Teenagers can be enthusiastic about learning when they feel interested in the subject matter presented to them and when they understand how it will help them in the real world. Working on projects is very effective, and this can be done through a central challenge that is developed through a series of activities. The goal is to connect knowledge and learning processes with the real world. Each week, a guiding question can be posed that is anchored to the main ideas and ways of knowing in each field of knowledge. This question can be addressed through work with texts, problems, debates, and other active teaching strategies that place teenagers in a leading role and promote the development of planning, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. Los adolescentes pueden entusiasmarse para aprender cuando se sienten interesados en la materia que se les presenta y cuando comprenden cómo ésta les ayudará en el mundo real. Algo muy efectivo es trabajar con proyectos, que lo podemos hacer a través de un desafío central, que se irá desarrollando a través de una serie de actividades que buscamos vincular el conocimiento y los procesos de aprendizaje con el mundo real. Esto puede ser posible cada semana, realizando una pregunta guía que esté anclada a grandes ideas y modos de conocer de cada campo del conocimiento. Podremos abordarla a través de trabajos con textos, con problemas, con debates y cualquier otra estrategia didáctica activa que posicionen a los adolescentes en un rol protagónico y que promuevan el desarrollo de capacidades de planificación, resolución de problemas, colaboración y comunicación.
