Nate The Great's Top 10 Countdown features the biggest songs, including "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" by Pink at number 10, "Eyes on You" by Nicky Yor at number 9, and "I'm a Mess" by Avril Lavigne featuring Youngblood at number 8. The New York Times listed London as the top travel destination for 2023. Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary" has re-entered the charts due to a TikTok trend and is at number 7.
Welcome to Nate The Great's Top 10 Countdown. I think we got a winner right here. Good answer. Counting down the biggest songs all the way to number one. Like, it's just such a vibe. Three. Three. Two. Okay. One. Now, hold your horses. Here's your host, Nate The Great. Yeah, I'm back after my five-month hiatus. Hey everybody, my name is Nate The Great. I'm a middle school math teacher now, and it's been awesome. I'm also exhausted. So, since it's MLK weekend, I have some extra time, and I am so excited to be in front of the mic and talking to you and bringing you my top 10 for this week.
I've got the latest from Nicky Yore, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, a special cover of a Journey song by Daughtry, and more. They are all radio edits, by the way, so you don't have to worry about any swears. And my crazy Florida story of the week is amazing, as usual. I also have a throwback that I've inspired to play after this artist made a lot of people excited yesterday. I'll explain. Maybe you know what I'm talking about.
But, okay, let's get this party started. This number 10 song of the week has been out for a little while, but I'm still loving it. The music video for it is awesome. Her new album, Trust Fall, is coming out on February 17th. I'm talking about pink. Never Gonna Not Dance Again is kicking off Nate The Great's top 10 countdown. Oh, Lord, don't try me, really not tonight. I'll lay down and die. I'll scream and I'll cry.
We've already wasted our time. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. Oh, what I just want now is popping this in my liquor. Tickle all of my clothes. Never gonna not dance again. Dance, dance, dance, I'm gonna dance, bruh. Dance, dance, dance, I'm gonna dance. I want my life to be a Whitney Houston song. I got all the love, can't zero. Don't care if I belong, no. If I could kill a thing, that makes us all so dumb.
We're never getting younger, so I'm gonna have some fun. Cause, oh, one thing I'm never gonna do. Just throw away my dancing shoes. And, oh, Lord, don't try me, really not tonight. I'll lay down and die. I'll scream and I'll cry. You know that I'm starting to fly.
Dance, dance, dance, I'm gonna dance, bruh. Dance, dance, dance, I'm gonna dance. I'll lay down and die. I'll scream and I'll cry. You know that I'm starting to fight. I'll lay down and die. I'll scream and I'll cry. We've already wasted enough time. We've already wasted enough time. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. Oh, what I just want now is popping this in my liquor.
Tickle all of my clothes. Never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. I'm never gonna not dance again. Let the music play till the end. I'm never gonna not dance again.
Let the music play till the end. Hey, it's Anna. And I'm Raven from the Anna and Raven Show. You're listening to Nate The Great's Top 10 Countdown. Number nine. She knew to California. She know that I adore her. She got me like, ooh, I don't know what to do. Sweet tea like Arizona. One look and I'm a goner. You're looking at me while they're looking at you. OK, OK. I know she came here for me. I know she'll get it for free.
She got them wrapped around her fingers, got them down on her knees. She like a wave on the beach. She like 100 degrees. Yeah, she made me a believer. She like heaven to me. Ooh, baby. Is it you, baby? Now this party isn't really my vibe. It's cool, baby. I got you, baby. And I know you're leaving with me tonight. She knew to California. She know that I adore her. She got me like, ooh, I don't know what to do.
Sweet tea like Arizona. One look and I'm a goner. You're looking at me while they're looking at you. All eyes on you. Ah, ah, ah, ooh, ooh, ooh. All eyes on you. Ah, ah, ah, ooh, ooh, ooh. All eyes on you. She could be a movie star. Those streets, she could take my heart. Can't find the words to describe it. Describe it. Lights out, see where she go. Lights out when I get her home. She tell me that I'm her baby.
Ooh, baby. Is it you, baby? Now this party isn't really my vibe. It's cool, baby. I got you, baby. And I know you're leaving with me tonight. She knew to California. She know that I adore her. She got me like, ooh, I don't know what to do. City like Arizona. One look and I'm a goner. You're looking at me while they're looking at you. All eyes on you. Ah, ah, ah, ooh, ooh, ooh. All eyes on you.
Ah, ah, ah, ooh, ooh, ooh. Yeah. All eyes, all eyes, all eyes on. All eyes, all eyes, all eyes on. All eyes, all eyes, all eyes on you.
All eyes on you. Nate the Great's Top Ten Countdown is on. That's my number nine song of the week. Nicky Yor with Eyes on You and his single Sunroof was officially deemed the 2022 song of the summer. I'm completely in agreement with that. Okay, here's an interesting story. The New York Times just released their list of where to travel in 2023. They listed 52 of them, and number one is London, which having recently been there for the first time, I completely agree with.
By the way, number two is Morioka, Japan, and number three is Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park in Arizona. But here's my favorite part. New Haven made the list at number 50. Seriously, of all the places in the world, New Haven is number 50. Why? We have Yale, good pizza, and a shoreline with brown water from Long Island Sound. Okay. All right, I'll be nice. The New York Times also says that New Haven has an, quote, encyclopedic collection of great American architecture, a thriving cultural life, and one of the best food scenes in the country for only a size of 134,000 people.
All right. I'll give them that one. Back to the Countdown. My number eight song of the week comes from Avril Lavigne, and it features Youngblood. It's called I'm a Mess. Such a great song, and it is on Nate The Great's Top Ten Countdown. Staring at the pavement alone I said I was on my way home to you All the shops in London are closed And I don't know where to go from here No, I don't know where to go from here But I know I'm a mess, I'm a mess When we're not together It's such a wreck, it's such a wreck I hope it's not forever When I see you again I wish it was me and you till the end But I know I'm a mess, I'm a mess I don't know, I'm a mess, I'm a mess It hasn't been a thing since that night I wish I said I loved you just one more time I tried to figure out how to make it right But I don't know where to go from here I don't know where to go from here But I know I'm a mess, I'm a mess When we're not together It's such a wreck, it's such a wreck I hope it's not forever When I see you again I wish it was me and you till the end But I know I'm a mess, I'm a mess I don't know, I'm a mess, I'm a mess And I know that I have my issues I'll let you talk some more, I miss you I'm tired just a little, I'm tired just a little I'm slipping closer to the edge I hear your voice, it's in my head But you're gone again, gone again I'm a mess, I'm a mess When we're not together It's such a wreck, it's such a wreck I hope it's not forever When I see you again I wish it was me and you till the end But I know I'm a mess, I'm a mess I don't know, I'm a mess, I'm a mess Gone again Love is just a history that they may prove And when you're gone I'll tell them all religions When funk should come To kill the king upon his throne I'm ready for their stones I'll dance, dance, dance with my hands Dance, dance, dance above my head Like Jesus said I'm gonna dance, dance, dance with my hands Dance, dance, dance above my head And every other broken number Boy, it's sad because I won't cry for you I won't lose you I think you do I won't cry for you You see, when you're gone I'll still be bloody merry Waves are not just art for Michelangelo to carve He can rewrite the egg roll of my fury heart I wave on mountain tops and barricades With power, morale to serve I'll dance, dance, dance with my hands Dance, dance, dance above my head Like Jesus said I'm gonna dance, dance, dance with my hands Dance, dance, dance above my head And every other broken number Boy, it's sad because I won't cry for you I won't lose you I think you do I won't cry for you You see, when you're gone I'll still be bloody merry Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da I won't cry for you I won't justify the things you do, do, do I won't cry for you You see, when you're gone I'll still be bloody merry Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da I cannot believe that due to a TikTok trend involving 4 million people has now created Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary song from 2013 back onto the radio charts and it is my number 7 song of the week because it's really good but actually I've got my throwback song for you right now Throwback, throwback Run, boy, run Nate the Great's Top 10 Countdown Throwback Song of the Week Okay, so as you know, Rihanna is headlining the halftime show at Super Bowl 57 on February 12th and she released a 30-second teaser trailer for it yesterday on all the socials and it sparked major excitement because in it you hear headlines about how she hasn't made new music in 6 years So, will she be making new music between now and the upcoming show? with Cuff It Now it's time for Nate the Great's Crazy Florida Story of the Week Uh, I, I am in a bit of a jam Oh, how I miss doing these Here we go Two people in Florida were arrested after one of them made a 911 call to get help with moving their belongings from a home they were burglarizing, authorities said Yeah, I read that correctly Deputies responded to a home in Polk County after a 911 call was made, but nobody spoke At the home, the deputies concluded that nobody lived there but they found a male suspect and his girlfriend inside the home after entering it through an unlocked door Deputies had actually been searching for that male after identifying him from a security video stealing items from a nearby Dollar General store earlier that same day Incredible The female told the deputies that she had called 911 to ask them to help move their belongings from the house that don't forget, they were burglarizing They also wanted to get a ride to the airport so they could spend the weekend in New York The sheriff's office said, well the sheriff was quoted as saying deputies did help them with their belongings and did give them a ride but it wasn't to the airport, it was to the Polk Polky I guess that means jail and they are welcome to stay there all weekend long The Polk Polky, again I think I'm saying that right is much better than New York anyway that's what the sheriff said They were both charged with burglary and the male was charged with two counts of it because of the Dollar General incident earlier that day Truly incredible and yeah, only in Florida Alright, my number 5 song of the week heading back to the countdown absolutely loving it the latest from Taylor Swift it's called Lavender Haze and it is on Nate The Great's Top 10 Countdown Oh, oh, oh Staring at the ceiling with you Oh, you don't understand too much And you don't really read into My melancholy, oh I've been under scrutiny, yeah, oh, yeah You handle it beautifully, yeah, oh, yeah All of this is new to me, yeah, oh, yeah I feel the lavender haze creeping up on me I feel I'm standing for two, give a damn what people say I don't feel the need to take what's from me I just wanna stay in that lavender haze Oh, they keep asking me if I'm gonna be alright The only kind of girl they see is a one night or a while I find it dizzying, yeah, oh, yeah It's bringing up my history, yeah, oh, yeah But you weren't even listening, yeah, oh, yeah I feel the lavender haze creeping up on me I feel I'm standing for two, give a damn what people say I don't feel the need to take what's from me I just wanna stay in that lavender haze The lavender haze Talk, you talk and you go viral I just need this love spiral Get it off your chest Get it off my chest Talk, you talk and you go viral I just need this love spiral Get it off your chest Get it off my chest I feel the lavender haze creeping up on me I feel I'm standing for two, give a damn what people say I don't feel the need to take what's from me I just wanna stay in that lavender haze Get it off your chest Get it off my chest The lavender haze I just wanna stay in that lavender haze We were crazy, we were cold Kind of dream that can't be sold We were right till we went Built a home and watched it burn Mmm, I didn't wanna leave you I didn't wanna lie Saw it as you cried I didn't wanna leave you I didn't wanna lie Saw it better, baby Can't love me better Like The Voice and American Idol However, Daughtry just released one that in my opinion Is the exact way to cover a Journey song Especially the song Separate Ways I've always loved him and his voice It fits perfectly with the song It also features the incredible Lizzy Hale From the band Hailstorm I will admit that it gets a little heavy towards the end But the rest is pure gold It's not being played on the radio yet And I wish it would be But it's fantastic I love it so much that it's my number three song of the week On my Top Ten Countdown Once again, Daughtry and Lizzy Hale Covering Separate Ways by Journey Let's go!
