This is The Daily Reflection, a place for healing and dealing with grief. The song "Green Lights" by Aloe Blacc is shared, reminding us of smooth and easy days. In grief, it may feel like every day is rough, but we can use techniques like holding memories in a special container to honor them gradually. Reflect on the idea of having a day full of green lights. Listen to the song and imagine your own green light day. Thank you for listening and have a beautiful day. Welcome to The Daily Reflection, a place where you can safely come near grief and move toward healing. Set an intention to remind yourself that a rough day can get smoother. If not today, maybe tomorrow. I'm including a link to a song by Aloe Blacc called Green Lights. This is an upbeat, catchy tune about driving and only getting green lights. Imagine what happens when you think about driving, and you never have to stop at a red light, and you get green lights all the way. The song reminded me of days that feel smooth and easy. In grief, it may feel like days are rough and chaotic. On a heavy grief day, you may feel like you're hitting every red light. After listening to this audio, take 3 minutes and listen to the song where I've provided the link and pay attention to the instruments, his words, and the rhythm, and just notice the upbeat sound of hope that he offers. How are you feeling right now? What kind of a day are you having? Are you having a green light or a red light day? Or is there another phrase that best fits what kind of day you are having? Action. Use action step as a way to hold the memories of your loved one in a meaningful way. Find a special bowl or an empty bottle or container. You can decorate it if you wish. Make slips of paper that you can write memories of your loved one on. Jot these memories down when they come to you and put them in the container. You can open these and review them when you are ready, or just leave them. It's important to find techniques to contain your grief as a way to move through it. This helps you honor memories a little bit at a time. Reflect on the idea of green lights all the way. I want you to imagine a green light day in your future. Don't forget to listen to the song and notice the rhythm of hope and imagine your green light day will come. I'm including the lyrics in my written article. Thank you so much for listening and I hope you have a beautiful day.
