How Do We Know God is Really There - The Churches in Revelation - By Michael Heiss - 01/19/24 Michael Heiss begins his discussion with the question of how we know that God exists and how we can be sure of His presence. He emphasizes the importance of faith and belief in this understanding. He cites verses from Romans, Habakkuk, and Hebrews that highlight the role of faith in pleasing God and believing in His existence. Hr. Heiss then discusses how humans have no way to detect spirit and how God reveals Himself to us. He references the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in John, where Jesus explains the concept of being born again and the inability to see the kingdom of God without being born of the spirit. The speaker further explores how God revealed Himself to people in the Old Testament through direct communication and manifestations. However, since the canonization of the New Testament, this direct communication is no longer seen. Despite this, the speaker asserts that God still communicates with us and asks the audience to consider how they have recognized His presence in their lives.
