But we can do something about it.
The WWF says that planting koala-friendly gum trees can help feed koalas in less than two years. Gums grow fast and provide homes for many wildlife species, including koalas. Planting now can ensure a future for our children. Spare land should be used for planting, not for knocking down trees. This will help improve Australia's situation. We are certainly not in the good corner on this one. There is good news though. The WWF say that if we plant koala-friendly gums, they're likely to be feeding these cuddly little beasts in less than two years. Gums grow extremely fast and can be homes for hundreds of wildlife species, including the dwindling population of koalas. It doesn't take decades. Plant now, they say, for a future for our children. If you have spare land, plant it out. Don't knock them down. And that should help to take Australia out of that naughty corner.
