Hi, today's hypnosis technique is going to be on the inner smile for stress management. Let's begin. I now invite you to sit back and relax into your chair. Sit comfortably with arms and legs uncrossed. Notice how comfortable and supportive you are in your chair. In synchronization with your out breaths, count from 1 to 5 slowly, and then allow your eyes to close naturally. Take some time to deepen. Breathe in 3 deep, slow breaths, and on the exhale, feel any tension leaving your body. Feel your body becoming more and more relaxed. When you are ready, return to your natural breathing. Become aware of your breathing pattern. Feel your body relaxing more and more. You are naturally and easily going deeper and deeper. Take a few moments to observe and experience each breath. Take a moment to imagine your lovely, peaceful space. Notice how safe and comfortable you are. When you are ready, find a place to just sit quietly. Soak in the peacefulness. Notice the sounds, the sights, and the feelings of this place. Settle in comfortably and become even more relaxed. Your mind wanders enjoying this experience, so go deeper and enjoy the process. Now imagine a loved one walking toward you with a big smile on their face. Pay attention to your natural response to this smile. Take this smile into your heart and let it permeate every part of it. With every beat of your heart, let this smile begin to spread throughout your body, circulating and nourishing every part of your body through your bloodstream. Allow this smile to move into your feet and up into your ankles, calves, and thighs. Let it move into your hips and pelvic region, healing and nourishing every organ and muscle. As your heart beats, allow this smile to fill your belly. With every breath, feel the smile move into your chest and ribcage, filling your lungs with the warmth of this smile. Imagine this warm, appreciative smile overflowing now into your shoulders and down your arms, all the way into your fingertips. Let this smile move and penetrate through the muscles of your neck, softening all parts of your throat and neck. With every breath, feel the smile spread into your own mouth and lips. As you smile, notice how your whole face smiles too, even your eyes. Let this smile penetrate into your brain, allowing your brain to transmit it to all parts of your body through the nervous system, moving throughout every muscle, tissue, and organ of your body. Let your body and being smile. Receive the well-being within you now. Prepare to return to the present time and place, knowing you can bring with you the benefits you've received here.
