Telo bueno is an important book for children. Grandmother Petronilla helps her granddaughter learn to love her hair through family stories. It shows her taking care of her granddaughter's natural curls, giving her confidence in her natural appearance. Telo bueno is especially important because it shows pride in embracing Afro-Puerto Rican heritage. I loved the part where Grandmother Petronilla explains that her granddaughter's hair comes from her, not her mother. It really resonated with me how Grandmother Petronilla showed her love to her granddaughters by teaching them to love their hair. Hair braiding is important in my family, and my grandmother used to do my hair when I was growing up. Telo bueno es un libro importante para los niños. La abuela Petronilla ayuda a su nieta a aprender a amar su cabello a través de historias familiares. Telo bueno muestra a la abuela Petronilla cuidando de sus nietas naturalmente rizando regadito el cabello y dándole confianza en su apariencia natural. Telo bueno es especialmente importante porque muestra orgullo en abrazar a sus afro puertorriqueños. Me gustó especialmente la parte en la que la abuela Petronilla explica de que su nieta el pelo regado. No todo de su mamá, pero todo de su abuela Petronilla. La abuela Petronilla ha demostrado su amor a sus nietas mostrándoles como amar su cabello realmente resonó conmigo. Yo creo que el trenzado del cabello es muy importante en mi familia y crecer mi abuela haría mi cabello mucho.
