Rosalie Nortin, a student studying Child Care Education, discusses her grandmother's controversial death with medical assistance. Her grandmother had three types of cancer and was diagnosed with brain cancer last. Rosalie learned about her grandmother's illness on her birthday, and her grandmother passed away two days before her mother's birthday. The decision to die with medical assistance is a contentious topic, and more information can be found on Canada.ca or Quebec.ca. Hi, my name is Rosalie Nortin. I'm 20 years old, and I'm studying in the Child Care Education at TCCF. It will be my third year studying in this year. In today's podcast, we're going to talk about my grandma's death. My grandma's death is very controversial because she has to die with the medical assistance of time. She was diagnosed with three cancers. She had a brain cancer, a lung cancer, and a kidney cancer. The last cancer she was diagnosed with was the brain. She was diagnosed on, I would say, the last week of January, just before the semester started. The first that she was diagnosed with, I would say, was the kidney. Before my birthday, she knew that she was diagnosed, but didn't tell anybody. So, on my birthday, when she was there, she was feeling weird. She was weird. Everybody told me, Rosalie, is your grandma okay? Like, I don't know if she's sick or not. So, five days after my birthday, we went to my grandma's house. And when we leave, my mom told me, Rosalie, your grandma has a cancer. We don't know which one yet, but she had a cancer. I was like, okay. So, one day, my mom went to my grandma's house. And she was seeing some weird people. And my mom was, oh, something is wrong. So, she went to the hospital with my grandma. And two hours later, she was diagnosed with a brain cancer. So, the prototype to my grandma's was she probably won't make it to the summer. And that's what happened. So, she died on the 26th of June, two days before my mom's birthday. So, just to make sure that you know, my mom, it no longer happens. So, we all know that the medical decision of dying is something very controversial for everyone. And always, I can find all the details of the medical decision of Canada.ca or Quebec.ca. So, thank you for listening to the podcast. And we will see us next week. Bye.
