Y'all in trouble now because I already saw him looking up in the corner, which to me is always very stunning. Oh my God. Welcome to Word of Mouth Podcast. It is with Nate and Shelby. This is the reboot. We are back in the building and we're going to talk about some good stuff today. Before Shelby even said a word, me and her have been sitting here probably for the last 30 to 45 minutes just pow-wowing. Is that a word? Pow-wowing? Yeah. Yeah. We'll go with it. Pow-wowing. We've been going back and forth, man, talking about just this amazing book that's presented to us so that we can live out our lives in a way that was just given to us to live by. We're going to talk about it today. It may be a little uncomfortable. It may ruffle some feathers, but- Never. We never do that. But we're going to be honest. We ain't scared. We ain't scared. We're going to be open and we're going to be transparent and we're going to have a good time. And it might bounce all over the place, who knows? It does. Holy Spirit. Yeah. It's already here. It's all out of your way, sir. Man, I'm excited. Shelby, I want to talk about a couple of things. First off, how are you doing? I'm great. It is so beautiful outside today. It is. How are you? It's sunny and beautiful. I'm good. I'm great. I'm always great to be in your presence, man, because you're just awesome. So, I thank God for you. Alrighty. Today, let's talk about sin. Let's talk about sin. What is sin? Anything that goes against the Word of God, basically. Boom. Thank you. Sin is that thing that's contrary. Sin behavior. To no one. Can it be considered right or wrong? Yeah. Okay. Good or bad? Yeah. Okay. Well, nowadays, we don't have right or wrong. Oh. Oh. Whatever makes you feel good, do it. Oh. Or whatever you. It's okay. It's okay. Whatever's best for you. I've heard that before. Huh. There's no, you know, line in sin. My God. Okay. She's starting already, because I can flow right there. There's no line in the sin no more. Now, why did the line in the sin? Where did that come from, Nathan? You want to start? Yes, I do. Let's start right there. Where did the line in the sin come from? Let's go. Okay. Do people know where the line in the sin came from? Let's go. Let's get it. All right. So, there was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. It was a line in the sin. So who's sinless? I'll wait. Well, he died on a cross, so he's not here in the flesh anymore. I mean, he's here, but... Are we? We didn't die on the cross. Say that again, please. We did not. We didn't. We did not. And we need him. We need him more than ever. I can't go through the day without at least committing one sin, whether it's thoughts... Just one. Man, I'm in trouble. Sheb, no. It ain't just one for me. I'm talking on the mic now. I'm in trouble. But, honey, we fall short so many... It's secondly for me. It's secondly. But I stand repentance. And that's why I want to talk about repentance. Repentance is a major thing. To repent is to go back to that thing in which was set in place for you. When I repent, I go back to the top. I go back to the beginning. I go back to that place of God saying, hey, I'm going to give you another chance. And with God giving you another chance, you good? He gives you another chance, and he cleanses you and washes you as white as snow. We pray that we don't do it again. However, we're still part of the system. So I know I'm going to fall short, but I'm trying to get it right. Who had the thorn in their flesh? Paul. You ready to talk about it? Yes. That was a scripture that I saw when we started, but I was going to go there later. But let's go ahead. Okay. And what was the word that he got about that thorn in the flesh? So we're in Corinthians, y'all. Paul said, hey, God, can I get you to remove this? Now, Paul was a sinner. A sinner. You know his name was Paul, right? He was a sinner. He said, God, I need you to do something for me. I need you to take this thorn out of my flesh. This was after he became Paul. Yes. He found God and went, oh. Yes. He said, I need you to take this thorn out of my flesh because I keep doing the same thing over and over again. Don't miss that part. Yes. That's what I'm trying to point out. I keep doing the same thing over and over again. Like, I don't want to be this way. Actually. Thank you. Holy Spirit. I'm going to go back to Romans chapter seven in one minute. So Paul said, hey, I need you to remove this thorn because I keep doing the thing over and over again. And God said to him, this is scripture. God says, that's impossible because my grace is sufficient. I'm going to look up what the word sufficient means. And she's looking at her. Hear me, you all. Hear me. When God said to Paul, I cannot remove the thorn, he was basically saying, I sent my son to die for you. So this thorn reminds me of how I had to send my son because you live in a system that you're going to fall short all the time. And you're going to need my son blood for you to be washed and cleansed as white as snow. The way I forgive. I'm not man. I don't forgive like man. Man will hold that thing against you. God, I'm going to forgive you and throw it into the sea of forgiveness to never remember it again. What does sufficient? The first one is being as much as is needed, adequate or enough. But the third one, I think, is awesome. Equal to the end proposed. Equal to the end proposed. To the end. To the end. That means there's nothing else. My grace seals it. Yep. That's it. Yep. Grace. Psalms. 103. Because I was already. Oh, well, actually, that's a good one. I want to go back to that one. What about Psalms 23? Oh, yeah. Grace and mercy. So follow me all the days of my life. I should dwell in the house of the Lord forever. That's that's grace. His grace is sufficient. He seals it. It's done because of grace. We're going to sin, people. We're going to sin no matter what. We're going to sin. This is what Paul said in the book of Romans, chapter seven. And you can go ahead and read it. It says, the thing that I did not want to do, I found myself doing. Now, why? Lord, I can relate to that. Nothing you relate to that. Let's talk about it. Oh, my gosh. The thing that you didn't want to do. I did it anyways. You did it. So when you didn't want to cuss them out, you cuss them out. When you didn't want to get upset. Well, if I'm being honest, it wasn't that I didn't want to. I love you. That's transparency, y'all. Y'all hear me? That's transparency. That's all you're going to get from me. You will get 100% truth. Listen, she said it. I actually wanted to cuss him out in all kind of languages. However, I thank God for grace. Because if it wasn't for grace and its twin sister, mercy, I know I'd be gone. Well, and I want to. So we talked about this earlier because Lord knows I can't pull up addresses. But Nathan is like the king of address city over here. So Psalm 103 says, Who forgives all your sins? All. All your sins. That means the ones you repeat. That means the ones you did without knowing. That means the ones you did intentionally. That means all. It doesn't say just a few. It doesn't say the ones under these certain parameters. It says all, people. All. All. We need to drop the mic button. That's it. It's all. All. It's not in between. It wasn't some because the other ones were too deep or some were too, you know, you shouldn't have committed that nice. Or you did it umpteen thousand times and you should have figured it out by now. All. It says all. It also says it heals all your diseases. All people. And how, how would that sound? How did it start off? Like it started off with praise. Praise the Lord on my soul. I'm giving you praise God because you forgive all my sins and you heal all my diseases. All. All. I'm giving you praise for this. Because if you were like man, I wouldn't get the same thing. It'd be too peopley. So God, I thank you for forgiving all of my sins. I mess up daily. I repent daily. But God, I thank you that you're not like that, that you just hold that stuff against me. And sometimes, and let me go ahead and say to some people that may have been holding on to something so long because you think God hasn't forgiven you. God forgave you once you said, God, I'm sorry. He forgave you right then and there. You're holding on to it now. Yeah, I think that we don't forgive ourselves way more than God ever has considered it. Come on. First of all, understand you're not God. Thank you Jesus. Amen. Secondly, when God forgives you, it's not one of those things that you're going to get a confirmation in an email. You're not going to get a confirmation text. Yeah. God is saying it's a done deal. Now, it's hard because you think based on what you've done, you think that you can't be forgiven for that thing. No, you think there's a penance. And there's even some religions that teach you there has to be a penance. Jesus was the penance. That's why you say repent. Wow. Repentance. Wow, he was the penance. Oh my God, that's so good. We get so caught up in the sin that we think that it's the most worst thing that you've done. And you become, in your mind, you become God saying or thinking that he'll say this. Yeah, you messed up. You're done forever. God is not a guy like that. No, and that's condemnation. And the word says there is now no condemnation. None whatsoever. Going back to what Paul said. Paul said, God, can you get this thing out of my flesh? Notice he said out of my flesh. Because what sins is your flesh? Because, again, the system allows your flesh to go through this metamorphosis of thoughts and ways and actions and stuff like that. So you can't get rid of that thing that your soul lives in. It's going to mess up completely. And you have to understand, because you do sin, you don't have to think that your resting place is hell. And can I just, the reason we're talking about this was that Nathan and I had a conversation because I think there's two different points of thought in the Christian religion. And one is that you're saved and you're good and you're going to sin and that's okay because it's all about the love of Christ. And it's all about what he did on the cross. But then we have another kind of faction that says, well, you're saved, yes. No one can take your salvation away from you. But if you sin, you're going to hell. Wait a second. You just negated the first statement that you said that I'm saved. And no one can take my salvation. So that's where we started this conversation. And I do think that there are those two thoughts out there. And people take sides on it. And so that's why we started talking about this. But if you read the word, there's so much in the word that talks about his forgiveness and talks about all sins and talks about there's no qualifications of. And, you know, in Ephesians, for it is by grace you have been saved through faith, not by works so that no one can boast. Not by work. It's not by anything we do. We can't pay for it. No, we can't do anything about it. It's only a gift from him. So that's where this conversation really started from. Absolutely. One of the first scriptures I gave her off. Mike was in Romans 6 and 23. It says the wages of sin is death. And we understand that because there's a wage wages mean you payment. It's a pain. Thank you. God, I love this lady. It's a payment. You just got paid for the work that you've done. That's your payment. But I got a gift for you. Now, this gift is freely given because whom the son set free. Hello, free. Indeed. I got a gift for you. You don't have to work for this. Ephesians 2. You don't have to work for this. I got a gift for you. I'm going to give you my son. That gift is eternal life. I'm going to give you my son. So when I look at now the book of Ephesians and it says, for by grace, for by grace, are we saved through faith? I get now that it's only because of God's grace. That I'm still here that we're all still here because it's grace because we are not going to get it right all up for the rest of our lives perfectly. If we were going to be perfect, we wouldn't need Jesus. That's right. And like you were saying, for the wages of sin is death. And there's a lot of preachers that will preach that wages of sin is death. The wages of sin is death. You're condemned. You're going to go to hell. But they forget the second part of that verse. But yes, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. My God, that's a big butt. Preach on the butt. Come on. There's some butts that are really important. Yes. And that's one of them. That's one. That's definitely one. And that's where, you know, you can't you have to read verses in their whole. You can't pick and choose. Yes, I agree. Because, yeah, if you want to condemn somebody, you can by saying, well, the wages of sin is death. And that's what the word says. And you know how you and I were talking about how the enemy can tweak the word. Don't you think he loves that verse right there? And we'll make like the whole Bible ends at that. Yeah, exactly. Nothing else. Exactly. But there's a butt devil, a big old butt. And we thank God for the butt. And it's the butt that the devil hates the most. The gift of God. That is Jesus Christ. Yes. Because that's what put the devil in his place. All the time. Have to be a butt after my story, because my story says I fell short yesterday. My story says I sinned last week. My story says. Last week? Last minute ago. Driving here. Right. All of the above. I keep messing up. Like Paul said in Romans 7, the thing I didn't want to do, I kept doing that thing over and over again. Whether it was a thought, whether it was an action, whatever it was, I kept messing up. But God, I thank you for your grace. Right. And that's iniquity. When it talks about iniquities in the word, it's the sinning repetitively. The same sin over and over again. Because he knew we were incapable of avoiding that. Like we're going to commit one sin and that's it. Yeah. No, it don't work like that. Ladies and gentlemen, it don't. And my philosophy is that once you truly give your life to God, give your life to Christ, and you acknowledge that he died for your sin and all that, and he rose again, you get imported by the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit will guide you, shape you, mold you every day of your life. Now, is your journey done? And are you perfected any time that you're living on this earth? No, you're not. You're perfected when you go home with Christ. That's the day you get perfection. But you will not achieve perfection in this world. You're never going to. But that's the Holy Spirit's job is to mold us into who we're supposed to become. Yes. And it's a daily, hourly. Secondly. Yes, journey. Yes, God. Which means we will not be sin free until we're perfected and until we're home. In my opinion. Can I repeat that? We will not be sin free. Yeah. Can I say it one more time? Because some of the people in the back didn't hear me. We will not be sin free. As long as we live on this earth. I don't care how many titles you get. I don't care what you change your name to. Even when. Now, this was after Saul, because Saul was rough. His name was already changed. He had already been blinded, sitting on the road of Damascus. I had already been reconstructed, renewed, restored, redeemed, all of the above. He still went back to God and said, God, can you get this thorn out of my flesh? This was after me. Oh, my God. After all the real big time sin was going on. Yes. He still said, can you get rid of this? My grace is sufficient. It's sufficient. When Jesus told the guys, when he wrote in the sand, he said, if you don't have any sin, go ahead and kill him. And I think what we're doing right now in a psychological way, when we talk about sinners are going to hell, what we're doing is we're grabbing these big boulders and bricks and rocks, preparing to get ready to stone someone, thinking that we are not sinners. Holier than thou. Yes. Thank you for that. That we are holier than thou, that we are, that we got the right to grab a boulder and go stone somebody. You don't. No. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. Repentance. No. Remember the line in the sand. Remember that. Please remember the line in the sand. And I know we've talked about this before, but are there degrees of sin? Is one sin worse than another? Jill, to me, if one sin was greater or smaller, then Romans 6, 23 wouldn't be what it meant. Because it says wages of sin. It lumped them all into one group. It lumped it all. Thank you. It lumped them all together. Whether you're a liar. Or a murderer. Murderer. Whatever category it falls in, it's a category. It's a category of sin. Cheat. It's sin. There's still a gift. And that gift comes from God. The ultimate gift. Thank you. Came straight from God. He said, I'm going to send my son. And through him, through him, I was years ago, I was talking to a bunch of kids, and I kind of broke a scenario down for kids to understand who Jesus was. And going through Jesus, we were talking to a bunch of kids. And we were talking from the book of John, chapter 14. And it says that I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes unto the father, but by me. And I was talking to these kids, and I was expressing to them, but I had to break it down in an analogy that they would understand it. And so I created a courtroom. And in the courtroom, you have the state's attorney. That's the enemy, because they always get charges against you. And then you have the public defender. Ooh, don't miss this. The public defender. And you have the ultimate judge. That's God. He's sitting in the judge seat. And in this particular courtroom, the attorney got up. The state's attorney got up, and he said, hey, because we're the one that's on trial. Us as believers. This person did. Shelby messed up yesterday. What? Shelby cussed out so-and-so. She never did. Shelby got pissed off at this person just two hours ago. Shelby. Stop listing all my stuff. Call me out. But this is what Satan does to God. Oh, I know. Believe me. Having this conversation saying, this is what your daughter has done. And he lists out everything you've done in 24 hours. Wow. It's a whole list. Oh, sure. There's a big list. Oh, sure. 24 hours. Big list. So he's listed all these things about you. And he says, OK, she's convicted. Like, convict her now, because these are all truth. This is facts, man. This is facts. Like, I got it on on recording. That she cussed this person out. The neighbor or the person on I-40. Whatever it is, I got proof that she did it. And so the public defender, by way of Jesus, says, you're right. She did. She did all of these things. And I was teaching the kids, and they were like, OK, what's the meaning? The public defender got up. He said, yes, you're right. But what you missed is that there was, a shield of blood that covered every single thing that you just announced. That once it get to the judge, all he see is blood. God Almighty. All he see is his son's blood that was shed on a cross. There's nothing else that says how much she done done this, that, that, and this, and this, because you're absolutely right. But all God sees is blood. And he says, you're right. You're right. You're right. You're right. You're right. You're right. You're right. But all God sees is blood. That was shed on a cross. And the blood says, for our sins, for our sins. And the blood says, for the remission of the sins. It's the remission. It washes away. The old hymn says, what can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. And the kids understood that. And the kids understood that in such a profound way. And I wanted to share it today, because I think that we forget that the blood has covered us. It's the remission of our sins. It's done through repentance. Because I promise you, the enemy is right. We mess up. And he helps us. He guides us, actually. Some of us, listen. I'm not outing myself, but some of us pay attention to that voice, and we just do it. However, as David said, man, God created me a clean heart. He knew my spirit. I messed up. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, God. And God says, I don't see nothing but blood. Yeah. What are you looking at? What are you looking at? I don't see nothing but blood. And we condemn ourselves now, because we're constantly looking at the same. God says, I told you, I don't see nothing but the blood. So, does this mean we have a free pass? No. Mr. Brown. No. Thank you for saying that. And let's put some context. Can we just go do whatever we want, willy-nilly? Woo! Willy-nilly. I like that. The willy and the nilly. Let's put some context to it. Have you ever burned your hand on a stove? Yeah. Okay. The way you burned your hand on that stove, when the fire started, of course, you used the stove again. You had to use the stove again. But did you burn your hand again the same exact way? No, because it hurt. Because it hurt. Because it hurt. Now, you're still using the stove. Yeah. However, you won't burn it again that way. You can probably do it a different way. You probably burned your hand maybe twice, three times, however many times you burned your hand. You probably burned your hand twice. You probably burned your hand three times. You probably burned your hand four times. You probably burned your hand five times. You probably burned your hand six times. You probably burned your hand seven times. You probably burned your hand eight times. You probably burned your hand nine times. You probably burned your hand 10 times. You probably burned your hand 11 times. So, to put context to that, sometimes we have to understand that you don't get a free pass to just sin knowing that you know that Jesus died for your sins and his blood is going to wash away all your sins. There's a level of maturity that says, I'm not going to keep doing it. Like, your mind tells you, by way of the Holy Spirit, I'm not going to keep doing it. Like, your mind tells you, by way of the Holy Spirit, I'm not going to keep doing it. And so, sometimes we have to understand that you don't get a free pass to just sin knowing that you know that Jesus died for your sins and his blood is going to wash away all your sins. There's a level of maturity that says, I'm not going to keep doing it. Like, your mind tells you, by way of the Holy Spirit, and you spoke about it earlier. And conviction. And conviction. The Holy Spirit will really say to you, hey, nah, you don't want to. Yeah, wreck yourself before you wreck yourself. Come on, come on. Nate, you don't want to go over, this is my past. You don't want to go over her house again. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Don't go back over there. Okay, everybody got quiet on that part. I don't know why. But it's the conviction of the Holy Spirit that allows you to say, well, yeah, I don't want to do that no more. Unless you just completely shut everything off to God. And then that's kind of weird if you're shutting your whole self off to God, but you want to. But yet you're saying you're a believer. Yeah, it's kind of weird. So this is not the free pass type of thing. Please hear me, ladies and gentlemen. You don't get a free pass to keep doing what you're doing. Anytime you know that you have been forgiven for something, nine times out of 10, you're going to keep doing it. And a repeat offender, in which we talk about the iniquities, a repeat offender will continue to understand that, yeah, I can't keep making the same mistake. And eventually one day it's going to click and it's going to stick. I love it. She's been rhyming for the last couple of weeks, y'all. It's going to click. It's going to stick. It's going to click. It's going to stick. So that's not the free pass. That says conviction is real, not condemnation. No. But conviction. We are all convicted because we all fall short. But it's not a free pass to keep doing what you're doing. I wanted to put context to it because Shelby asked about it. So, yeah, it's not your free pass. Lastly, I do want to kind of bring this up. I don't know everybody's mindset on how you understand what sin is. Sin is the thing that is contrary to the truth or what God has told you not to do. It's the opposite. And when you do the opposite, that's sin. Okay? Yes. The context of it. We all fall short in that area. Yes. Because we do know there is truth to something. I know it's truthful in my head not to be angry at the things that I get angry about. And I get angry. I do get angry. You heard me. I do get angry. You're allowed to get angry. You just can't react in your anger. Yes. Yes, react in your anger. That's the part that I fall short at. Even the Bible says, be angry but don't send behind the anger. I send behind the anger. Yes. You're not alone. So if we understand that, that's why we all need Jesus because we will continue to fall prey to these normal systematic things that take place in the world every day. Well, in this world right now, it's trying to convince us that sin is not sin. What is it that sin is? A practice or some type of a will? What is it? I don't even think it wants to talk about sin because if you don't talk about it, it don't exist. Oh. So it never addresses the elephant in the room. No, even though. We gloss over it. Yes. We never want to talk about it. Okay. That's what the culture is now. Don't say nothing. I think. Don't you? I think that's at least what the media is showing us. Absolutely. That's true. Don't say nothing about it. And if you don't say nothing, it don't exist. No, it's not. Because we live in a world of acceptance. And you can be whatever you want to be nowadays. Y'all know Shel real now. She'll say what she wants to say. Buckle up. You could tell it was coming. I saw it. I'm looking at your eyes. Buckle up. She'll say it. Buckle up, people. And because we live in this type of place, you got to know, God, we need you. We need you more now than ever. And we're not going to cast people out because they keep messing up. No, and I want to say that confusion. Come on. Where does confusion come from? The pit of hell. If you're confused about your gender, baby, I'm not going to say it's your fault. But I'm going to tell you that there's something on you that is no and is working you like a hooker works a pole. I quit. You're right. You're right. Like white on rice. Yes. There you go. There you go. The Bible says God is not the author of confusion. He didn't write the book of confusion. And if you find yourself in a space or mindset of confusion or cloudiness or you're completely cluttered, then that's not of God. Because God is a committed God. And once you commit to him, then literally the Bible says that he will lead you and guide you into all truth. This is a God that will put you on the path of righteousness for his namesake. This is a God that loves us so much that he will tell us exactly where to go. Won't force you. But he'll put you on this path. Say, hey, take the right. Now go left. And there's your destination. And even if you go right when he told you to go left, he'll meet you in the middle. Over there. And then he'll stir you back over where you belong. Come on. And I'm going to say that I just got convicted that I should not have said what I said about the pole situation. I should have used the white on rice. The white on rice is good. Y'all just know that the Holy Spirit works on me. Come on. When I speak out these things. Come on. You know how powerful that was for her to catch that and say the Holy Spirit convicted her? Now she's not in condemnation. She said the Holy Spirit convicted her. In that, she understands, okay, thank you, God. Yes, forgive me for. I can't go that route. I have to steer this route. And I'm going to say it on air, on mic to say, hey, I'm convicted too. Y'all got to remember, ain't neither one of us perfect. Well, we've talked about that sin and fall short. I just fell. We all. Just a little second ago. But it's a continual thing, though. You can't tell me you don't need Jesus every second. Yes, and we are all works in progress. Yes. And with us being works in process, please let us convey to you that everybody, everybody needed. It's not those that if you've been told that your sin is going to send you to hell. I want to tell you that that's not true. I'm going record to say that's not true. You can be forgiven. Don't keep doing that thing. Allow conviction to set in so strongly to where once it sets in, you'll change. You will change. I talk about this a lot, but Michael Jackson did write a song. And it was, I think the lyrics to it. The chorus says, I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways. No message can be any clearer. If you want to make this world a better place, you really have to look at yourself. Start with you. And make the change. Understand that sin is not condemnation. You be convicted, accept the conviction, learn from the conviction, and turn from your wicked ways. I'll end with one last scripture. Can I get you to read this? I have to say something. I'm going to get you to read this. Well, no, but I have to say something because the Holy Spirit just put this on me. Please. So I think that we're at this point in life, in our society, in our culture, in the world where the word says men are going to be lovers of themselves. And right is going to be wrong, and wrong is going to be right, and everything is going to be flip-flopped. So as a new believer, if you're a new believer, anything that the world is really rah-rah about right now, you need to believe the opposite. Because the world is rah-rah about a lot of things that go against the word of God. And the devil is making it so that it seems really beautiful and happy, and it's the right way to go or it's the right thing to do or whatever. It is not. So whatever you're seeing in the media or whatever you're seeing in your face that is really looking fancy and pretty and all dressed up, that's not the truth. Look at the opposite. I don't know who that's for, but we need to be focusing on the opposite of what the world is putting in our face. I'll present a scripture to back up what she said. 2 Corinthians 4 verse 18. It says, while we look not at the things that are seen, but the things that are not seen. Shelby said those things. We fix our eyes on the things. Come on. She just said, be careful looking at that natural thing that looks the part so appealing to the eye that you get caught up because you're looking at it from a natural standpoint, but you're not seeing beyond what you really need to be looking at. That scripture says, don't look at the things that are seen, but the things that are not seen. Fix our eyes, not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. Read the rest of that. Fix our eyes, not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. Since what is seen is temporary. She just said, which means it goes away. Come on, come on. But what is unseen is eternal forever. This is why when the Holy Spirit began to download and drop stuff in his spirit, we flow off each other because you're speaking scripture. You're speaking scripture. Everything that you just said, but, you know, the address is good. We bouncing. That's right. That's why we're team. Thank you. Holy Spirit. There was one more scripture that I wanted to bring out in context, understanding that once you do sin, there's a process that takes place. Second Chronicles. Old Testament. I was going to say you go in the Old Testament. But look how powerful this is because Second Chronicles actually presents repentance before you even see Jesus. Watch this. Second Chronicles chapter seven. We're going to start at verse 14. Now, remember, it doesn't say if you're a Christian, chapter six is really long. It doesn't say if you're a Christian. Verse 14 says, if my people go ahead and read that for me. If my people who are called by my name, this is what we need to pray over our country. Come on. First, they got to do what? What's the first thing? Called by my name. Yeah. Well, humble themselves. Yeah. Humble. Yes. So, you know that you've sinned. Understand that you are. We are his people. We are his people. We're called by his name. He created us. So, we first have to humble ourself. That means get quiet. If you got to separate yourself from some things, from some entities, whatever it is that caused you to do that thing. First thing you have to do is humble. What's the second thing you have to do? Pray. Pray. Now, when you humble yourself, when you get into that quiet space or that quiet time, then prayer will be easily done. Because now you've had some space to not hear all a bunch of voices that it becomes so chaotic. Now, you can hear yourself even crying out to God. So, that's your second move. After you humble yourself, you pray. And then what's the third thing? Seek my face. Seek. Now, after prayer, because first you're acknowledging in your prayer, God, I messed up. God, I'm sorry. God, I shouldn't have did that. God, you know your boy. He messed up. He messed up. Now, I'm seeking you, God. I'm seeking you in a way that, OK, what is your instructions? Because I keep falling prey to this. What is it that you want me to do? So, I have to seek you now, not seek everybody else's. I'm not going to Google. I'm going to God. That's a post. I'm going to do that one. I'm not going to Google. I'm going to God. I'm not going to Pornhub. I'm going to the Bible. OK. All right. So, we're here. We humble ourself. We pray. We seek his face. And this last part is probably the most powerful. Then after we seek. Turn from our wicked ways. When conviction sets in, show. That's why we thank God we cannot condemn people to hell for sin because they can turn. Yeah. That's repentance. Turning. Jesus is not there yet. This is talking about repentance in 2nd Chronicles 7. Just now turn from your wicked ways. And once you do that, there's some stuff, which you'll see right there, how some greatness come about after you do those four steps. What happens after that? You will hear from heaven. And what else? You will forgive their sin. You can't argue with the Bible. You can't argue with the Bible. And I believe they talk about healing some stuff too, right? And I will heal their land. Y'all, we need to pray that over our country. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name. I want to give those four steps. Humble. Pray. Seek. Turn. In Jesus' name. I have to end in prayer because it was put on my heart that I have to end every one of these in prayer. Heavenly Father, we just humble ourselves before you, Lord. We thank you for this time together. We thank you for the ears that are listening. We pray for softened hearts, Lord. We pray that the truth would enter into those hearts, Father. That they would be sealed off to manipulations and lies. Any tactics from the enemy, Lord. That they would be untouchable. Covered in your blood and sealed in the blood of the Lamb. Pray, Father, that broken hearts would be mended. That hurts from the past would be left in the past and forgotten just as you forget our sins, Lord. And we pray, Father, that we just speak life over everyone listening. We speak Jesus over everyone listening. Because that name holds so much with power, with blessing, with everything. And, Lord, we know that you have angels working for us, Father. But you've put on my heart that we have to be mindful to loose those angels from words we have spoken. Or from actions that we have done that have bound them up. So we loose them, Father, so that they can go forth ahead of us and clear our paths of danger. And they can work your ways in our life. And, Father, we just thank you for every listener. We thank you for every believer. We pray for those who have not found you yet, Lord. That someone would speak into them and that their scales would fall off their eyes. And you would be revealed to them, Lord. And they would ask you into their hearts. And we just love you, Father. And we just love you, Father. We ask for forgiveness for the sins we have committed knowingly or unknowingly, Lord. And convict our hearts when we are in the wrong. Lord, set those captives free. Break those chains. May they fall, whatever they are. Deliver your people. And I pray for those who are hurting. For those who have lost. Those that they loved. For those who have gotten really bad news. You are the answer to all of those things, Lord. May they cry out to you. And may they find healing and strength in you and in doing so. And we just thank you, Lord. We praise you and ask for these things in your holy and almighty name. Amen. Amen. Thank you all so much. This has been Word of Mouth Podcast with Nadine Shelby. We'll see you soon. Yes. Love you. Bye.
