The speaker is discussing her upcoming trip to Greece with her husband and children. She mentions the challenges of leaving on Easter when her children still believe in the Easter Bunny. She also talks about the difficulties of packing and preparing for the trip, including coordinating schedules, organizing meals and snacks for the kids, and making sure their school routines are taken care of while they're away. The speaker expresses frustration with her husband wanting her to pack his clothes and mentions that she didn't have time to buy new clothes for herself. Despite the challenges, she is grateful for the trip and is looking forward to sharing updates on her social media platforms. Welcome to another episode, guys. So I, oh my gosh, so I am leaving for Greece tomorrow, my husband and I are. And we've had the blessing of this wonderful, beautiful trip that is coming up. And it's a blessing and it's a curse all at the same time, and I'll tell you why, because we leave on Easter, and we have children, and they still believe in the Easter Bunny. So naturally, you know, we are, we had to prepare for that, right, like get everything together and make sure the baskets are ready to go. So while we're very excited, finally, about going, the downside of that is that we have to leave. So very, anybody who's a business owner or in some type of corporation where you can weigh in on when to take your President Club winners or whatever you may call it within the company on a trip, we don't do it on a holiday, okay? We could have easily just left on Monday. We didn't have to actually leave on Easter. I'm sure there was like, the cost of it and all that, you know, went into effect. But you know, let's just be a little, just a little tad like, you know, just open-minded about the fact of when planning these trips. Like, for your winners, the people who worked hard for you and you are providing this trip, you know, where it might sit, but you know what, my kids are going to be fine, it's not a big deal. Honestly, it all worked out. But it, you know, and they're fine, like they, you know, they are at a good age, they're still young, but they're excited to go to their Mimi and Pap Paps, they're looking forward to it. My youngest is going to be on spring break still. The other two are going back to school. But ladies and gentlemen, packing for this trip. And look, I know we all do it. We pack for our kids and we take them on vacations and I'm with you. We do it. We do it all the time. We have traveled up and down the East Coast. We have taken planes. Like, we have packed before. But there is something about this particular trip that just felt, it just felt exhausting, like preparing for it. It felt so, and I guess the reasons why were, my kids were on spring break, okay. I'm still working. My husband's still working. And we're planning and packing for this trip, but we're also preparing for our kids to go back to their normal lives when we're gone, right. So, their normal lives are school, getting their lunches. The one has a snack that she needs for her aftercare program, then they all play sports. They all play sports. There are practices. There are games. There are uniforms. There are sticks. There are balls. They're, you know, they're math guards. You know, they're cleats. And the weather, you know, it's like, it's going to be warm, so now it's like I'm pulling out all their summer clothes, but it might be chilly at night, so now we need hoodies and we might need pants. And then, oh, and then it's like, you need to let the teachers know, because now somebody else is picking them up after school, right, so I had to email the teachers, and then I had to let them know, and I had to let them know that they're on the emergency contact list, and I had to let the other school know that, you know, I had to give, that my youngest will be being picked up, but then my mother-in-law will need to text the aftercare program and let them know that she's arrived, so I had to give her the phone number. I had to make a list, because my kids are a pain in the ass, and they all eat different things, and my mother-in-law's amazing, but she, like, wanted to go out and buy all these things. She's like, oh, it's okay. Like, I'll just work. I'll get the food. I'll get the food. I'm like, that is so amazing. I was like, I love you so much. But I'm just telling you, let me bring most of it, because you don't know what monsters we created. Like, and we did this. Like, me and Adam created these very picky monsters, so I have this list. It's like, okay, Charlie and Luna will eat salami, no mayo, no mustard. Rylan will eat peanut butter sandwiches, no jelly. Charlie and Luna like string cheese, but Rylan does not. Charlie likes tomatoes, and she likes V8. Luna likes no fruits. Luna likes no vegetables. Rylan eats all fruits, all fruits of any kind. You know, juice boxes in their lunch to make sure there's an ice pack, because, you know, they don't eat lunch until later, and then, like, my youngest needs, like, an after-school snack, so you need to make sure you put a snack in front of her book bag, and then my youngest also needs two snacks before her lunch, so she has a Ziploc gallon bag that needs to go in with her lunch that she will need when she goes to school, and then my youngest has a uniform, and, you know, coincidentally, they're switching from winter to spring, so then she'll be wearing shorts, and so you need to just make sure she has some Ziploc on her, because if it's sunny outside, she's going to be outside for the hour, you know, after school. I'm thinking let her burn. Just kidding. Just kidding. It, and then, like, the girls have lacrosse practice, and then it just, it's, and that's just me talking about them, okay? That's just me talking about their stuff. Now, granted, my son's away. He's cruising. He's just cruising, living his best 13-year-old life ever, so God bless his soul, but then I'm, like, working, and, of course, like, I have, like, big meetings this week, but then I did, I did have a little fun on Tuesday. I went and saw my best friend and my other friend, and we, like, you know, just for one hour, an hour and a half, but I wasn't going to see them. I'm, like, I'm not going to see them for a week, you know, and then I'm not going to, and I never see them anyways. It takes us a month and a half to get together, so then I had to, like, well, I'm kind of complaining, but not complaining about that. That's obviously something I chose to do, but it was very fun and much needed, but besides the fact is that the week was just crazy. It was, it's been insane, and quite, to be quite honest with you, I couldn't even look forward to the trip. Like, I just had so much stuff to do, then I'll tell you, I did not pack until yesterday. I literally did not put anything together for myself, and then my husband's coming to me, and he's, like, I'm, like, he's, like, so, yeah, I think I'm going to wait until Saturday to pack, and I go, damn, no, you're, hell, no. You're not waiting until Saturday to pack. Like, Saturday needs to be, like, the odds and ends. Like, the, well, oh, like, we forgot, yeah, I'll run up and get that, or, oh, oh, like, a, like, a, do a, like, a double check, right? Like, a double check of the list. Like, okay, so we got this, this, this, this, this, like, you know, getting the kids showers night, making sure we have all of our stuff, making sure we're groomed, making sure we're shaved, making sure everything that we wanted to do, so when we get there, we don't, you know, we don't have to worry about. Like, that's what Saturday's for when you're leaving Sunday morning. Like, that's what Saturday's for, and I looked at him, and he didn't even, like, he knew. He knew not to even, like, say anything to rebuttal that, but what he does say, what he does say to me is he goes, well, I need you to, like, pick out my outfits, and I go, first of all, I never pack my husband's clothes. Never. No matter what I go, like, if we're going out, I'm like, oh, that looks good. I like that, honey. Like, that looks good. Good. Looking sharp, sharp, sharp, sharp, sharp. But the thing is, it's like, the thing is, like, what he wanted me to do is he, like, wanted me to go in and, like, put outfits together, and I go, you know what? This is what you need to do, Adam. This is what you need to do. You need to act like you're going out with the boys. Act like you're going out with the boys. What would you wear? Dress nice. Act like you're going to D.C. or New York, right, and you need to dress nice. You're going to be there for two days. These are things that he does already, and I don't help him with those things, so it's, like, why do you need my help all of a sudden? It's fine if you say, like, hey, bae, like, do you think this matches? Like, what do you think about this together? But you want me to come in and help you pick out clothes? It's just, I, like, laughed at him. I was like, you're kidding me, right? Like, and meanwhile, I'm, like, deep into Thursday by now. The house is a fucking mess. Like, nothing is done. I'm still working. I have not picked. Our house looks like a clothes bomb tornado went off. I mean, there's piles of clean clothes, dirty clothes, and, guys, you know how it is. It's, like, you're preparing yourself to go on vacation to also prepare yourself to come home to a clean house that's already prepared to start the week that you're about to get into. Does that make sense when I say that? Because that's what it is. It's, like, I'm washing clothes. I'm washing every ounce. I mean, if there's, like, a pair of underwear or socks that hit the dirty hamper, like, it's going into the washer because, like, everything's getting clean. And then it's, like, to, I'm just, like, looking at him, like, you've got to be kidding me. Like, that's not happening. Meanwhile, to add to that, to put the little whipped cream on top of the ice cream, I always go and buy myself, like, two new outfits for a trip, whether it's a vacation trip, whether it's a girl's trip, because I like the idea of just taking stuff that's new, I know exactly what I'm going to wear, and, like, roll with it. Because especially on a beach trip, like, you're wearing bathing suits, shorts, flip And then it's, like, you're going out one night, so there goes my new outfit. And then, like, maybe you just, like, buy, like, a little summer dress. And then I tell myself to make myself feel better that it's okay to buy these things because then I'm going to wear them again in the summer. This girl did not buy a gosh darn new thing for herself. Not one new thing. Not one new thing. Who did go buy some new things for himself? My husband. He's got, like, three new shirts, three new pairs of shorts, two other little jackets Oh, three new jackets, actually, now that I think about it. And, look, this trip is because he won President's Club. So I am all about him treating himself. And he literally does not buy himself clothes throughout the year. Meanwhile, I do. So this isn't, like, a bitch session about, like, oh, my God, he went and bought himself stuff. I'm mad at myself. I'm mad at me. Like, why didn't I go and buy myself something new? Whatever. It just wasn't meant to be. No big deal. But let's just go back to the fact that this man wanted me to, like, pack his clothes for him, pretty much. And I was like, hell no. You pack your shit. He was packed by, I think, Thursday night. Meanwhile, I had piles of, I had so many clothes all over the room that I slept on the couch Friday night. Because I literally did not want to go back into my room again, remove the piles for the fourth night to get on the bed because I was so damn tired. Like, I just didn't even do it. Like, and you know how it is when you're packing, right? You're laying out all things, especially when you're going somewhere where the weather's not consistent. Like, it's not like it's 80 degrees there and it's sunny. Not, not right now. It's like 60 on Monday with a chance of rain. 71 on Thursday, all sunny. It's going to be 63 on Wednesday with sun. It's like, I don't even know what to wear. I have, like, shorts and dresses and I have all these things. Plus, I had to take nice clothes because, because this is kind of like a work vacation celebration. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, we, we have dinners. Like, nice dinners. Because we're staying at the Four Seasons in Athens. So, that's right. Going to Athens, Greece, right? Staying Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Leaving Friday morning to fly to Santorini and then we'll be there Friday, Saturday, Sunday, coming home Monday. Meanwhile, I have no idea what the weather's going to be like. So, it's like, I have literally everything packed. I have everything from, like, golf cute dress to, like, tank top to a sweater to jeans to flats to heels to a bathing suit because we have a heated pool. I mean, it's insane. And I think that was just, like, the added on to this point. So, it is going to be fun. We're going to have a great time. Vacation packing absolutely sucks ass to its core. But, super blessed about this whole thing. But, it's like, does anybody hear me out there about packing for your kids and, like, preparing your life for when you come back? It's crazy, right? It's, like, insane. It's like, and then, I don't know how you guys are, but, like, I have to clean the house before we leave. Like, bathrooms, vacuuming, make sure everything's nice and clean so that when we come home, I'm coming home to a clean house. I can't possibly, like, leave the house looking crazy and then come home and have to, like, indulge in that because when we get home that Monday, it'll be midnight. Meanwhile, we're six hours ahead. So, our lives are going to be completely thrown off course. But, don't you worry. Your girl's going to have a good time. She'll be drinking some wine, wearing some cute outfits. But, the idea of packing and vacationing for family and kids is just wild. And I just hope you guys are here with me during this journey of pain. It's, like, it's a blessing in disguise. Like, you don't want to be ungrateful because there's people out there who don't get to take these trips. So, don't take it to that level. But, I know that there's people who are listening when it comes to just tripping in general. Like, just tripping with the family. Literally tripping with the family. It's, even, like, going away for a weekend. I'm sure you guys can feel my pain. Like, just, like, oh, we're just going to go to the beach for the weekend. I mean, it's not a big deal. Like, let's just go with, I mean, it's, even that process, it's just so much. But, this is, like, a whole game changer for me. Like, I really appreciate people, like, who, like, have this down to a science. Because, for whatever reason, I just was kind of thrown a curveball. And, it takes a lot for me to get thrown off. And, look, I got it done. It's done. House is in order. Bathrooms are clean. I am packed, ready to go. I'm drinking a Corona Seltzer right now. Mama is ready to go. But, it is just, whew, I mean, it was a lot. So, I don't know, guys. I just, I'm going to have a great vacation. I'm going to be posting pictures on my TikTok page, Never See Me Naked. So, I hope you guys are following me on that. Also, on my Instagram page, You Never See Me Naked Podcast. I hope I have those handles right. I probably don't. But, I'm sure you can follow, still find me. I am going to probably create an email address. So, if you guys ever want to email me or just DM me on my social pages. But, like, I want to hear from you. I want to hear, like, these day-to-day things that people, like, go through. And, while they're not, like, you know, world problems. It's just, like, does anybody feel, like, the pain of packing? Like, the pain of packing, the trip and family is, like, a really, it's a real thing. And, you know what, too? I think, too, it's just, like, it was probably me. Just, like, feeling like there was, like, how am I going to get all this done? How am I going to, like, work, have the kids on spring break? Because the kids are on spring break. And, that was another thing. I wanted to spend time with them. Like, I wanted to do things with them. So, it's, like, I didn't want to just, like, you know, because we're, not only because they're on spring break. But, because, also, we are going to be away. Right? So, there was just a lot of moving pieces. However, super grateful for this trip. Love you guys so much. Reach out to me. DM me, like I said. Hit me up on my social, Instagram, TikTok. Like, wait for videos. Wait for my posts. I'm going to post my cute little outfits, my cocktails. And, you know, everything I'll be eating there. Because your girl's going to eat. I can see the followers growing. So, keep listening to me. Let's keep getting naked. Until next time.
