The 2024 Formula Drift season championship at Road Atlanta was full of heartbreak and intense competition. Frederick Osbo emerged as the winner, while Simon Olsen faced a mechanical issue and finished second. James Dean fought hard and took third place. There were several notable incidents, including a conflict between Adam LZ and Matt Field, where the judges made a controversial decision. Many cars were damaged during the event, with some even catching fire. Despite the challenges, the competition was thrilling, and there will be more in-depth analysis in future videos. Heartbreak and hand grenades is what I'm going to be titling the round two of the 2024 Formula Drift season championship from Road Atlanta Because we had just that before I begin this is going to be a quick recap Review I will be going in-depth and deeper into more topics from this weekend in later videos this week So stick around for my take on those so Formula Drift Atlanta always my favorite track on the schedule And this year didn't disappoint whatsoever We're going to take a look at the podium finishers. Now. We have one two and three Frederick Oswald gets the win and Simon Olsen a Heartbreaking mechanical leads him to second and then a pretty solid points day and a hard-fought Third place goes to James Dean if you guys watch my predictions. I only got one of those right I predicted James Dean will finish second. He indeed finishes third. I predicted Odie would win He blew up and then I predicted Chris Forsberg on the podium as well And he did not have a very good day a few notables to take away from this is the Adam LZ and the Matt Field Conflict the judges made a call that Adam didn't agree with and most of the fans didn't agree with either I will be going in-depth on this topic later, but to sum it up Matt Field chasing Adam LZ Disrupted his lead run and stalled him out The judges seen it as Adams incomplete lead run and gave the win to Matt Field had he had already completed a lead run So they went back and based it on that Matt Field gets the win and Adam let his emotions out on the live stream and You can make out what you want and make your own decision But the decision was made the judges stood by it and it is what it is Lots and lots of carnage though a lot of wrecked cars not totaled But a lot of wrecked cars a lot of cars going off into the rumble strips there where it's kind of like a staircase Hitting their wheels and just destroying their suspension destroying their cars a lot of that has happened we had a bunch of cars slide in to the Gravel, and then we had od botches, which actually blew up He literally blew up going across the line Finishing his run that was scary to watch the car engulfed in flames immediately. I'm glad he got out. Okay The car can be rebuilt od cannot so I'm glad he got out unscathed It doesn't stop there for fuel suspension though Simon Olsen in the finals battling Osbo has a wiring mishap and the car shuts down We're giving the win to Freddy Osbo. So there is your quick recap review of Formula Drift Atlanta Be sure to stay tuned on the page throughout the week as I'm going to dive into all the topics From this weekend and give a much deeper assessment of those but that is it for this upload I will see you guys next time
