The book of Jude 3, Jude number 3, Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I find it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. We are asked here to contend the faith in the midst of crisis. Michael chapter 6 verse 1, last place we are going to read. Hear now what the Lord says. Arise, plead your case before the mountains. Mountains here is used to represent crisis of life. Unlock the ears and let the ears hear your voice. Let the ears know how you are going to treat the crisis of this life. The issue of crisis in the world are so overwhelming that we as believers can become paralyzed even to the point of doing nothing about our survival. Whether you grew up as a believer or come to know Jesus Christ, in life the truth is that later in the course of you serving the Lord, you may have a crisis of faith at some point during your life as a believer. When I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, in the year 1984, December 23rd, my mother disowned me. And before my brothers, I happened to be the first born of my mother after 11 years of barrenness. The Lord blessed her with 6 male and 3 female. I'm going to pray for as many as are looking for children here today at the end of this message. But when I got converted, my mother called me before my brothers, picked the second son of my family and said to him, from now you are my first born. My mother told me that she's happy that I'm not the only child that she has. Since I have decided to perish, I shall go and perish. Glory be to God that when the woman saw the hand of God over my life, she gave her life to Jesus and died as a treasurer of our church. And she received district burial when she died. That woman that disowned me. Crisis! I didn't give up the faith as a result of that crisis. In this message today, I would like us to consider the people in the Bible that passed through crisis in one time or another. I will be using some people as case studies in this preaching. Number one, I want to consider the Israelites. I want to consider the Israelites, the people of Israel. Exodus chapter 5 from verse 1 to 11 tells us about the first encounter that Moses and Aaron had with Pharaoh. And this encounter that Moses and Aaron had with Pharaoh brought a very serious, severe crisis to the people of Israel. The Bible says afterward, Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, God said to the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go that they may hold a fist to me in the wilderness. Number two, Pharaoh said to them, Who is the Lord that I should obey? His voice to let Israel go. Verse number three, so they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us. In this time, the God of the Hebrews, the God of the Israelites will meet us here. I am sure of that. The God of the Hebrews, the God of the people of Israel will meet us at the point of our needs in this time. Irrespective of the crisis that is confronting your life as an individual. Irrespective of the crisis that is confronting us as a church. The God of the Hebrews shall visit us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. This God has bettered the life of the people of Israel. He didn't stop at the land of Egypt. And the story of the Bible is truth. The Lord out of His grace and mercy have helped me to be in the land of Egypt. He has also helped me to be in the land of Israel. If you happen to have the opportunity of traveling to Egypt today, ask them about the Israelites. They will tell you we hate those people. As I am talking to you now, they are still in enmity with the people of Israel. When I asked one of them in Egypt, what brought about this enmity that is still existing till now? They said, we will not forgive them for what they did to our fathers. Moses said to them, The God of the Hebrews has met with us. We have spoken with Him. He has had a discussion with us. He has decided to let us go. He has decided to fulfill the promise He has made to us. Pharaoh said, I don't know this God you are talking about. And I don't want to know Him. Neither will I release the people of Israel to go from serving us. Pharaoh said to Moses and Aaron, Now our number is increasing. And we are in need of your labor. You are trying to remove the people from their labor and from their work. And Pharaoh ordered his servants to double the work of the Israelites. And removing the raw material that they have been providing unto them. In order to push them and also require that they should produce the same brick that they used to produce. Even when they were provided with raw materials. That was crisis. God told them, I am going to show my power to the Egyptians. I am going to strike the Egyptians for your sake. Yes, that did not remove them from entering into crisis. Let me tell you child of God, That you are passing one crisis today or another, Does not mean that God has abandoned you. It doesn't mean that you are no more with God. I want you to wait and relax. God will deliver you out of those crises. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I pastored the first church. By the grace of God I am 31 years old today in the ministry. And I have only pastored three churches. The one that I am pastoring now is the third one in my 31 years. The first church that I pastored, God started doing mighty things at Oji River. And the villagers gathered and said, If we are to allow this man who came to assemblies of God, He will close the building of my catholic. These people forced us, forced our members, That they should participate in sweeping the well known Notorious Shrine in the village. I told them we won't do that. That brought a very serious crisis to us. As people of God, we were ejected. All the living churches were ejected out of the community. Deeper Life, CAC, Assemblies of God, Some members of charismatic were ejected out of the community. Assemblies of God, Anambra district entered into the matter. And were supplying us food as refugees. While we were praying, God said, Out of this crisis, I will glorify my name. Let me tell you, at the end of that crisis, I shared it during my years at the Bible school, the story. At the end of the crisis, the God we have come to this camp to seek, Came down from heaven. The promoters of those crises, God killed every one of them. And the community surrendered themselves, Not as individuals, but as a community to God. And we were given the opportunity of destroying the shrine. The opportunity of being the chairman of the community was given to believers. And they said to believers, Whatsoever you people say is what we are going to do. You will not die in that crisis. God allowed the Israelites to pass through that crisis in the hand of Pharaoh. But at the end of it all, God Almighty was able to deliver them. If you watch what happened to them, In the book of Exodus chapter 14, from verse 1 to 15, When these people approached the Red Sea, I have been to Red Sea by the special grace of God. What divided Egypt from Saudi Arabia is the Red Sea. When you stand at the bank of Red Sea, You will be seeing Saudi Arabia, You will just be seeing them at their corner. The moment you see a canyon that will carry you across the Red Sea, You will just enter Saudi Arabia without disturbance. I have been there. When these people approached the Red Sea, They saw the Red Sea, saw the mountains, Looked behind and they saw the Egyptian soldiers approaching. They shouted to Moses and said, Does it mean there is no grave in the land of Egypt? We asked you to allow us to remain there. Why is it that you have brought us here to perish in this wilderness? God said to Moses, Tell the people to move forward. Today, I am speaking to you, Irrespective of difficult, challenging times, Stressful situations, Crises in life, In your business, In the life of your children, Marriage crisis, I am speaking to you, God said, move forward. In this 2023, nothing will stop you from moving forward. In the midst of those crises, I said, move forward. At the end of it, We will hear God, As He spoke to the Israelites. God said to Moses, Tell them, The Egyptians you have seen, Fast approaching, Coming to deal with you. After what I am going to do, You will not see them again. After what God is going to do for you, In this time, Those harassing moments, Harassing crises of your life, You will no more see them again, In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I want to consider the life of Jacob, In the book of Genesis chapter 25, Verse number 21, Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord, For his wife, Because she was barren, Crises, And the Lord granted his plea, And Rebekah his wife conceived. Verse 22, But the children struggled together within her, And said, Crises, Rebekah said, If all is well, Why am I like this? If there is no crises, Why am I like this? Crises, So she went to inquire of the Lord, Verse 23 said, And the Lord said to her, Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body, One people shall be stronger, In Genesis 27, From verse 129 when you read it, Isaac wanted to transfer Jacob's blessings to Esau, Crises, But his mother intervened, Crises, I enumerated some of the Jacob's crises that I found from the scriptures, In the book of Genesis chapter 28, verse 11, So he came to a certain place, And stayed there all night, Because a song had set, And he took one of the stones of that place, And put it at his head, And lay down in that place to sleep, Crises, Instead of using pillow, He used stone, Confusion, Or crises, That was number one crisis in his life, Genesis, Chapter 29, verse 8 tells us, How he used 14 years, To get Rachel, Instead of 7 years, And many others, Hear the statement of Jacob, When he visited his children in the land of Egypt, When Joseph brought Jacob to Egypt, Hear what he said, When Pharaoh asked him a question, How many years are you? Hear his statement to Pharaoh, When he came to Egypt to meet his son Joseph, And Jacob said to Pharaoh, They, And Jacob said to Pharaoh, They Egypt to meet his son, And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage, Are 130 years, Few and evil, Few and evil, Have been the days of the years of my life, And my years, Have not attend, To the days of the years of the life of my fathers, In the days of their pilgrimage, He told Pharaoh, I am 130 years, But the days, And the years I have spent, Can never be compared, To the crises, To the problems, To the challenges, That I have encountered in my life, Child of God, It was the same Joseph, It was the same Jacob, That became the father of the Israelites, And today, People are talking about the land of Israel, If you also take the life of Joseph, Crisis he had a dream, Instead of his brethren applauding him, They looked for a way of killing him, They put him in the pit, Sold him to the Ishmaelites, The Ishmaelites sold him to Potiphar, And there, He didn't survive the house of Potiphar, And from there, He landed into prison, Spent two whole years in a prison, And later on, From that prison, He entered into the palace, You will not end up in those crises, In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I want to consider the life of Jesus Christ, Our Savior, The one that we are following, With the issue of this crisis, Crisis filled the life of Jesus, From conception to his death, Joseph would have abandoned Mary, his wife, If God didn't intervene, Because he was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, Contrary to the natural laws. He was born in a manger, Because there was no chance in the inn, Herod killed many children, Because of him, His father took him to the land of Egypt, For safety, Until the death of Herod, A man that was seeking for his life, Many times he escaped death from his people, One of his disciples also betrayed him, Which you know Judas Iscariot, At Bethsemene, Some of his disciples fell to help him, Even to pray when he needed them most, Soldiers were being kept to stop his resurrection, But in all he conquered, That is why he said to us, In the book of John chapter 16 verse 33, He said, These things I have spoken to you, That in me you may have peace, So that in me you will relax, So that in me you will fortify yourself, So that in me you will not allow disturbances of life, To take you out from serving the Lord. One of our fathers and ministers here yesterday said, That little did we know, That this year 2023, That we are going to buy money with money, In Nigeria, Crisis, A man, the other day, We went to Zinet Bank, One of the importers in Inlewi, You know that Inlewi is filled up with importers, One of the importers shouted in Zinet Bank, And said, This is wickedness, That a man that kept his money, That the bank and government will be dictating to him, On how to eat his money, Because they told him, We are not giving you more than 2000 Naira, Crisis, The man was annoyed, When I saw how he was irritated, I moved to him, I said to him, Sir, Please, You are not alone in this matter, There was a week, My deceased pretender did not have 1000 Naira in his house, And because, By the grace of God, We have millions in the bank, I went to approach the bank manager, In one of our banks, I said to the manager in her office, Please, I beg you, I beg you, Even if it is only 5000, Give me, My bishop, Have no Naira in his house, The bank manager brought out her handset, And said to me, Reverend, I suppose not to show you this, But let me show it to you, This is the amount Central Bank released, To us, Since Friday, She said, Look at it, And I looked at it, She asked me, How many people, That are we going to be able to distribute, This 250,000 Naira, She said to me, See the statement, By the Central Bank, That is all we received from them, She said to me, We cannot do otherwise, Than what we are doing, Crisis, But you have also discovered, That we are surviving the crisis, And I want to let you know, You will survive it, I had a program at London, And India, But, COVID-19 stopped those programs, COVID-19 stopped those programs, And, Just like one of our fathers, Said here yesterday, Some of us in the market, Were covering our nose, Covering even the eyes, I saw one man one day, He looked like a masquerade, Only the two eyes, Were being seen, Only the two eyes, Were being seen, And some of your friends, If you bring out your hand to shake them, They will do their hand like this, No one will shake you, But today, We have survived COVID-19, Have you not survived it? We have survived COVID-19, There is no crisis, You will not survive, Sign of God, I want you to understand, There are a lot of people, A lot of people, That are passing through, Economic crisis in their life, Whatsoever they put their hands to do, Will not survive, Nothing survives, In their hands, Whatsoever they lay their hands upon, Will die, Even the business, That others are doing, To survive and to succeed, The moment they enter into it, That business will die, There are people, That have fruitlessness, Both in the area of children, And in the area of material blessings, They are crisis, In assemblies of God today, I went to represent my district, In one of the, Marriage committee, Panel meeting, Meeting at Enugu, There, I saw, Multitudes of people, That came because of, Marriage issues, My district sent me to go and bear a witness, Of, One marriage, In my district, I saw these people, I said, There is really a problem, Marriage crisis is everywhere, Some of us, Even have decided to take, To the ethics, Of the western world, Feeling that any marriage, That is not working, You can do away with it, Crisis, Crisis, Some of us have children, That are wayward, Children that are not submissive, To their parents, And to the Lord of God, Crisis, Some of us have businesses, That are not moving, Anywhere, You have done everything within your reach, To activate it, Yet nothing is happening, Crisis, I have a good news, Unto everyone of us this morning, Hear me, We are not fighting, We are not fighting, For victory, But we are fighting, From victory, The Lord Jesus, Have already defeated, Our foes, Our enemies, It is his victory, That we are fighting from, This morning, I have a good news, For somebody here, Not minding what you are passing through, I am going to pray, With us, And God is going to destroy, Every crisis in your life, In the mighty name of, Jesus Christ, Three years ago, My second son, Who is married, And a graduate, died, And the doctor, Certified him dead, Left us, At his bed, And went, His office upstairs, To stay, I looked at my son, Very big, I said to God, I did not ask you to give me seven children, That was how I prayed that day, I and my wife, When we got married, we prayed, That God should give us, Five children, And I will hand my boots, We prayed, And asked God to give us, Three sons, and two females, The Lord answered our prayers, And I consulted, A professor, a gynecologist, At university teaching hospital, Neu, Who did the family planning for us, And we laughed, Brethren, At the end of it, Before you know it, Boy, We went to the professor, The professor said, It can never happen, The professor took my wife, To pregnancy test, At the end of it, He came back, was looking at me, I was looking at him, I called him dog, what is happening? ministry, To come, To beg my wife, For me, And everybody was coming to my house to beg, Now, At the end of that seventh child, God himself, Closed the womb of my wife, God did a family planning for us, By himself, So, when doctor satisfied, My second son, Then, I said to God, I did not ask you for seven children, You are the one that gave me, Seven children, I said to God, Therefore, I will not have six children, Because you gave me, Seven children, Faith, that overcomes, Your challenge, That is what the General Council asked me, To teach here, in the workshop, We kept on praying, The doctor left us, Because, my son, Had been satisfied, We kept on praying, I invited my assistant, Assistant assistant, All of them, I said, I am finished, Come to the hospital, Everyone of us were praying, I told them I will never accept it, My son, I will not bury, Any of my children, but they will bury me, Brethren, at the end of our prayer, My son sneezed, And came back to life, He is alive today, Hear me, When he came back to life, The doctor ran from his house, He saw what was happening, And he asked them to lift him, He was unable to trek, The doctor said, Because he is dead, Everywhere is dead, They carried him out to urinate, Brought him back, And we carried him like that to our house, One day I was praying, God said to me, You promised me, What you will give to me, I said yes, He said, go and do it, Leave the rest for me, I now organized a thanksgiving service, In that thanksgiving service, Many people came, My disciple Denny was the speaker, Brethren, when it was time for my son to
