Welcome to the Future Perfect's first podcast, where we talk about matributes that either make us jump in joy, or jump out the window. The latest on the number of Hotspur news to miss about, transfer news that makes us deluded to win a trophy, and of course, hoping opposition clubs like Arsenal to burn down to the ground. Join me, your host, the Tagalog Hotspur, through the ups and downs of supporting this football club. Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome to the Pitch Perfect's first podcast, with your host, Jerry, the Tagalog Hotspur. In this podcast, we will be taking on goal reviews, giggles, and a little bit of glory. Before anything else, I would like to thank everyone who has watched the first episode of our podcast. Thank you so much for your support. Thank you so much for watching it. We actually are going well. Our podcast, Pitch Perfect's first podcast, has been a good performance in Apple Podcast rankings. We are now position one in the category of soccer here in the Philippines, and position 17 in the category of sports in the Philippines. Thank you all for your support, and hope that we could connect and we'll see things out. Thank you so much. Going back, I would also like to greet everyone a happy, happy Good Friday to all of my Christian and Catholic brethren out there. This is the time where we commemorate the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whatever religion you are, we respect you, and respect is earned to the ones who need it and deserve it, of course. Before anything else, before we talk about football or whatever, I just woke up from a three-hour nap. Me and the family went to a beach here in the Philippines. It was scorching hot. I'm having a little bit of sunburn. I'm becoming red like ketchup or something. I know you're supposed to put sunscreen and whatever, but you only live once. Sunburn heals after three to five days. It doesn't matter. Today is football week where the international break is done. We're going back to the Premier League. We're hoping that Spurs or whatever club that you support, except for Chelsea, Man United, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Man City, and whatever club that is rivals or is against Tottenham, do not win. Going back to the fixtures, tomorrow will be 12.30 p.m. Friday in London, UK. That's March 30 here in the Philippines, and it's March 29 there in the UK. If you're watching from the Philippines, it's going to start at 8.30 p.m. You can watch it at Setanta Sports. If you're in the UK, it starts at 12.30, early kickoff. We have one day and a few hours before it starts, so let's go and watch some football. The first game from our fixtures will be Newcastle and West Ham United. Let's go first to the injury updates from Newcastle and West Ham. I'm not really sure about the injury updates from Newcastle, but I'm just watching it from premierinjuries.com. I guess Newcastle still has a lot of injuries. We have Sven Botman, who is having a knee injury, who is probably ruled out. Sonali, of course, with a suspension, also ruled out. Lewis Miley, with a lower back injury, who is also ruled out until a very long time. Callum Wilson, also ruled out. Joe Linton, probably ruled out. I guess there's some news that he is currently being assessed, but we'll say that he is ruled out. Of course, Nick Bolt, with a shoulder injury, ruled out and also being assessed, so we'll see. And Kieran Trippier, with a late fitness test, who is probably 75%, but he had a calf or heel and a short injury. And Harvey Barnes, with a thigh injury, 50% recovery or condition, with a late fitness test. And Valentino Livramento, with a foot injury, with a 75% possibility of a status and also had a late fitness test. So let's go to West Ham United, who is lucky, I guess, with some injuries and suspensions, but there are some key players who are being assessed, like Mohamed Kudus, with a knee injury, currently being assessed, with a 50% chance of being ruled out or not. We have Cornette, Maxwell Cornette, with a thigh injury, still recovering and also being assessed, probably 50%. And of course Velasquez, also suspended because of the yellow cards, so he's going to be ruled out. So comparing the two teams based on injuries, Newcastle is getting dominated, fizzed up, and just annihilated when it comes to injuries with the whole season. It's just unfair for them, but it's not our team, and we all know the hardships of the Premier League. We're not sure about the squad, suspensions come, injuries come. So it's up to the manager, Eddie Howe, to keep their players about and keep the squad floating until the key players come back. But they are in a good place right now, I mean they deserve to be 5th and 6th, like top of the middle table, where they deserve to be. I don't think that Eddie Howe should be sacked because it's just not fair for him. I mean, give the man some time. Injuries come, injuries go, and suspensions come. Suspensions with Donnelly is a big deal, and we just have to, when it rains, it pours. When it comes to West Ham United, they did draw against Aston Villa last time in the Premier League, which is good for us because we did lose some points with Fulham. It still stings until now, it stings like a beaver, it stings like a bee, it stings like a jellyfish, it stings like a Man O' War jellyfish. It hurts until now, but we move. Talking about West Ham and Newcastle, it's Newcastle at home, West Ham away. Their stats, head to head, they played 51 times with 14 draws, and Newcastle leads with 23 total wins with West Ham. 12 wins at home, 11 wins at away for Newcastle, and West Ham with 9 home wins and 5 away wins. Their last meeting is a draw, West Ham home against Newcastle, a win, West Ham 1, Newcastle 5. Then at 2023, we have a draw with Newcastle home, West Ham away, and then another draw at West Ham, West Ham 1, and Newcastle 1 at February 2022. And of course in the league recently, they slapped Newcastle at home 2, West Ham away 4. So their form, I mean West Ham has been playing well, I guess for a team, they did draw twice at Burnley and Aston Villa, and they won away at Everton, and won 4-2 against Brentford, and of course they lost to Nottingham Forest. With Newcastle just going up and going down, I mean they have injuries, so they recently lost away at Chelsea 2-3, they won against Wolves at home 3-0, and they lost to Arsenal, they drew with Bournemouth, and of course they won with Nottingham Forest. My predictions with Newcastle and West Ham is I think it's going to be a draw, I think it's going to be a 2-2, Newcastle at home. They do draw a lot recently in the past 5 games, and I think it's going to be a 2-2 game, Newcastle's going to hold it, and I think they'll score, but I do have a feeling there could be a possibility of West Ham making a win by 1-0 against Newcastle, but I'm going to stick with a 2-2 draw. Next we have Bournemouth at home against Everton, 9am, 11pm kickoff in the Vitality Stadium, 11pm in the Philippines I mean, so a must-win game for Everton because I'm not sure if they did deduct points, but I've heard that in some news that they will have deduction from points due to FFP. In the latest stats between Bournemouth and Everton, they played 13 times with 2 draws, 5 wins, 4 home wins, and 1 away win for Bournemouth, and in Everton every time they went at home, they win every time. So I guess for me, I just think that Bournemouth will make the point for 2-0, I don't think Everton will win this, I don't care whatever squad or whatever injury updates they have, it's just a 1-0 or 2-0 win, I'm going to guess 2-0 win for Bournemouth. They're at home, they usually win at home. Next we'll have Chelsea versus Burnley, we're not going to check about the suspensions or some injury updates because it doesn't matter, it's Burnley and Chelsea, Burnley's going to get slapped, they're going to go back to the championships and get some madness for the Premier League because they just touched it and went home. Burnley's just a team who has some potential but I guess the players don't deserve to be there honestly, but I guess it's good that they're playing in the Premier League but they're just not good enough, Chelsea will win, especially at home, probably a 3-0, 3-0 Chelsea against Burnley. Next we have Nottingham Forest, 11pm kickoff in the Philippine time, Nottingham Forest at home against Crystal Palace. There's one important stat when it comes to Nottingham Forest at home against Crystal Palace. So Nottingham Forest at the city ground has won 2 wins at home, 1 away and Crystal Palace hasn't won anything at all except draws of course. So I think their last 5 games against each other was like 0-0, 1-1, 1-0 for Nottingham Forest, 2-1 for Nottingham Forest away and of course recently with 1-0 Nottingham Forest. So Crystal Palace will try to make things squeaky but I just think that Nottingham Forest will still win, probably 2-0 because, let me change that, it's Nottingham 1 and Crystal Palace 0, I don't think that Crystal Palace could win, I don't think there will be a new manager bounce and yeah, whatever. Next we'll have Sheffield United and Fulham, it's home at Sheffield United, 11pm kickoff ESP and one thing that I just remembered, Fulham probably has the worst football icon or football emblem in the whole Premier League, probably one of the worst in the whole world. Imagine if you play Football Manager or Top Eleven or whatever, Football Manager games and you just pick a random emblem, let me think of a black and white emblem and instead of putting a tiger or a lion or whatever, they just put FSC and they just curve it a bit to make it look like something else. Some sort of an icon, some sort of a weird hieroglyphics or whatever and it's just bad, it's probably one of the worst. I think Sheffield United is better when it comes to the emblem but unfortunately emblems don't win games. I think Sheffield United at home will still lose to Fulham probably 2-0 with Fulham winning the point. Even though we do not want Fulham and we want Sheffield United to 5-0 Fulham because of what they did, we deserve to lose and Fulham will win this one. Next we'll have the most important game of the day, 11pm kickoff, Tottenham Hotspurs vs Luton Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a recent stat here where they've only faced head-to-head once and that is this season at Kenilworth Road where they were the first one with 10 men. Speaking of Micky Van De Ven, one important team news that I recently got for this game is from Ansh where Ansh Postakoglu has confirmed Micky Van De Ven, Micky Van Nistaroy, Micky Van De Vendetta has returned to training after his injury layoff and will be available for season 2. He will be available for selection when Luton make a trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. As we all know, Micky Van De Ven was forced to get off when we won 4-0 against Aston Villa and he was expected to miss at least 3 weeks of action but luckily we had international break and now he's back and I think he's going to play for the Luton game. And of course, Manor Solomon and Fraser Forster remains the two long absentees. We have a quote here from Ansh where he said, everyone got through the internationals okay, which was important for us, everyone came back and trained full today. Good news for us, I think we'll slap, we will destroy, we will put Luton back to the championship, 3-0, a brace for Son and a goal for Kulosevsky. That's my prediction, we will win that easily. I don't care about any excuses, I don't care about whatever, like the first half is going to be boring and then the second half they will win. I don't think Luton will score but maybe they will. Maybe I'll change it to 3-1. Tottenham 3, Luton 1. Next will be Sunday, March 31 at 1.30am kickoff. We have Aston Villa and Wolves. Aston Villa has a lot of suspension, not really a lot of suspension but of course their captain got suspended and Wolves are playing well as of the moment. I think Wolves will win, I do think that Aston Villa will still win but I just hope Wolves will win 1-0. Brentford vs Man Utd, Brentford at home. Brentford needs to win this if they want to stay up because they're really living on the tight rope, they're almost in the bottom. But since Luton and Burnley and Sheffield and probably Everton are playing poorly and then the FFP and whatever, Brentford are still staying up but they need to win this and I think that it's going to be a draw. 2-2 Brentford 2, Man Utd 2. Then we have Liverpool vs Brighton. I'm not really sure if Liverpool actually lost at home. Did they lose at home? I'm not sure. But with their head-to-heads with Liverpool and Brighton, they played 13 times, they drew 4 times and Liverpool has won 7 games in total, 4 away games and 3 away games against Brighton and Brighton won 1 home win and 1 away win. So yeah, Liverpool dropped points against Brighton but it still wouldn't matter because Liverpool will win against Brighton. I think in their form, they won 5 wins in a row according to the Premier League. They won against Burnley, Brentford, Luton, Nottingham Forest and Drew against Man City. You could argue that the early 4 teams are not the greatest of all teams but in their form, I think they'll win against Brighton 3-1. The next game will be one of the most important games of the season, that is Man City vs Arsenal. At 11.30 kick-off on Sunday, March 31 at the Etihad Stadium, Man City home, Arsenal away. This is probably one of the highest, most important games of the season because this could literally show us who is winning the title. But in their latest stats, they played 53 times with 10 draws. Man City have played 19 total wins with 12 home wins, 7 away wins and Arsenal with 24 total wins with 13 home wins and 11 away wins. Arsenal has been playing well against the head-to-head with Man City and Arsenal. Man City and Pep would consider the North London teams with Arsenal and Nottingham to be their kryptonite. With the recent meetings, Man City won before a 5-0 and then Arsenal lost 2-1, Arsenal lost again 3-1 and Man City won 4-1 last year. And of course this season, Arsenal won 1-0 with Man City and I guess Man City has a lot of injuries. But now we'll be checking the Man City injuries. John Stones with a muscle injury, Kanji doubtful with a knock, just a knock. We have also Kyle Walker with a knock but also doubt, let's say 50-50. De Bruyne with a groin injury, probably a very key player here in the game. We have Ederson with a thigh injury. So Man City has a lot of players who are injured and are suspended. I heard Doko has an injury, probably a doubt. Nunez has a broken finger but he'll still play. John Stones, Kanji, Nunez, Walker, De Bruyne and Ederson. I think Walker and Kanji and Nunez could probably play. De Bruyne is a key player. I just hope they'll play. With Arsenal, probably Bukayo Saka, Timber and Martinelli is one of the most important players for this game. This is from Mark Mayo in the Standard 5 article. Martinelli have already done so for Brazil. Brazil likewise had defender Gabriel and Tomas Partey and Tomiaso played in a behind closed doors friendly defeat by QPR. Timber is also back in full training. I don't need to read this. I think Arsenal has a full squad. They always do. It doesn't matter. They have great depth and Man City is having some issues right now when it comes to the injuries. But I still hope that Man City will win 2-1 against Arsenal. I guess we're done with our fixtures for this week. Going back to the Spurs and Luton game, it has been 2 or 3 weeks from the Fulham game. It has been a hard time. It was a wake up call for them. Son even said that they didn't play well. It was just not their day. I believe it was just not their day. They lost tactically. They lost in their head. They probably underestimated Fulham. I hope that Ange has given them a wake up call, improved in their training. Please give us 5-0. I predicted 2-0 or 3-0 but please Spurs give us 5-0 so that we could have the high hopes that we could be in the top 4. We're not in the title race. I don't believe we are in the title race. It's Ange's first season. We hope and we keep on this Ange train. Let's just play our football. Let's work better in the first half because in the past few games we haven't been playing well in our first half. We have been playing Netflix and chill football. I just realized that Spurs is a Netflix and chill football. In the first half they just watch the movie and in the second half they just destroy the teams. I just hope that we're not like that. We hope it's going to be like pounding non-stop against Luton like the ones we did against Burnley before where we just keep on scoring. The one we did at Aston Villa. We all know that the first half at Aston Villa is not that good. I just hope that we could at least win by the first half instead of chilling and just playing better in the second half. I hope Bisuma will play well. Ever since that Luton game, which is now the Luton game, he got the second yellow. He was sent off in the first half, probably lost against Luton. But rather than let us win with Madison, Bisuma has to step up. I'm not sure if he plays, but I just hope that he steps up. And then Son will probably score. I just believe that he will. I'm not sure with Richarlison because I think if Richarlison is still injured, I'm not really sure. But overall we don't have any excuses. We have almost a fifth squad. We have enough players to beat Luton. Luton is like bottom half of the table. We are the top half. We have to act like a top team. It doesn't matter. But we want Aston Villa to lose. We want Man City and Arsenal to at least draw. But we want Arsenal to lose, of course. Liverpool, we want Liverpool to win. Because I just think that Liverpool will win the league for Man City. And if Man City wins, it's just Man City against Liverpool. Because Arsenal has a very tough fixture. They will have to face us in another North London derby at home. They will face Man Utd. And even though Man Utd hasn't been playing well, they do win against... They do show a game. They do bring us a game when it comes to Arsenal. And Arsenal will play two legs with Bayern Munich. And I hope that agent Harry Kane will support us and be a... I mean he mentioned he is a Tottenham fan. And I hope he destroys Arsenal and put them in the ground where they belong. So thank you all for listening to this podcast. This is my first fixture review and prediction for this week. I hope we will have more like this. I think I will put this on my podcast platform. Speaking of podcast platforms, we are now available in all podcast platforms. Not really all, but the common ones. If you're asking, we are available on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Pocketcasts, Radio Public and also Spotify. You can also send a voice message. We do have a poll every podcast on Spotify if you want to talk about something that we could mention in the next episode of the podcast. I'm also starting my own socials which I will be posting soon. I will be starting my own Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and whatever socials are there. So yeah, that will be all for today's video. Thank you so much for listening. Thank you so much for clicking. And I hope you have a good day. I hope you have a great week. Again, Happy Holy Week to my Christian brethren. Thank you, thank you so much for the support.
