Mr. B, a math teacher, is seeking solutions for his students who struggle with fractions. He found a website called greatschools.org that recommended a program called Math Talk. This program helps students align and complete their math problems on computers, with a speech component to read the problems aloud. Mr. B can integrate this program into his classroom using his smart board, and students can follow along on their computers. It helps students understand the correct ways to line up numbers and avoid mistakes. For more information, check out the consumer tips for evaluating assisted technology and products online. Good evening and welcome to another Problem with Problems. Tonight, we will discuss a current teacher's dilemma with his math students. Mr. B's students struggle with fractions and he came to me to find some solutions. He mentioned that his class has students with varied ability levels and learning disabilities in math. As I was preparing for our talk tonight, I found a website called greatschools.org. Kristen Stanberg wrote reviews for the website. In March 2016, she suggested Math Talk. It's an electronic math worksheet program. This program helps students align, organize, and complete their math programs on their classroom computers. It also has a synthesized speech component to read the problem. Mr. B can integrate this into his classroom on his smart board. He can use it to teach his lessons and the students can follow along because he downloaded the programs on the classroom computers. With this program, students can see the correct ways to line up numbers and avoid confusion and mistakes. If you have any questions about the product I spoke about this evening, you can check it out online at the consumer tips for evaluating assisted technology and products. Thank you and have a great night.
