The livestock market in Oklahoma had steady prices for good cattle. The prices for feeder steers and bulls ranged from 3 to 7 dollars per pound. Top cows sold for $1,475 and cow-calf pairs for $1,350. There will be a consignment of Hereford cows next Monday, along with a set of mixed age cows. To contact the market, call 918-875-3131. This was the latest edition of Let's Walk the Pens on the Arklahoma Livestock Market News Service and Red Dirt 96.7. Oklahoma neighbor, welcome back to Granny Marble's Kitchen Table. I'm her good-looking grandson, Larry Marble. This is Let's Walk the Pens, Oklahoma Livestock Market News Service, Red Dirt 96.7 Budge, Herbert Fort Smith Stockyard's Budge. How did you sell them this last Monday? The very good cattle, the top-end cattle, would have been steady. Basically, you know, the little steers that were already steers and a couple round the shots and a few weaned calves that we had would have been steady. 3 to 350, feeder steers, feeder bulls, 3 to 350, 261 to 350, 250, 350 to 4, 235 to 256, 4 to 450, 255 to 350, 450 to 5, 230 to 301, 5 to 550, 208 to 282, 550 to 6, 210 to 269, 6 to 650, 198 to 249, 650 to 7, 208 to 273, 7 to 750, 177 to 253, little heifers, 3 to 350, 183 to $3, 350 to 4, 215 to 291, 4 to 452, 26 to 285, 450 to 5, 28 to 271, 5 to 552, to 251, 550 to 6, 191 to 253, 6 to 650, 193 to 237, 650 to 7, 173 to 235, 7 to 750, 174 to 229. Top cows sold them up to $1,475, cow-calf pairs up to $1,350. Slaughtered cow would have been $3 or $4 cheaper, threw out the cows, $110 would have been the best cow, $126 was the best bull. Do you know of anything for this next Monday? Yes sir, we've got a consignment of I think 75 Hereford cows, mainly 6-year-old cows, several of those cows will have Brantford babies on them, and they'll be bred back to Charlotte bulls, a nice set of Hereford cows, and a set of 45 mixed running age cows, they'll have a few pairs on those also. Well, you've got a good start to hopefully a great sale with good numbers this next Monday at Fort Smith. Bud, Herbert, tell everybody how to contact y'all. You can reach us on the barn phone at 918-875-3131, link to any of the three owners, please give us a call at any time. Well, that's all the time we've got for this edition of Let's Walk the Pens on the Arklahoma Livestock Market News Service and Red Dirt 96.7, 645 in the morning, 1245 at noon, be sure to take a glass of iced tea to go from Hop Seams Table, and have a good day.
