The hosts of KFCR, Bruce and Steve, introduce themselves and share some music and words of Jesus with their listeners. They also promote a Fall Bazaar event at their church and discuss the importance of prioritizing God. They mention some historical events and birthdays, play songs by various artists, and announce that they will be featuring Ron Hutchcraft and Rob Lacey in future episodes. Welcome to another episode of KFCR. You got Bruce here. Yep, and I'm Steve. We're back with you this week. We're a couple old truck drivers. Well, I'm the old one. Retired from truck driving, now I'm a bus driver. And I'm the good looking one, Bruce. What do you think about that? I think in line to those folks on the radio. It is great to have you here. We're going to share some music with you. Share some of the words of Jesus with you. And we hope you enjoy our show. Here we go. Flip that switch, Steven. You have my heart, and I am yours forever. You are my strength, God of grace and power. With everything, you're holding your hand. Still you make time for me, I can't understand. Praise to God of earth and sky, how beautiful is your unfailing love. Unfailing love. And you never change, God, you remain the holy one. My unfailing love. Unfailing love. You are my rock, the one I hold on to. You are my song, and I sing for you. With everything, you're holding your hand. Still you make time for me, I can't understand. Praise to God of earth and sky, how beautiful is your unfailing love. Unfailing love. And you never change, God, you remain the holy one. My unfailing love. Unfailing love. With everything, you're holding your hand. Still you make time for me, I can't understand. Praise to God of earth and sky, how beautiful is your unfailing love. Unfailing love. And you never change, God, you remain the holy one. My unfailing love. Unfailing love. Oh yeah. Praise to God of earth and sky, how beautiful is your unfailing love. Unfailing love. And you never change, God, you remain the holy one. My unfailing love. Unfailing love. Unfailing love. Unfailing love. Oh, thank you, Jesus. You have my heart. You have my heart. Thank you, Jesus. And that was Kansas on the Anderson family, Hand of Grace. They're from right here in Wichita, Kansas. They go to the music ministry and my church here, Legacy Worship Center. 3310 West MacArthur Road. I'd like to make an announcement since I'm on the local portion of this. Legacy Worship Center is going to have a Fall Bazaar coming up here November the 4th. It's going to be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's at our church gymnasium. It might be anywhere in the area since we do have quite a few local listeners. Come see us, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., November 4th, Fall Bazaar. Okay, let's have us another song. Let's go out with Sunshine Road, Calling You. When you stray from the fold and there's trouble in your soul, Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? When your soul is lost in sin and your actual journey's in, Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? Calling you, calling you, calling you. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? He will take you by the hand, lead you to that promised land. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? As you journey day by day and temptation comes your way, Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? If you'll follow in His light, He will always guide you right. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? Calling you, calling you, calling you. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? He will take you by the hand, lead you to that promised land. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? . When your soul is burning down and your friend cannot be found, Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? If you'll follow Him each day, He will brighten up your way. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? Calling you, calling you, calling you. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? He will take you by the hand, lead you to that promised land. Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? Can't you hear the blessed Savior calling you? . Well son, I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the promotion. Would ice cream help? Ice cream? Oh come on dad, I've been working 80 hour weeks. I've wanted that job more than anything. Thought for sure I'd get it. Let me give you some advice. Son, do you remember your great, great, great grandfather? Uh, I don't think I ever met the man. Neither did I, but he was a man with hopes and dreams too. Do you know what he dreamt of more than anything? No. Me neither, but do you know how much money he made? No, how much? I don't have any idea. Um, is this going anywhere? Son, only the things we do for God are important. In the light of eternity, everything else is either forgotten or turns to dust. Are your priorities straight? No, I don't think so. Come on, let's get some ice cream. Thanks dad, I really appreciate it, but I'm going to go home and buy my son some ice cream. Now you got the idea. Another message from Lifeline Productions, located on the web at lifelinepro.com. Hi, some facts for today. Did you know that on this day in 2003, Arnold Schwarzenegger became governor of California? In 2008 on this day, Swedish music streaming service, Spotify, I know a lot of people use that service, it was launched by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzen. In 1996, Fox News Channel began broadcasting. Also on this date in 1959, the Soviet spacecraft Luna 3 allowed the world to look at the far side of the moon for the first time ever. And in 1959, a well-known person that we all see on TV, a well-known personality, Simon Cowell was born in 1959. Also, Vladimir Putin was born in 1952. So that was some things going on on this date in history. Well, I was headed for my mailbox, I met my landlord on the way. He said, the cost of living's going up, boy, it's so different for you today. But I just shook my head in disbelief as I watched the mailman alone. That little tin box from Pull Up Pills on the floor down by the road. Well, I was almost scared to look inside, cause it seemed them bills, they came through car. The change I've saved since last payday, when they laid me off my job. Well, I just saw it hard for what it was, just the end time closing in. And a smile formed on this Christian's lips, you'd soon see his revenge. Well, the cost of living's going up, but so am I. When Jesus calls for me, I'm gonna fly. And I'll wave goodbye at the moon as I go by. Sure, the cost of living's going up, but I'm going higher. Well, the cost of living's going up, but so am I. When Jesus calls for me, I'm gonna fly. And I'll wave goodbye at the moon as I go by. Sure, the cost of living's going up, but I'm going higher. Higher. I am going higher. Alright, that was the Beasleys with the cost of living. Now we'll go hear from the Daniel Ledbetter family with God Delivers All His Children. Let's sing. I have seen the sainted body that was wracked in pain. But I have seen God touch and heal them and deliver from the pain. But I have seen other saints that God delivered to. Their deliverance was eternal. The angels carried him away. But God delivers all his children. He never failed one yet. In living or dying, well, he knows what's best. He delivers some by healing. He delivers some whole. But God delivers all his children. He never leaves one alone. He delivers from the fire. He delivers from the sun. He delivers from the lion. He delivers from the swan. He delivers from the giant. He delivers from the stone. God delivers all his children. He delivers one and all. Some have died in the fire. Some have died in the flood. Some have died in the famine. Some have died in the war. Some have been stoned asunder. Some tormented too. But for the saints that died in Jesus, they found deliverance too. But God delivers all his children. He never failed one yet. In living or dying, well, he knows what's best. He delivers some by healing. He delivers some whole. But God delivers all his children. He never leaves one alone. Now for the saints that have died holding to the cross, we must remember we came through loss to live in Christ. But to die is gain. We'll receive complete deliverance when he calls our name. But God delivers all his children. He never failed one yet. In living or dying, well, he knows what's best. He delivers some by healing. He delivers some whole. But God delivers all his children. He never leaves one alone. We want to thank you again for spending your hour with us here at KFC Hour, where we don't really know what we are doing, but we sure are having fun doing it. Thank you for hanging in here with us. Like Jane said, we like to try something a little different every now and then. Don't know what we are doing. Anyhow, we are going to hear from Ron Hutchcraft. And then we are going to have something new. We are going to start here on KFC Hour. And then I am so excited to announce that we are going to have Rob Lacey, the essential word on the street. The man who first climbed Mount Everest said his reason for risking it was simply, quote, because it was there. Well that's how it was with that monster sand dune near a Bible conference where I was speaking. Now it wasn't exactly Mount Everest, but it was a pretty daunting mountain of sand. The reward for reaching the top, a scenic view of a nearby lake and the satisfaction that you did it. I convinced two of our team members to climb that dune with me. Climbing sand is kind of like, you know, much effort, little progress. As your shoes start filling with sand and your legs start yelling, stop this. We were about halfway to the top when my younger colleagues said, is this far enough? They were ready to quit. Well, we stopped to catch our breath and I pointed to the bottom of the dune and I said, hey, look at how far we've already come. Let's not turn back now. They rolled their eyes and grudgingly agreed to follow the old guy all the way to the top. We were really hot. We were really tired. But I tell you what, the view at the top and the joy of conquest made it worth it. Well, I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have a word with you today about when you feel like giving up. We were halfway there and we were tempted to turn back. Well, you might be at that point today. It's been an exhausting climb, hasn't it? You don't have much left. And there are reasons to be discouraged. There are reasons to wonder if you'll ever make it the rest of the way. And God's showing up today to say, don't give up now. His message to you might come from our Word for today from the Word of God in Nehemiah chapter 4. It's a story of one of the most amazing victories in the Bible. At all odds, God's people under Nehemiah's leadership rebuild the devastated walls and gates of Jerusalem in just 52 days. And like you, they had plenty of reasons to quit when they, quote, rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height. They were at that dangerous point of being halfway there. Maybe kind of like you are. Their reasons for giving up, they're pretty familiar. Their responsibilities had exhausted them so much. The Bible says, the strength of the laborers was giving out. And then there was all that rubble that discouraged them. Some were saying, there is so much rubble here, we cannot rebuild the wall. The other factor that can tempt you to turn back is resistance that unnerves you. They were surrounded by enemies who literally were ready to attack them to stop them. I can guarantee you that if you're doing something God wants you to do, the devil is throwing attacks at you to stop you. But Nehemiah 4 shows us the three energizers that will keep you in the game. First, Nehemiah, quote, stationed people at the exposed places. So you fight back by fixing the leaks and strengthening those gaps in your life or your work where Satan could get in. Secondly, you focus on the Lord. Nehemiah told the people, remember the Lord who is great and awesome. You focus on the great Lord who brought you this far rather than the great load that's been weighing you down. The third energizer, when you're staggering at that halfway there point, is to fight for lives. Nehemiah reminded his workers of what was really at stake in their finishing. Fight for your brothers, he said, your sons and daughters, your wives and your homes. See, you got to remember in any work for the Lord, it's not about tasks to accomplish. It's about lives at stake. Fix the leaks that could sink you. Focus on the Lord who brought you this far. And fight for the lives that need for you to finish what you've started. Jesus didn't bring you this far so you could quit. He's coming on you, not just to start this race, but to finish your race like he did for you. First off, nothing but God. No light, no time, no substance, no matter. Second off, God says the word. Stuff everywhere. The cosmos in chaos. No shape, no form, no function. Just darkness. Total. And floating above it all, God's Holy Spirit. Ready to play. Day one. God's voice booms as light, and from nowhere, light floods the skies and night is swept off the scene. God gives it the big thumbs up and calls it day. Day two. God says, I want a dome. Call it sky. Right there between the waters above and below. And it happens. Day three. God says, too much water. We need something to walk on. A huge lump of it. Call it land. And let the sea lick its edges. But it's too plain. It needs colour. Vegetation. Loads of it. A billion shades. The earth goes wild with trees, bushes, plants, flowers, fungi. Yes. Day five. Day four. We need a schedule. Sun for the day. Moon for the night. I want seasons. Years. And give us stars. Masses of stars. Think of a number. Add a trillion. Times it by the number of trees. We're talking huge. Day five. Okay. Animals. A million different types of each. Let's have some fun with the shapes, sizes, colours and textures. It's wild. It is out. Day six. Then God says, let's make people. Like us. But humans. With flesh and blood. Skin and bones. Caretakers of the vegetation. Game wardens of all the animals. Then job descriptions. Make babies. Run the planet wild. Enjoy. God looks at everything he's made. Fantastic. I love it. I love it. Heaven on Earth. Home. Day seven. Job done. The cosmos and the Earth complete. God takes a bit of well-earned R&R and just enjoys. Let's keep this day of the week special. A battery recharge day. Rest day. Rob Lacey was a British actor, storyteller and author from the UK. Lacey chose to write a book of his own recollections of being told Bible stories when he was younger and how they felt stale to him. Lacey was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He continued to work on the book and has stated that working on this really kept me sane and that because the Bible deals with the big issues like life and death. And it really hit home. The book tells major stories of the Bible, paraphrasing the text in a distinctive, urban style inspired by Lacey's performances. Major biblical stories are recast as mini-blockbusters. Individual psalms are rewritten as song lyrics. The Pauline Epistles become emails to the fledgling Jesus Liberation Movement, a.k.a. the Church. Lacey performed parts of the Word on the street at events such as Hallelujah Palooza, where his rendition of The Good Samaritan was met with a mixed reaction. The slang would not be to everyone's tastes and that Lacey included some interesting concepts. Don't even be offended. This is a verbal version of the Bible. Rob did not rewrite the books of the Bible. This is just a different spin on the way one relates to the Scriptures. Lacey died of bladder cancer on 1 May 2006, aged 43. He was survived by his wife, Sandra Harnish Lacey, and his two children. Harnish Lacey later published a memoir of her life with Lacey. My Savior was raised from a dark, lonely grave. Death could not force Him to stay. There were unbelievers who said this deceiver's disciples had stolen away. The devil has tried to turn us aside. Tell us it just isn't true. If you have ears, a thing that you can't hear, here's what we have to say to you. That's what we've got. Tell me who's that calling? Is that who that's to? Is that who that's to? Is that who that's to? Is that who that's to? Is that who that's to? Is that who that's to? Now the world will doubt, but I'm still gonna shout about what the Lord's done for me. The invisible chains had me almost insane. Then God's lovely Son set me free. The devil's pen won't match. His other's right in the past. Like Him, you'll drown in sin's sea. Satan, my God, sits high. He's never one who's alive. And I know that you also believe. That's what we've got. Tell me who's that calling? Is that who that's to? Who were those men? Shining like a rising. And that is Jesus. Who was that old man? Don't see me cry. I see Jesus at the fallen right time. If God isn't real, who is this I feel? Now who is it in me? If God isn't real, who is this I feel? Now who is it in me? Now who is it in me? What a wonderful song. If that wasn't God by Marty Noblock. Now let's hear a little Ron Perry with My Girl. My Girl I've got sunshine on a cloudy day. When it's cold outside, I've got some lovin' lady. I can't choose yet. What can make me feel this way? My girl. Talkin' bout my girl. My girl. I've got so much money. But please let me be. I've got a sweet heart. But the birds in the trees. I can't choose yet. What can make me feel this way? My girl. Talkin' bout my girl. My girl. Yeah. I don't need no money. Fortune or fame. I've got all the riches, baby. But one man complaining. Yeah. I can't choose yet. What can make me feel this way? My girl. Talkin' bout my girl. My girl. Talkin' bout my girl. Talkin' bout Jesus. Talkin' bout my girl. I've got sunshine on a cloudy day. But even that's a lonely day. Lonely day. K.F.C.R. Now you ask. What in the world is KFCR? Well, we're one or two. Sometimes two truck drivers that just want to share the gospel. We want to share some humor. And we just want to share the world. God's love. Come on over. Saturday mornings. Lonesome Road Radio. 11 a.m. rerun. 11 p.m. Saturday. Give us a listen. That's LonesomeRoadRadio.com. See you there. Hello, and welcome to The Testimony Show. Heard once weekly here on www.radio. I'm your host, Wally W. Wigwacker. The Testimony Show is sponsored by the Wishy Washy Windshield Wiper Company. They're fairly certain they'll work well in wet weather. Call now to give your testimony at 555-1111. Oh, when the saints start calling in. What they will say you never know. When they go to call that number. The Testimony Show. Testimony Show. I want to thank God I'm not dead because I'm so sick. I've got a perforated pancreas and my stomach's half gone. My sinuses leak like a busted refrigerator. And I've got an eye that inflates every three hours. I feel like I'm lying at death's door. Pray that God will pull me through. Oh, I will. Testimony Show. You're on the air. I'm calling from my car pole in the middle of an intersection. My engine is flat. I can feel scalding hot coffee on my lap. Somebody's gonna pay sick for that. There's a car coming straight at me. My feet just blew up. There's a car coming at me. Oh, when the saints start calling in. To tell the world about their world. Oh, I want to call that number. To the Testimony Show. Thanks, caller. Boy, the devil's been on my back today. He's put his fire and darts in a bazooka and blasted them my way. I feel like my brain has been nuked. Praise be. Pray for me. Thanks, caller. My mother got run over with a rickshaw. My daddy drank some shellac, had a nice finish. My sister was electrocuted while blow-drying her hair in the shower. My cat got flushed down the sewer. My dog went splat on the highway. My house was the target of an annual termite convention. I'm gonna change my name to Job and go stand in the welfare line. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Testimony Show, you're on the air. Hello, I've been listening to the other calls and I just had to say something. I've been out of work for almost a year. I threw my back out the other day and the engine in my car just blew up. All these things can be depressing if you let them get to you. Oh yeah, I'm depressed. But God never promised the road would always be smooth. However, he did promise to be with us every step of the way. Yeah. So we can't expect to be too comfortable. But we have our comforter, the Holy Ghost. Amen. If we're always complaining though, what will the world think of our testimony? So I say, praise the Lord. When we share about the Lord. Hallelujah. Now that's the kind of testimony I love to hear. We have time for one last call. Testimony Show, you're on the air. What a day this has been. What an absolutely awful day. This has been the worst. I am sorry. We're out of time. Try calling back when your phone's been disconnected. Wahoo! For when the saints are calling in, the way they talk is such a theme. The church will grow in number when we give the praise to Him. Well, that's it for this week. We'll see you next Wednesday at 1. Meanwhile, be not weary in well-doing. Visit our website at www.www.forge.com. Coming up next on Wonderful Witness Radio. Now sometimes in life the enemy will come trying to lead us astray. He seeks to steal our trust in God saying, why don't you try it my way? But we must remember God brought us this far and He'll take us all the way. Stand up, look Satan right in the face. Say we're not home yet but we're still in the race. Take Him back to a time, had an old-fashioned altar where He knelt on your knees in prayer. Take Him back to the time when life seemed so hopeless and Jesus washed His sins away. Take Him back to the time when life had you cornered and a hand gently slipped inside yours. Take Him back to Calvary where He was defeated and remind Him how far you've already come. Now I've watched as Satan came against God's children bringing fear and doubt. Speaking His lies, saying it's over from this valley, He'll not make it out. But I've watched God's soldier with a sword in hand firmly stand His ground. Saying Satan, my God, has delivered before. He brought me this far and He'll not leave me now. Take Him back to the time God parted water and Moses walked across on His right hand. Take Him back to the time the widow's barrel was empty and God spilled it again and again. Take Him back to the time Elijah breaked fire down from heaven above. Take Him back to Calvary where He was defeated and remind Him what God has already done. Take Him back to Calvary where He was defeated and remind Him what God has already done. That was Take Him Back by the Danny Ludbetter family. Also now let's hear from Stephen on our Scripture of the Week. Scripture for today comes out of Romans 5 and 8. But God committed His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. I sure am glad there's a way to heaven and it's through Jesus. We hope that everyone listening is ready to go. If you're not, call on the name of Jesus. He'll be there for you. He's again closer than a brother. Have you heard of KFC hour? No, it's not lunchtime. Lord, I know I gave my word that I'd help serve food this weekend, but I just got two tickets for front row seats at the big game this Saturday. What do you want me to do? Show me your will. Okay. Heads, I go to the game. Now, Lord, you provided these tickets, so to be absolutely sure, tails, I go to the game. Okay, I'll serve food if the phone rings within the next two seconds. Often our struggle with God's will is not so much in knowing what he wants us to do, but in being willing to do it. Okay, Lord, I know I gave my word to help serve, so if you want me to not use these valuable tickets and miss my opportunity to go to the big game, then let a herd of elephants run through my front room. It's going to take more than a song. I feel the cold chill of old Satan. I know that my strength's not enough. But my strength's been replaced by his loving grace. And tonight I am trusting his blood. It's shielded God's people in Egypt when death's hovered ever so nigh. It's conquered sin's claims and the charges it raised when justice demanded we die. I'm laying it all down at Calvary. Where God proved to me his great love. I can't do a thing but stand here and claim that today I am trusting his blood. Friend, if you're facing trouble and you've done all that you can to stand, you feel like the world has turned upside down and you can't feel the touch of God's hand.
