Deacon and Deaconess Kiyosin from Harvest Chapel International discuss the topic of hearing from God. They question whether God still speaks in our time and why there are different opinions and contradictions. They believe that God still speaks and has a lot to say about us. They encourage listeners to believe in God's word and remind them that He is not silent. They conclude by inviting listeners to join them in future episodes to explore the subject further. Shalom Beloved, thank you for joining us here on Radio HCI today. We are Deacon and Deaconess Kiyosin from the Harvest Chapel International, Dinami Kumasi. And we are privileged to be coming your way with today's episode of our Morning Glory Devotion. Let us kindly say a word of prayer. Dear Father, we thank you for these special moments where we come to learn from you. Enlighten us by your word. In Jesus name, Amen. Amen. Let us kindly take our confession today from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the Lord shall not depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Today's message is a series titled Hearing from God. Hearing from God. And in the first part, we attempt to answer the question, does God still speak? Does God still speak? Our scripture reading shall be taken from Hebrews chapter 1 verse 1 to 2a. Hebrews chapter 1 verse 1 to 2a. I will be reading from the New Living Translation. Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our sisters through the prophets. And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son. The Lord add His blessings to the hearing and reading of His word. Thanks be to God. Amen. Hearing from God. Does God still speak? We have no trouble believing that God once spoke in times past to the prophets, apostles, and expressly through His Son Jesus who walked the earth. But beyond that, some wonder if He is still speaking now. Who last heard Him? And what did He say? In our day, statements of people declaring that they have heard from God only tend hurts and attract itching ears, but leave many doubting than believing. So we ask ourselves, if indeed God spoke to those who claim to have heard Him, why are there so many different opinions on the same subject? Why are there so many contrary directions? Why are there contradicting teachings and doctrines? Why are there so many questions yet unanswered? And why are we yet to see the manifestation of those words of prophecy spoken over our lives? And so many have passed the verdict that once upon a time God spoke, but no more in our days. Even if He did now, never too often does He speak. It is this question we attempt to answer in our devotional today. Does God still speak? Will the God of all the earth, who made everything in it, including the mouths by which we speak, not have one Himself? Will the one who started the conversation of the world, saying let there be and there was, have nothing more to say? Will the judge of all the earth just keep listening on in silence without having any ruling to pass in our daily affairs? Will the faithful God who promised that He would answer when we call, keep mute when we reach out to Him? I beg to differ. When we look at the hundreds of pages of scriptures, with each page expressing God's thought, sometimes speaking through angels, through men and even animals, it reveals His nature as one who has a lot to say. One who is overly concerned with the affairs of men. So why would He now, in our time, choose to stay silent? No, God still speaks. He still has a lot to say about you and me. He still has us at heart. The faithful Emmanuel has not abandoned us to our fate. Our God still speaks. Amen. Let us take our memory verse from Hebrews chapter 1, the verses 1 to 2a. Hebrews chapter 1, the verses 1 to 2a. I will be reading from the New Living Translation. Long ago, God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son. Amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Our faithful Father, who has never left us nor forsaken us, we thank you for the blessing of this word. For assuring us that you still speak even in our day, we receive grace to believe this word of truth. In Jesus' name. Amen. God mostly bless you for making time for today's morning glory devotion. As we step out today, what can that consciousness that God is not silent? He still speaks and is ever willing to speak to us today. Join us same time tomorrow as we dive deeper into the subject of hearing from God. Answering the question, who does God speak to? God richly bless you.
