Praise ye the Lord. Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord. Beloved, thank you so much for tuning in to our prayer startup. I am Amanda Bedu from Harvest Chapel International, Dignami Kumasi, and I'll be presenting today's morning glory devotion. Kindly let's pray. Gracious Lord, we thank you for today. We thank you for this opportunity to study the word. We pray that you open our eyes, that we may understand this word, and grant us the grace to apply it in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen. Beloved, our topic for today is titled, Speak Good, Speak Kind. Speak Good, Speak Kind. And our scripture reading is taken from Ephesians chapter 4 verse 29. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Amen. Speak Good, Speak Kind. Dear one, as a believer, your words carry power and must be used to minister grace to others. The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 18 verse 21, that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruits thereof. Our tongues are a very vital instrument that can determine the course of our lives. The words we utter to ourselves and to others carry a lot of power and the ability to produce life or death. Like a radar to the ship, the tongue is able to steer the affairs of our lives as it is an introduction to what lies in the innermost parts of our hearts. The words we speak to others have the ability to create or destroy. Many of us are able to remember a certain encouraging word spoken to us by an adult when we were younger, even though many years have passed. In the same way, a negative word also spoken to us has had the ability to remain in our memories and be buried deeply in our hearts throughout our lives. This goes to prove that words are like arrows that can pierce the soul directly, having the ability to either uplift or crush. As such, we must be mindful of how we speak to one another. We can choose to uplift instead of destroy. The soothing tongue is a tree of life, and when we speak with kindness and grace, we help to build one another up. We must start by learning to speak kindly even to ourselves and not to use self-deprecating words because they only cripple us. Our Master Jesus never spoke negatively about himself, and we mustn't either. We must also pray for prudence, so we may know when to speak and what to say. Beloved, be determined to speak kindly to yourself and to others today, and let your speech be graceful, good, kind, and edifying to the glory of God. Shalom. Our memory verse is taken from Psalm 141 verse 3. Set a guard over my mouth, Lord. Keep watch over the door of my lips. Set a guard over my mouth, Lord. Keep watch over the door of my lips. Amen. Please let's pray. Dear Lord, we thank you for this reminder that our speech must be graceful and edifying. We pray for the ability to have self-control even in our speech and to have kindness, empathy, grace, and goodness towards people and ourselves today in our speech. Thank you for an answered prayer in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you for tuning in, beloved. Please kindly stay tuned for more Spirit-filled content and have a blessed day. Amen. you
