They express excitement to hear what Lee and Lisa have to say. Hey, this is Patrick from Tennis Andronicus, and you're listening to the Hoodrat Recap Podcast. That hunk with the mustache who brought us our breakfast never came back with a check on our third day of driving with no expectations except some vague sounds of the woods cause he got bored So we started a podcast about the best bar band in the land, man This is the Hoodrat Recap, and we are back with a steady stream of the Unified Scene all the news and reviews of the band that you love, we love Are you guys like me? Do you wish the indie bands would get in beef just so we could get a new diss track every 40 minutes? I mean, I would do it just for the new songs alone, right? Hello everybody, this is stage right mic on the mic and I can talk hold steady all night and when I like to talk hold steady heavy I threw up the rat signal, and just like that the Hoodrat Pack has assembled and right now I can see the court gestures running by I can hear the trumpet music so that means it's the Unified Scene's very own King of Queens Gasper, Gasper, how you doing today? I'm doing pretty good, Mike, but you know what? I've been trying to get people to call me Imagine Dragons Why's that, Gasper? Because I'm on top of the world How's that working out for you? Not so good, not so good People keep calling me a men at work Well, because I'm living in Atlanta, aren't I? It's funny, because I'm going, who can it be now? But you really are just a mistake I really hope you choke on a Vegemite sandwich before this episode is over, because I mean, our listeners deserve so much better I mean, we were in trouble when you started with Imagine Dragons because I'm like, what does this have to do with the hold steady? and then you went to men at work who I do like and really, I just loathe them I mean, we have to tip our hat to they're in Australia right now as we record this and the FOMO is real, I didn't go to Australia But that's the sound of our producer and our third mic Kevin is whatever, Kevin, how you doing out there? I'm wonderful, I wish I was anywhere but on this podcast right now after that Freddy Knuckles I would love to be in a land down under, really, anywhere I'd be under a truck if I knew that was coming Where else can you go for your daily alabit of men at work puns? I mean, this is what we do, people We're glad you're listening because we're starting off on a bang here today but if you keep listening beyond that and you didn't tune out we do have a really cool episode today We got a chance to chat with Lee and Lisa who do a lot of work with the hold steady that Gaspar met at the Weekender shows Yeah, a lot of the images that you've seen on the Facebook group and out there, some of the coolest stuff is coming from them so it was really kind of cool to talk to them I was pretty excited about that and wanted to give a quick shout out to Mike from Roanoke who, this was his idea when we were in England and we were at the guitar workshop, I believe and he saw them taking some shots, he leaned in and he's like, that's who you gotta talk to so Mike, this one's for you Yeah, it was great to chat with them because for the listeners that don't know people that got the Gospel of the Hold Steady book the cover photo is Lisa's and the back cover was Lee's we learned during the conversation plus if you've seen the Grand Junction video that's also Lee's work so you may not realize how much you know these two individuals in the world of the Hold Steady Yeah, that Grand Junction video gives me goosebumps so let's get into it, let's see what these guys have to say Alright, let's do it Alright
