Liam Lyons, a classmate of the host Nicholas Thompson, has his own podcast about the White Sox. He has been a fan of the team since childhood and is passionate about covering their news and updates. He expects the upcoming season to be challenging, as some key players have left the team. However, he hopes to provide Spring Training and trade updates on his podcast. Liam predicts that the White Sox will likely win around 65 to 70 games and finish fourth in the AL Central. Hello, welcome back to Bulls Breakdown. I'm your host Nicholas Thompson and today I have a very special interview with the classmate of mine, Liam Lyons, who has his own podcast going over the White Sox. How you doing today? Doing good. Thanks for having me on. Yes, sir. So one question I want to ask you is, what made you want to do a White Sox podcast? Well, let's see, I've been a White Sox fan my whole life. Obviously wasn't really alive as much as I was when they won their World Series back in 2005, but ever since I've been going to games with Skittles and watching games, I've just been in love with this team. You know, not a lot of great success. We've had some good playoff runs here and there, some good players, but I'm always going to be a White Sox fan until the end of the day. So, I mean, go White Sox. Yes, sir. Go White Sox. And another question I have for you, what do you expect to happen like this season, this upcoming season? So, honestly, I'm kind of torn. I'm kind of at the state where I'm like, we might be good, we might not be, we might be okay, but I don't think it's going to be a great year. You let guys who have been here for a while walk, like Elvis is gone, Tim Anderson's gone, you know, Asmani. I can go on and on, but now we have got a few guys that are still competitive, like Robert and Cease. Eloy's still there, but I think it's going to be a rough year. I think I'll expect some trades by the deadline, expect some moves, but yeah. And on your podcast, what would you like to cover going on with the White Sox? Well, hopefully by the time I roll out episode two of my podcast, Spring Training will just be underway. We have our first game on Friday against the Cubs, but I'm looking forward for a lot of Spring Training updates, trade updates, because we have a new GM in Grisketts, anything Chicago White Sox news. I mean, there's always news in baseball. It's a very long season, as you know. So, hopefully to keep you guys as well informed about the White Sox as I can. Before you go, I have one question, a little fun question. What is your prediction, like record prediction, you think how many games the White Sox are going to lose this upcoming season? If I had to guess right now, I'd say our ceiling is we get 80, maybe 85 wins. But I think where we're actually going to be is around the 65 to 70 win range, and hopefully hit that fourth spot because no one wants to finish last. But with how good and how young these teams in our division are getting, I see the White Sox at fourth out of fifth in the AL Central this year. Thank you. That's all I have for you. Thanks for coming on. I will leave the link to Liam's podcast in my description, so you guys are more than welcome to go check it out. Thank you for listening.
