I'll start recording over here. Miguel's advice was to have both of us recording on Audacity as well as, like, one of us recording on Zencastr. That way, if sound quality comes out bad on one, we've got the other one. Is that how much it is? Oh, Jesus Christ. That's like $500. Yeah. Oh, well. Yeah. I don't want to spend that much, either. No. Like... I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. I don't want to spend that much, either. We're starting a first episode where we're awkwardly dragging ourselves through an intro. Yeah. I mean, I do like, I do really like Pet Med, 4 Idiots, 5 Idiots. Yes. Yes. I was going to say, before we roll into things there, we should probably work out an introduction. This first episode is going great. Yes. There was absolutely at no point where we weren't considering recording podcasts across about 12 hours in a one-hour time difference. Yes. One thing. About one thing. One specific thing. One specific thing. A lot of very... Man, the first time I chewed bubble gum, I don't remember, because it was probably in the 1920s. Because we're going to go with, I'm old as dirt. Anyway, so I'm Dr. Kent Morton. I am a general practicing veterinarian. My background, I initially had a degree in broadcasting and marketing from Central Michigan University. I tried advertising for a little bit and didn't really like it. Long story short, I decided to go back to school as a second career for Vet Med. I went to the famous Tanzania School of Dog, Ross University. I did my clinical year at Purdue and have been a practicing veterinarian for a little bit less than a decade. The most rewarding thing I've done is actually kind of an accident. There's a condition called feline infectious peritonitis. I happened to be reading a journal article that was published in, I can't even remember what journal, about a potential cure for it. It was previously a 100% fatal disease. The very next day, I literally diagnosed the case. That owner happened to read the same article and was like, will you help me with this? I was like, I mean, I can try, but you got to get the meds. Together, we kind of cured FIP. That cat is now three years out of a cure. Since then, people started coming to me for specifically that because a lot of Vets just put those animals down, but now we have a legitimate way to fix them. Yes, it is 100% gin in that, what is it, 32 ounce Nalgene bottle? Full disclosure, we do love our gin. Yes, I have two dogs. A French Bulldog, full name Super Mutant Alien Baby. She goes by Mutie. She has a multitude of problems. We'll just go with medical problems. Everything from her epilepsy to, she has a condition called Lymphangiectasia, which is a GI disease. Not the worst Disney movie. Anyway, she has a multitude of problems. The worst Disney movie. Anyway, she has to have a low-fat diet. She has a condition called hypothyroid, which really just makes her tired and gain weight easily. I'm 90% certain I have that same condition. The other one is named, his full name is Dudicus Maximus, but he goes by Dude. He's a golden doodle. He was hit by a car dog, so he's more machine than dog now. With enough money, we could rebuild him. I think what brought us here is, I don't know, you go through that part. We can go through that. It's a cool thing. Shut up. Shut up. I was going to say, if you talk about our basis for friendship, it's pretty much just like Frank Turner and poor decisions. Enabling poor decisions, yes. Oh, yes, that's our... Could that actually be the title of the podcast? Yeah, in the 4 Idiots by Idiots extended podcast universe, we'll have Kent and Corey out to stupid each other. Episode 1 of our podcast, and now we've planned out the extended podcast universe. Extended podcast universe. Whatever. Kent, you've been a doctor your whole life. I had a really good father, who passed away at 12, and I've been a doctor my whole life. I've seen people who are good, who are careful, and also help other people. I'm not a doctor. Yes, I can't work on you. You're a human. Oh, yeah, no one's going to find this funny. That's pretty funny. It's a great title. Talked about that. I would say it's safe to say we're both more dog people than cat people. But, yeah, I do also love my cats. Probably. Honestly. Feline AIDS. So, it's not actually feline AIDS. It's actually feline coronavirus. Really? Yeah, so it's a coronavirus. So, it's really uncommon, and it doesn't present similarly in cats. It presents with fluid in the abdomen or fluid in the lungs. It can present itself in the central nervous system. You can have a neurologic problem. But, yeah, it's actually a coronavirus. So, people will be like, I think my dog or cat got corona, and I'm like, it's very difficult to jump species like that. Yeah, anyway, we can get into the finer points of FIP later. FIV is cat AIDS. That's feline immunodeficiency virus. Yeah, completely different. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
