Tanisha Rother believes that social media should be used in classrooms, particularly platforms like YouTube. She gives an example of how her child's teacher used YouTube videos from Jack Hartman to engage students in learning. Tanisha argues that since younger generations are interested in social media and electronics, incorporating these platforms into classrooms can make learning more enjoyable and encourage active participation. She believes that certain social media sites can be effective tools for education. Hello, my name is Tanisha Rother and today I will be discussing whether or not I think that social media should be used in classrooms. My stand on this topic is yes, social media should be encouraged in the classroom from social media sites. For example, YouTube. One of my kids' teachers would play Jack Hartman's videos from YouTube and he would come home and play those same videos and dance along and sing along to those videos and he would learn what the teacher was trying to teach him through those videos. In this day and time specifically, the younger generation is into social media apps and electronics. So yes, this is a good way to encourage active learning and a fun way of learning for them. They'll want to participate, so yes, some social media sites should be used in the classroom because they are very effective.
