The speaker discusses the main ideas from a book by Whitley Strieber. The book focuses on three things: losing time, speculating about the visitors (whom he believes are fairies), and wanting to make contact with the aliens. The speaker questions the authenticity of the book, citing Whitley's claims of having an alien brain chip and his reputation as a liar. They also mention that Whitley has made money from the book, which makes it seem like a cash grab. And that is pretty much the last event he talks about in the story. And that is pretty much the last event he talks about in the book. For the rest of the book, he mainly talks about like three things. For the rest of the book, he mainly talks about three things. One, he talks about how he's losing time. So he has like this phenomenon now where he'll be cooking a Hot Pocket, he'll put it in the oven, it'll be like 2 o'clock. And then when he takes it out, it's like 8 o'clock now. So he loses time like that. And he kind of like documents it. And it's really not that interesting because I feel like he could just have somebody to stare at him and then see what he does. But the second thing he talks about is he speculates what these things are. Like, what are these visitors? And his main thing is that he thinks that they're fairies. And the main thing about him is that he talks about how these. And the main thing he talks about here is he talks about how like back in the day, there used to be like fairy abductions. So these fairies would like lure people into like these wonderful worlds and they'd be gone and come back like years later. And he pretty much says that these fairies are aliens and whatnot. And the last thing he talks about in the book is kind of like wanting to be an ambassador. So he kind of like acknowledges that he has these experiences and he knows that he's the only one that's having them and he's one of the chosen ones. But what he wants to do is he wants to make contact with these aliens. And he wants to do it by talking to them when he's not hypnotized. So he wants to make contact, but he wants to do it when he's not hypnotized. So he has to find a way to like not be hypnotized because these aliens are always going to hypnotize him. So it's not really going to work out for him. I know he has a different... I know he has another book where he claims he... I know he has another book where he kind of like claims that he can like talk to them now. But I haven't read that book, so I can't really say much about it. But for the ending of the book, which is pretty much... Which is... But for the ending of... But for the ending of the book, and I thought this was... But for the ending of the book, and I thought the ending was pretty okay, he's kind of like... But for the ending of the book, and I thought this part was pretty interesting, he puts his wife under hypnosis. Now, I haven't really talked... Now, I haven't really talked about... Now, I haven't really talked a lot about... Now, I haven't really talked about his wife that much, but the main gist of it is that his wife... But the main gist of it... But the main thing about his wife is that she doesn't believe him. She thinks he's kind of like crazy, and they almost got a divorce because of it. And they put her under hypnosis, and the main thing she comes out is that... And the main thing about the wife's hypnosis... And the main thing about the wife's hypnosis is that she kind of explains that she knew that he was getting abducted, and she was put on... And she... And she was... And her main thing, or her main goal in life is to make sure that he's okay, and to... And by her denying that it ever happened, it kind of like keeps Whitley in this like state where he doesn't seem crazy, because she says that if... Because she says that if she like acknowledged that he was being abducted, then... Because if she acknowledged that he was being abducted, then Whitley would just go insane because he has these memories, and he knows he's being abducted, so it would kind of like ruin him forever. And when I was reading it... And the book makes it seem like she's like a good person, and the book makes it seem like she's doing it because she wants to protect him, but when I was reading it, it felt more like she was just gaslighting him, like kind of like the aliens planted her so that he never finds out he's being abducted. That's just what I thought about it, but... But now we get... But now we get into it. Is it all real? Did it really happen? Um... I want to say it probably didn't. Like, I don't want to... I want to say it probably... I want to say that it probably didn't happen. And the main reason I say that is for a couple of reasons. For one, he has like... For one, he makes a pretty bold claim. For one, he makes a pretty bold claim. He says he has an alien brain chip stuck in his head, but for some reason, we have never seen this alien brain chip. Like, I don't... Like, for instance, we have like the Neuralink, and the Neuralink's like a pretty big deal. Everybody's like keeping... Everyone's pretty much like... Everyone is like kind of like following that and just kind of like seeing how that goes, and like Elon Musk is... And everybody's interested. So, for one, we have like the Neuralink. The Neuralink's like a pretty big deal, but I've never heard of Whitley's like brain implant until like I read this book. And he's... And he gave a couple of interviews showing that... And he gave a couple of interviews where he says that he had got... And he... And he gave a couple of interviews where he says that he has like this CAT scan, and it shows that he has like an implant in his brain, but no one's really talking about it. So, it makes me see... So, I... And no one's really talking about it. So, I kind of assume that it's not really real, or they looked at it and they say that there's nothing there. And that's pretty much what he says. And in the book, at least in this book, he says that... And in his book, he says... And in the book itself, it says that like he went to like these neurologists and they couldn't find anything. Although in some interviews, he kind of talks about... Although in the interviews that I've seen, he... Although in the interviews that I've seen, he kind of like says that he tried to get it removed. And when he tried to get it removed, it went into his ear. So, they couldn't find it and there's nothing there. So, it's kind of a little convenience. I don't know how I feel about it. And he also says that this brain implant, it makes him a lot smarter. He says that he could learn how to do anything he wants. He could be a doctor if he really wanted to, which I kind of don't buy it. Like, I mean, he's a pretty good author. Like, I mean, he's a pretty good author, don't get me wrong, because he wrote the short story, I think, for The Day After Tomorrow. So, he does have like a good amount of success. But it's not enough for... But just because like he's a good author, it doesn't necessarily mean he has his brain implant and that the brain implant helped him, like, be a good author. So, that's my main reason why I don't believe it. Now, if you look... Now, if you search... Now, if you do a little bit of research on Whitley, he's actually kind of a liar. And the reason I say that, though, is because back in the day, he actually made some pretty... And the reason I say that is because, like, one of the biggest things about him is that his reputation is kind of like not that good. And I don't know about... And now it's probably not that big of a deal. But back in the day when this book came out, the main thing about him is that he claimed he was in, like, the Texas massacre shooting, where, like, the one guy was shooting... Where, like, the shooter was, like, on this tower and he was... Where the shooter was, like, on this tower, just sniping people in the University of Texas, I think. And he claimed to be there. He says that when he was there... And he says that he was there, and he says that he was, like, walking, and he saw, like, all these people just get gunned down, that he was, like, the only survivor. So that's a pretty big claim. And they pretty... And people were able to figure out that it wasn't true, that they interviewed his mom. And they interviewed his mom, and his mom told them that he was never even there on that day. So, you know, a mom pretty much knows when things like that are real or not. And, you know, a mom pretty much... And, you know, a mom... And, you know, like, his mom would know where he was that day because she probably saw in the news that somebody was shooting him down. She's probably like, luckily Whitley's downstairs. But, yeah, I just didn't want to mention that in the very beginning because... I just didn't want to mention it in the very beginning because it doesn't really affect, like, the book itself. Although... Although one thing I would like to say is that, like, I've seen a lot of these stories where people come out, they say they saw... Although I want to say that I've seen, like, a lot of these stories where people come out and they say they saw a lot of these people, a lot of these stories where people come out and they say that they've seen, like, these creatures or ghosts or whatever ghost story they have. And the main thing they always say is, like, I've never made any money doing this. And the main thing they... And the main thing people say... And the main thing people say is, like, they say, I've never made any money from this. If anything, it's made my life worse because people call me a liar. And that's not the case for Whitley because he's made millions doing this book, so... So it doesn't really, like, lend to the... So it doesn't really, like, make it more credible. So it doesn't... So he can't really, like, say that excuse, like... So he can't really, like, use that, like, as an excuse. So he can't really, like, use that. So he can't really, like, say that because he's made, like, so much money printing this book. And it kind of, like, leans... Like, it kind of, like, leans... Like, it kind of... Like, it kind of believes... Like, it makes me believe that... Like, it makes me believe that this is more of, like, a cash grab, like, you know, he's just doing it just because. And he just needs to keep... And he just needs to keep the lie alive, but that's just what I think. I'm not here to convince you whether it's good or not. I'm not here to convince you whether it's true or not. That's just, I'm just laying out the facts and what I think. But that's about it. But that's about it, peace. But that's about it. Let me know what you guys think and peace.
