It is a hostile response to violations of gender norms and challenges to the gender binary. Now, let's get into what exactly transphobia is. If you haven't heard of transphobia before, a couple of definitions to explain it would be a dislike of or strong prejudice against transgender people, negative attitudes, feelings or actions towards transgender people, and includes fear, aversion, hatred, violence or anger towards those that are trans.
