Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. The theme for our devotion today is Try God. Try God. And we shall take a scripture reading from Psalm 18 verse 30. Psalm 18 verse 30.
Reading from the New King James Version. As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the Lord is proven. He is a shield to all who trust in him. Amen. Try God. Psalm 18 were words spoken by no other person than the servant of the Lord David on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hands of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. David was described by God as a man after his own heart.
He had worked with God and become so acquainted with his ways and nature. This is what he had to say about God. As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the Lord is proven. He is a shield to all who trust in him. Psalm 18 verse 30. David reveals to us two things about God that separate him from other gods and men. The first is that his way is perfect. To be perfect is to be precisely accurate, flawless, and faultless.
God's ways are perfect. Hallelujah. There is nothing defective in his methods and the way he goes about his business. He has a perfect plan in achieving and bringing to pass whatever he has spoken concerning our lives and ours is to trust that he will bring us to that glorious destination come what may. The path may not look like it. The process may not make sense to our mortal minds, but once God is in the driving seat, we can be rest assured that we are on the precise and accurate path to the fulfillment of our prophetic destiny.
Subscribe to his way. It is the perfect path for your life. The second truth that David reveals is that the word of the Lord is proven. God's word is absolutely reliable and flawless. They are as untainted as silver, purified in a furnace on the ground where it is thoroughly refined. Psalm 12 verses. Throughout the history of humanity, the word of the Lord has faced fierce opposition but stood the test of time. It has survived centuries and cultures and still remains and maintains its relevance.
Never has it failed all those who put their hope and trust in it and you will not be the first to record its failure in your life. If you stick to the word, you are bound to come back with a testimony. Precious one, we have a sure hope as believers. Our God has been tried and found faithful. Hang on to him and hold on to his word. You are on the right path to good success. Amen.
