Nothing to say, yet
The speaker discusses the questions of identity and purpose, highlighting how many of us were told who we were and didn't have a choice in the matter. The negative words and criticisms we received growing up can impact our self-perception and limit our potential. However, the speaker empowers listeners to reject these lies and embrace their true identity as beings created in the image of God. By speaking positive truths about ourselves, we can cancel out the negative words and experience freedom. The speaker encourages listeners to believe that they are smart, wonderful, and capable of excelling in all areas of life. The moment we accept Jesus as our Savior, our identity is transformed, and we possess the power to speak life into our circumstances. The speaker concludes by inviting listeners to join them for future episodes of Faith Alive in 5, sponsored by Cheetah Pink Boutique. Welcome to Faith Alive, it's five, the five-minute gospel. I'm Dr. Faye, your host, and now for today's word. One of the most sought-after searches and questions that people have all over the world has been the same for eons, and that is, who am I? The number two is, why am I here? Who am I? Why am I here? Many of us human beings were brought up in environments where we were told who we were. We didn't get a choice to say, oh, I want to be, or I am. We were told who we were. Some of us have parents and educators that were a little bit more insightful and enlightened that would say, what do you want to be when you grow up, without criticism or judgment of that role. Some of us have parents who criticized it. I don't know which you had, but I am going to share something with you today that will empower you to move past it. Because whatever someone else said to you when you were in third grade, fourth grade, and told you that that was a dumb idea, that that's not something you should have aspired to do, then you have to get over them calling you dumb, because that's what a child hears when you say that's a dumb idea. They hear you calling them dumb, so they start dumbing themselves down. They don't live up to their ability and capability. The same thing happened with special needs adults or people who rely upon others to serve them. And when we bring words like dumb and stupid and crazy and ignorant and all of those words into that space, we are telling them that those are the things that they are. So I want to empower you, whoever you are, with tools today for the next couple of minutes, that you can use and prove all of that a lie, because it is a lie. You are called to this earth to be great. You are called to this earth to be fantastic, fabulous, marvelous even, because you have been created in the image of God. And when anyone, anywhere, at any time, tells you anything differently, because especially if it's a person with a voice of authority in your life, and they tell you that you're not this or you're not that, and they make you feel that way, because you rely upon them as the authority in your life. I've done it even in my adult life, whether it was in a coaching program or a pastoral position or minotaur or whatever it was, someone that I saw knew more than I did, so what they did influenced the way that I was thinking. And so without going deeply into that, because there's not enough time in Faith for Life, in fact, I want you to hear the sound of God within you. Know this, ladies and gentlemen, the moment you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, it changes everything. It changes your DNA, because Matthew chapter 1 tells us about the begets, and then he changes the story of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ, because we know that God changed the begets into him who has been begotten of the Father. So therefore, whatever you were called before, it no longer applies. You are smart. You are wonderful. Now, some people think it's prideful to say I'm wonderful. I'm great. I'm doing excellent. I'm doing marvelous. One of my favorite things that I said over years and still say it often is that I'm excellent, and people think that that's speaking in tongues of some foreign language, but the truth is that I excel in every area of life. I believe that I do. I know that I do. It's not just a mere confession. It is a possession. Do you see what I'm feeling here? I want you to know that you can say the same thing about yourself. You can feel the presence of power of words coming out of your mouth. Just as you felt the presence of power of words that were negative and held you in captivity, held you in bondage for all of these decades, speak the words that you want and not hear those sounds anymore. The way to cancel those words out is to begin to speak the things that are truth about yourself. These words are spirit, and they are life. Your truth will make you free, deliver you from captivity. So begin to speak the things about your life that you want to expand in your life. You want them to take up all the spaces in your life that I'm healthy, wealthy, wise, and holy. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Say these things that God is saying about you, because when God looks at you, he sees himself, because he created you in his image. You're breathing the breath of God, and God is being God through you right now. And because he's being God through you, you are unstoppable. Absolutely marvelous.
