exist. I like that experience experience. Here's the essentials of a personality.
Let me tell you it right now. Number one, it's intelligence. Number two, I like the DWI. I like that memory. Here's the three thing, essentials that make up a personality. Intelligence, emotion, and will. Intelligence, emotion, and will. These are the three essentials that make up a person or a personality. See, if you're a person, you have a personality. We use that in the context. Well, they got a lot of personality, but let's put it in the context.
If you're a person, right? You have personality and that personality has three essentials. Number one, intelligence. Number two, it has emotion. And number three, it has will. I'm going to prove to you in four verses that the Holy Spirit is a person. No body, but it's a person. No eyes, no ears, no anything that you identify or identify as a person, right? Because we did say when a person dies, the flesh dies, but there's, and how many people agree with that? When a person dies, the flesh is dead, but the spirit lives on.
How many people agree with that? Before I go any further, before I approve this, anybody agree with that? When a person dies, the flesh dies, but yes, yes, I agree. Amen. So let's now look at the Holy Spirit. He is a person. First Bible script I'd like to do is first Corinthians chapter two, first Corinthians chapter two. And jot these down guys, because I want you to be able to express this to people as you interact with them.
First Corinthians chapter two, start at verse 10, first Corinthians chapter two, starting at verse 10. Oh, why am I in second Corinthians? First Corinthians chapter two, verse 10. Let me know when you get there. Give me an amen. We're going to read 10 and 11. All right. Amen. Good. First Corinthians chapter two, 10 through 11. All right, we're good. Here we go. Once again, we are going to prove that the Holy spirit is a person. What are the essentials of the, of, of a personality, intelligence, emotion, and will let's prove it.
If it doesn't have those three things, it's a thing. And the Holy spirit is not a thing. Here we go. First Corinthians chapter two, verse 10 says this and 11 for to us, God revealed them through the spirit, uppercase S for the spirit searches. All things, even the depths of God for who among men knows the thoughts of man, except the spirit lowercase of man, which is in him. Even so the thoughts of God, no one knows except the spirit of God.
Now let's do that last part. The spirit of God knows the thoughts of God, the deep things of God. See, God is all knowing and to know God proves that there must be superior intellect. Did y'all get me? Did you get me? Remember I said, there are three things that must exist for a person. They have the essentials of a personality of a personality. There must be intellect, emotion, and will. When we look at that verse and I'll read it again, just in case it slipped by you.
Watch what it says for to us, God revealed them through the spirit for the spirit searches, all things, even the depths of God for who among men knows the thoughts of man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him. Even so the thoughts of God, no one knows except the spirit of God. The spirit has intellect. The spirit knows the depths of God. The spirit has the ability to think thusly of the three things I said, the three essentials of a personality.
Then again is intelligence, emotion, and will. Let's look at Romans 8 27 to support that a little bit more. Romans 8 27 Romans 8 27. Let's look at that. Romans 8 27, the spirit has intellect. All right. Romans 8 27, let's read it. And he who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the spirit is because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God, the mind of the spirit. The mind of the spirit.
If you have a mind, you have intellect. The spirit knows the depthness of God. And one of the essentials of a personality is that intellect. Are you guys with me so far? Once again, the spirit is not a force. It's not a thing. It is a person, a person you do not see, but he's there. A person that does not have flesh and bone, but he's there. Thank you. And the spirit of God as a child of God receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and this should make you say hallelujah.
And the spirit of God dwells within you. The spirit. Yesterday at eighth, I was moved continuously by the spirit of God. One guy even came up to me. He said, Hey, you don't have to keep working. But the spirit of God kept me going. The spirit of God helped me greet. The spirit of God helped me overcome the spirit of God. You know, when I was getting those negative thoughts in my head with regards to who I used to be or what I used to do, the spirit of God comforted me.
I've experienced this before, uh, in extreme situations when I lost my father, when I lost my mother, the spirit of God comforted me to let me know that my mom and my dad were in the presence of the Lord. That is the spirit of God, the power of God that's within us. And he's a, he. He's a person. He has intellect. He has a mind. He knows the depths of God. Let me read that verse again in Romans eight 27.
And he who searches the heart knows what the mind of the spirit is because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And it is a spirit that we should be led by the spirit. This is why we read in the scripture. We should walk what by faith and not by sight. Thank you. We should be in tune. We should be listening. We should be studying. We should be in the word and waiting on the spirit to lead us.
Even the apostle Paul who wanted to go to a certain country and the spirit forbid him not to do it, even when they stoned Stephen, it says, even when they Even when they stoned Stephen, it says that he was full of the spirit. When they stoned him, I don't believe that even fazed him. I don't believe it hurt him because he was in the spirit and he looked up and he saw Jesus sitting at the right hand side of the father.
It was the spirit. And sometimes we can get that a little twisted in church because I think we misuse the spirit. I think we did that a little twisted. I think we abuse the spirit, but it's the spirit that seals us. We are sealed until the day or the coming of Christ. We are sealed like, like a letter, you know, back in the day, they used to, they used to put a stamp. The sender sending to the receiver would put a stamp on it and that stamp would have the insignia of the family.
And then what happens is that insignia identified that that letter had been sealed and not open until the recipient could open and read it. We are sealed by the spirit until we reach our destination. But the person, the essential use of the person or the essential, uh, of a personality or a person, number one is intellect. I think we've got that covered. Number two, emotion. The Holy spirit has emotions. Now, what do I mean by emotion? The Holy spirit can feel the Holy spirit census.
The Holy spirit can have joy. It can have sadness and it can be grieved, grieving me. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's basically it's a miss Kim. Good morning. How are you doing? Turn your Bibles to Ephesians 430, Ephesians 430. Let me take a sip of my lemon water. Once again, the essentials of a personality, intellect, emotion, and will. Sister got it right there. Look at what it says. Do not grieve the Holy spirit. Oh, that's not what I want.
Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want.
Oh, that's not what I want.
Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Oh, that's not what I want. Let's look on my phone. We're going to look at the dictionary. And we're going to look at the definition of grief.
We're going to look at the definition. Grief. Watch this. Feel grief for or because cause great distress. So we see that it means what? It means feel grief for or because to cause great distress. When we look at that, that means that the spirit has emotion. And it says right there, do not grieve, do not cause distress to the Holy Spirit. Once again, it says, do not cause suffer or grief or distress. The Holy Spirit has emotion.
The Holy Spirit can be grieved. And when we are living opposite of the word of God, we are grieving the Holy Spirit. When we are abusing our bodies, we are grieving the Holy Spirit. When we lack getting in the word or getting in the fellowship or living like Christ or having the mind of Christ, we are grieving the Holy Spirit. We're causing him distress. When we are looking at things we should not be looking at, we are grieving the Spirit.
When we are living a lifestyle that's counterproductive of Christianity or your walk, we're grieving the Spirit. And once again, we know that the essential of a personality is intellect, emotion, and will. We've grieved. When we are angry with somebody and we won't forgive them, we grieve the Spirit. When we are bitter or when we are gossiping, we grieve the Spirit that's within us. We have to understand this. Thank you. When our integrity is not up to par.
When our yeses become noes and our noes become yeses and we're doing everything else but what we're supposed to do, we are grieving the Spirit. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. That last part, we were sealed, we talked once again about the envelope. We are sealed. We are sealed until the day of the coming of Christ. That is, if you will, our deposit of great things to come.
And we are sealed. This is why it's so important that we live for Christ. It is so important that we be serious about our walk and be committed about our walk. Last of the essentials of a personality is the will. The Holy Spirit has a will. If you look at your Bibles of 1 Corinthians 12-11, 1 Corinthians 12-11, 1 Corinthians 12-11, The Bible says, Did you hear that? He has a will. But one, there's only one Spirit.
And the same Spirit, the same Spirit, but one, works all these things. Each one of us is filled with the Spirit. All of us who are Christians follow Christ. We are filled with the same Spirit. He's within all of us. Distributing to each, we both have been distributed gifts of the Spirit, fruits of the Spirit, or I should say, gifts of the Spirit. People see the fruits of the Spirit, all right? Distributed to each one individually, just as He wills.
The Spirit wills what we receive. I close this teaching with this. The Holy Spirit, and as you know, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, these three are one. The Holy Spirit is equal to God and is God. The Holy Spirit dwells within the Christian man and woman. It is the Holy Spirit that seals us. He has intellect. He thinks. He knows the depths of God. He understands. The Spirit is omnipresent, all-knowing, all-powerful. The Spirit that's within us.
That's what's within this temple that we call the body. But the body will eventually die. But the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, is God. But the Spirit of humanity and the soul last for eternity. We prove that the Spirit has emotion. When we don't live the life according to the Word, we greed the Spirit. We cause Him distress. And last but not least, with the essentials of the personality, intellect, emotion, and will, we see that the Spirit has a will.
And in its will, it distributes the Spirit differently. It's the same Spirit, but those fruits are different in each individual. So those who must worship God, must worship God in spirit and in truth. So I close with this. This is why it is imperative that we receive Jesus Christ while we can. Come on, let me read one more thing. CP, just a minute, I'll get your coffee. Let me finish up here. Look at this. Look at Romans chapter 10.
And it says, And with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, I pray that you would receive Jesus Christ today as your Lord and Savior. You ask, what does that mean? What it means to repent, to turn from the lifestyle that you're living. You know, you understand that you're a sinner. What makes me a sinner, Pastor Paul? Well, if we look in the book of Exodus, we can look at Exodus chapter 20.
We see the law. Ten commandments. We see them. Thou shalt not lie, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill. But you say, well, Pastor Paul, I've never killed anybody. If you have hatred and anger in your heart, you have. You say, Pastor Paul, I've never committed adultery. Have you ever looked at a person and lusted in your heart? You have. Well, Pastor Paul, I'm not a liar, I don't lie. Are you telling me your whole life you've never lied? And if you say you haven't, you've lied just now.
Now, we've named three examples out of ten. And if you broke one, you broke them all. And if God were to use those standards, the ten commandments, to allow us into heaven, would we pass or fail? Well, based on those standards, we fail. But if we receive Jesus Christ, he fulfilled those ten commandments, the law. Why? Because the wages of sin is death. Jesus died for our sins. And if we would take our trust and our faith and put it in Jesus and say, Lord, forgive me, for I am a sinner.
I see, I have failed miserably. Would you forgive me? And do you know the scripture said that Jesus, God, is righteous and just to forgive? He's righteous. And he's just. And he's able to forgive. He's the only individual. Jesus said, I'm the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. So the only way that we can get to God is through Jesus. I'll leave you with this one last thought.
Each one of us will die. We will take our last breath. Our heart will stop. And back to the first scripture that I read, Paul said there in Corinthians, out of the body, in the presence of the Lord. That statement only applies to people who have Jesus. And I don't care what religion you are. If you don't have Jesus, you won't have eternal life. You could say, you know, Pastor Paul, I'm the best Mormon that ever existed on this earth.
Without Jesus, you will not be in the presence of God. You know, Pastor Paul, I'm the greatest Muslim that ever existed. Without Jesus, you will not be in the presence of God. You don't understand, Pastor Paul. I was the greatest Jehovah Witness. I was the greatest Buddhist. I was a good person. Without Jesus, you will not be in the presence of God. But you say, Pastor Paul, I'm a good person. None of us are good. Not one of us are good.
Only Jesus was good and good enough. Without Jesus, we cannot get to God. Not on ethnicity. Not on wealth. Not on lineage. Not on reputation nor fame. It is only through Jesus that we get to God in the subject. Because the body will die and the soul will live for eternity. So while you still have breath in your body and you are able, please receive Jesus Christ today. And don't let religiosity nor religion fool you. That is man trying somehow to work himself to God.
Christianity is Jesus coming to us in the subject. Alright, everybody. I've got to get on the course of my day. I like what Jim said. Don't wait. Don't wait. I'm not even promised that I will see you tomorrow. Anything can happen. The same way with you. Don't put this off. Receive Jesus Christ today by repenting, asking for forgiveness, and putting your faith and trust in the Lord. If you would just do that today. Send us an email.
Go on to our church website. It's still under construction. I'm the one that's being slow about it. Jim is on his job. Right now, I'm just trying to catch my breath in this race I'm running right now. But go on our website. Let us know. We'll pray for you. Keep you lifted up in prayer. But receive Jesus today while you still can. Alright, everybody. God bless you. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your questions. I want to make sure we get this.
I've got to make sure that I'm on time, too. I've got to make Ms. Debbie some coffee. But have a beautiful day. God bless you. Keep your heads up. Keep the faith. Remember, Jesus is at the helm. He's got you. And those of you who just received Jesus Christ today, please reach out to us. Let us know so that we can come alongside you. Even if we've got to send you a Bible, direct you to a church.
Ms. Rosemary, if you're listening out there, I can't find a Calvary church close to your son over there in Berkeley. But what I recommend, maybe if he were to start going from a church to church and let God lead him, I'm sure he'll find one that fits him quite well. But God bless you all. Have a beautiful day. Remember, I choose love.
