The speaker discusses the game Zenless Zone Zero, highlighting its positive aspects such as the engaging story presentation, voice acting, music, and environmental design. However, they express disappointment with the gameplay, describing it as lacking depth and variety, with repetitive one-button mechanics. The speaker suggests that incorporating a two-button system, similar to games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, would greatly enhance the gameplay experience by allowing for more complex combat and unique character abilities. Overall, the speaker feels that Zenless Zone Zero may appeal to fans of anime games, but it does not offer enough innovation to stand out from similar titles like Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy. They express hope that the game will make improvements to its mechanics in the future. Hey you, I'm your player 2 and let's talk about Zenless Zone Zero. It has great story presentation. Every area that I've seen in this game looks like anime to the extreme and like it all has character and a little bit of depth. The action feels flat though due to the overall character damage and the lackluster surface level battle mechanics. Like I can look at a game and tell that this is a one, maybe two button action game and that causes problems in terms of like longevity of gameplay. And let's just go back to the positives. The positives of it are... Hey you, I'm your player 2, let's talk about Zenless Zone Zero. The things that I noticed the best is the story presentation is actually really good. The way the voice acting is done, the way there's panels, the way the music works and the timing. All of that's actually really fun and I enjoy the way it's going to present itself. It creates a really good vibe for the game. There's also great environmental presentation and storytelling. Like the area you walk around with feels very full of life, very colorful and not too overwhelming but it feels lived in and awesome. Now the gameplay itself is pretty standard for an anime fighter. There's characters that you can get and it's very fast with unique mechanics going back and forth for blocking and potentially parrying. Let me know if you're going to play Zenless Zone Zero in the comments below. Alright, this is how I feel about Zenless Zone Zero. It's pretty but it looks just like another anime game and it's really difficult for me to want to get into it because as I look at the gameplay it looks very one-buttony and the way that it will work to give you variety is to have just a team of characters. Now the problem with that is it's still you doing the same thing over and over and over again. It's one-buttony and it doesn't really work very well. What I've noticed from these games is if they just add the second button they would have far more longevity in the way that we play these games. I play Tower of Fantasy the most. Triangle should be a heavy attack button so you can go back and forth between pressing triangle and circle. I play on PlayStation. So you can have a good time seeing your character do all kinds of combos. It means more work but it also means that we will care about these characters more and what they can do. Nine times out of ten though it's a one-button game where you press a button and you do that over and over and over again and you have one button for specials and you may even have one button for ultimates or a weird mechanic that brings out your ultimate. That stuff, people are going to play it because it's an anime game but for a long-term action game it doesn't work and it will never work because it becomes boring When your brain finally realizes all I'm doing is tapping square. What would make these games more fun is that they embrace the two-button style of action games because they go far further. Devil May Cry, Bayonetta. They're two-button action games. Potentially three with a unique button and that would make these anime fighters go from hey we hope people pay for our game to we're the only game people play. There are two buttons, maybe a third plus dodging, plus parrying depending on what the character style is and then you get rewarded for that defensive mechanic. Oh my god, these games would go so well. Let's say you have a fast player, they have a dodge mechanic and it activates pseudo-witch time or you have a tank character and they have perfect block which will stagger anyone that hits it or you have a medium character that has parry that will allow you to not only not take damage but your next counterattack does massive damage. This stuff is easy in theory and yes developers will have a long time incorporating it but it will make every character that you pull for be a unique character plus because they have more space to create rooms for the two if not three-button system the characters can shine in terms of animation. So Xenolith Zone Zero looks really pretty may be really fun but if you are kind of sick of anime games in terms of Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy this is not going to change your mind. This is just going to be a prettier version of what you've already played before with different characters. So let's hope that they do like an override Warframe did it where they're like our melee doesn't work. So we're going to upgrade it. So I'm hoping one of these three games does it because even in the big games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail the fights that make the game worth playing are far and few between. These massive set-piece boss fights or even a well thought out world or roaming boss they're just really rare. So I'm expecting ZZZ to be in the same vein. So let's see what happens. I have hope but if you're hoping to move over to something else or you're hoping to get into a game that's different from those two I can tell from the trailer and the gameplay footage this isn't it. So yeah, let me know what you think of ZZZ in the comments below which anime fighter do you play let me know in the comments below which anime fighter do you play are you going to play ZZZ? Let me know. Peace.
